His sack numbers are solid, but his tackles and even snaps taken are somewhat anemic. Yet every time I watch the Broncos play, Elvis Dumervil seems to be a _constant_ source of irritation for the other team, and that's especially true on any down where I think "man, [insert Broncos opponent] has to make a big throw here." The Bengals are certainly cursing his name today.
Maybe Broncos fans (or obsessive haters) will tell me otherwise, but his impact seems consistent, significant, and nationally underappreciated. A lot of teams missed on a big-time playmaker, largely because another set of numbers -- his measurables -- were unimpressive. The guy is the essence of an odds-defier.
What a draft for the Broncos. Cutler, Dumervil, Marshall, Sheffler, etc.

Bronco fan:Can't figure this guy. Must be hard for the other team to plan against. Sure has 'game'. One of those special players that defies the 'numbers'.A great pickup for my Broncs. Adds a nice dimension to a D that appears to have some potential. With Marshall looking good opposite Walker, adding Sheffler at the offence/game-plan locking TE position, Cutler at the helm all they need is a RB?? and the future is looking good for Shanny and crew.
