Dwayne Harris or Terrance Williams?....who is first up? (1 Viewer)

I think that Williams is more talented, and more suitable for the outside - Harris hasn't really impressed when he has been given the chance - and a report surfaced today that said that Williams would be the starter if Miles is out.

I think Harris has looked good when given the chance. He has a hip injury right now, but he said he will play Sunday.

Any chance Terrence Williams, if he plays well this weekend, Wally Pips the perennially injured Miles Austin? Is he a good before hand stash? I don’t know much about him at all. I briefly checked his college pedigree and looks solid.

They both share WR2 targets. It's a committee. Romo's looks will go in this order Dez --> Witten --> Murray --> Williams/Harris.

Anyone have high hopes for Terrence Williams this week?

Denver's surely gonna double team Dez often and Denver LBs will be all over Witten.

And since my prediction is they have to keep up with Peyton and his crew in scoring, Romo will have to throw for at least 3 TDs to keep it close.

Will T Will be a benefactor in at least one of those TDs?

Thoughts?

I'm looking a bit closer into this situation since I have zero faith in Miles Austin and his bum hammy.

Week 4 Snap/Snap Percentage

Bryant - 59 (100%)

Williams - 51 (85%)

Beasly - 32 (54%)

Harris - 21 (36%)

Week 4 Targets/Production

Bryant - 9 targets, 6/81/2

Williams - 8 targets, 7/77/0

Beasley - 3 targets, 3/16/0

Harris - 2 targets, 1/30/0

Now, assuming Williams once again assumes WR2 duties, how could you not like him in a shootout vs. DEN?

Agree with the above two posts. Struggling between Terrance Williams and Jeremy Kerley in a deep PPR flex spot, but I think the matchup with Denver at home will make me lean towards Williams.

I am going with Austin or Williams (if Austin is still out) . . .

Hopefully Dallas can keep up with Denver (unlike what happened with Philadelphia).

Picked up Williams, dropping Baldwin. Sounds like the team has confidence in him despite the fumble, and they have some tasty matchups in coming weeks: Den., Wash., Philly, Det., Minn. Good late season matchups too.

Dwayne Harris (hip) was downgraded from "full" to "limited" on Thursday.
It's likely just a precaution after Harris played through the injury in Week 4, though it's possible he tweaked it in Wednesday's practice. Even in the absence of Miles Austin, Harris was the Cowboys' clear No. 3 receiver last Sunday, catching just one pass as rookie Terrance Williams monopolized snaps opposite Dez Bryant.

He ended with only 4 targets which makes his performance all the more unbelievable. I won't go as far to say it was a fluke but I was sure hoping for more targets to help solidify long-term value.

Considering dropping Givens for him, but the targets - as you referenced - gives me pause. Still, good game for the rook.

I dropped Givens for him before last Sunday.

I have no idea what Williams ends up doing, but Givens appears to be somewhere around the 5th or 6th option for Sam Bradford. That just doesn't seem like a guy to own.

He has certainly sucked thus far. He did lead Wr's in targets this game....yeah, I know; I'm grasping here. I just am a believer in his talent, but clearly he hasn't been a fit for this offense thus far. It is very frustrating.

Austin definitely isn't a lock to return next week. He hasn't had any setbacks but he also hasn't practiced, so until he puts in a full practice I'll treat Williams as a WR3/flex once again next week vs. WAS.

Yeah, I like him. I just ran out of patience (a habit I've often paid dearly for)

Austin practiced in full this today which is pretty surprising. Assuming he doesn't suffer a set back, I do not feel comfortable starting Williams this week, even in a plus-match up if Austin suits up.

It's Washington people - if you cant start a third WR from the same team against the Skins - then you can never start one . . . remember Laurent Robinson in 2011??

Aside from GB, I don't see any evidence from WAS's previous games to suggest that the forth option in a passing attack (which he could conceivably be) is guaranteed any type of real production. I mean, it's definitely possible but I truly wouldn't feel very confident starting him. Judging by these stats..

Snap Percentages

Dez Bryant - 94% - 88% - 100% - 100% - 95%

Miles Austin - 91% - 92% - 63% - 0% - 0%

Terrence Williams - 47% - 41% - 56% - 86% - 91%

Cole Beasley - 0% - 0% - 10% - 54% - 36%

Dwayne Harris - 5% - 7% - 19% - 36% - 45%

Targets

Dez Bryant - 8 - 13 - 6 - 9- 10 (46 total)

Miles Austin - 12 - 4 - 5 - 0 - 0 (21 total)

Terrence Williams - 4 - 4 - 0 - 8 - 4 (1 rush) (20 total)

Cole Beasley - 0 - 0 - 1 - 3 - 4 (8 total)

Dwayne Harris - 3 - 1 - 1 - 2 - 2 (9 total)

Assuming worst case scenario, you're looking at 40% play time and 4 targets. As always, opportunity proceeds production. Also, don't forget Beasley and Harris are factors as well. He really need that 90%ish snap count for me to feel comfortable starting him.
