bizarre, but not as crazy as Keller going 5th unless there is some weird scoring that favors TE's.Bramel taking Brohm over Felix was a big mistake IMO.

There is a FFAish one that you missed.
TE yardage (all)= .15 per yardTE receptions = 1.5 pt per catchIf I recall TE's get 2 points per receptionThat is ubsurd.
Receiving TD = 6 pts 0-19 yards
Receiving TD = 8 pts 20-39 yards
Receiving TD = 10 pts 40+ yards
TE's accounted for 2 of the top 10 scorers and 4 of the top 19.
ETA: You can start up to 3 TE's and do not need to start a RB if you choose. Very flexible starting lineups...

You're right in that nothing is certain. So who's to say that McGahee doesn't tear up his knee giving Rice the starting job? Rice is a very talented back that will get carries. I made that pick. And I probably would've taken Rice as high as 4.... MAYBE even 3 (Stewart's VAST injury history is a concern to me)... even if I didn't have McGahee. 1. Indeed... nothing is certain. All the more reason for me to go w/ a player I like and want to own.
2. I can't afford to have my 1st round rookie pick play this year. It's a salary cap league and I'm waaaaaaaaaaay up there. Rookies who sit on the practice squad only count 50% towards the cap. So although I think Ray Ray can make an MJD like impression on the league his rookie year... I hope he doesn't so I can just keep him on the practice squad all season.
3. I'll refer you back to your first point... NOTHING IS CERTAIN. So, FTRWRTR, whatever you think "the reality of his situation" is going to be next year... the fact of the matter is YOU DON'T KNOW.
When I see Rice run, I see a guy who could be a NFL stud. His work ethic and character (on and off the field) are the epitome of professionalism... despite the numerous hurdles and challenges life has thrown at him. So I'm willing to bet he finds success at the next level. (clearly)

and all 3 behind C.Johnson. (I like Ray's talent more, but expecting at least one year on the bench causes me to drop him behind Johnson). Smith a close 3rd thanks to opportunity, and Jones really isn't on my list 'cause ADP says so.there really is no concensus this year. Just look at the post above. One of those had DMC 3rd. Several had M'hall 4th. Very good, deep and polarizing class.

Just commenting on what looks to be his adp so far (1.6-1.8). After checking in this morning, I see that it's a 2qb league that would make sense in the position run.The only guy ahead of him that was a real reach was Torian.The first round was heavily laden with QBs, CJ was the 9th RB off the board. I personally would have taken him before Torian, Smith, and Forte - but that's it. And two of those guys are probably starters, and the other is a DEN RB whose owner is a DEN RB hype victim.
