Dumping Fanball-Advice appreciated (1 Viewer)

My league is considering dumping Fanball and we're thinking about making a move. However, we use rather unusual DST scoring.

We score standard 2 per interception/fumble recovery, 1 per sack and 8 per TD (punt, KO, fumble, int). However the real difference is that we also score -1 point for each point allowed with a +5 point bonus for a shut out. I know that this isn't that unusual, but it's important for any site we use to have this scoring.

I have often seen My Fantasy League and RT Sports mentioned here as good sites. I've checked the scoring at the site itself but don't see anything mentioning if our specific scoring system is supported. If anyone could could give me some feedback as to their experience with these (or other good sites) I would appreciate it.

One of our members is pushing for CBS which does support our rule set, however we are looking for something a little less expensive.

Cheers,

akaoni

RTSports would be handle your scoring. Send them e-mail at support@rtsports.com for details.

By the way...we are also giving a 50% discount to any league that switches to us from any competitor.

We've been using RTSports for 7 years. It's been a great site for us. Currently running a 36 team, 3 division league without any problems.

Thanks folks. I checked out both RT Sports and MFL (and even made up a trial league at MFL). Both look like good sites. Unfortunately, the grey hairs in my league balked at the price increase so it was decided to stick with Fanball for one...more...year, after I had put in the leg work of course.

Hopefully Fanball won't have the awful start they had last year.

I commished a couple leagues on RTS for several years and I can tell you without any hesitation that MFL is more commish friendly.

MFL is cheaper than Fanball if you factor in the 50% discount - less than $45. see this page.

We were with Fanball since 2002 until last year's debacle. We left midseason for MFL, got a full refund from Fanball, and are never looking back, Had a lot of similar resistance to moving but after a week or two, it was all forgotten.

Big fan of RT sports myself. Run 2 leagues on them and have nothing but good things to say about them.

This year we finally switched from Fanball to Fox Sports. What had prevented us from switching before was double-headers every week. But Fox Sports now supports that and is completely customizable, for free.

Maybe you should check it out and get your money back from Fanball?
