Dating back to last season, Mississippi State senior QB Dak Prescott has not thrown an interception in 274 pass attempts.

Prescott holds an 11/0 TD/INT ratio over the course of 225 pass attempts this season. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound senior's coming off his best statistical game of the year. He completed 30-of-43 passes for 347 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 45-20 win over Louisiana Tech last Saturday. This weekend, he faces Kentucky. By the numbers, that interception-free streak isn't likely to end. The Wildcats have just four picks on the season, tied for 12th in the SEC. And they haven't intercepted a pass in any of their last three games. If Prescott manages to navigate his next 52 throws without being picked off, he'll break the SEC record of 325 blemish-free passes set by Kentucky's Andre Woodson.

Career Day for Paxton Lynch as Memphis Overwhelms Tulsa

Player of the game: Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch. The junior showed all the traits that have made him a rising star in the college football landscape. An NFL arm, accuracy, underrated athleticism and smart decision-making were on display in the Tigers’ win. His mastery of the offense and game management allowed the Tigers to control the game with confidence, even as Tulsa put together some big plays of its own as the Golden Hurricane tried to rally. Lynch finished 32-of-44 for a career-high 447 yards and four touchdowns while leading the Tigers to 7.33 yards per play and 704 total yards of offense.

Devontae Booker - RB - Utes

Utah senior RB Devontae Booker could have a big performance against USC on Saturday.

Booker is clearly Utah's bell cow, and USC gave up 214 yards on 6.1 per carry last week against Notre Dame. USC, surprisingly, is favored by 3.5 points against No. 3 Utah. Booker and the Utes' defense are the critical pieces for a victory Saturday. He is averaging 4.9 yards per carry this year.

Very interested in the 6'7 deep touch passing QB Paxton Lynch for the 2016 draft.

Looks like the #1 pick to me at this point in time. Obviously early and subject to change but, MAN does this guy look like the real deal.

Pittsburgh junior WR Tyler Boyd recorded 12 catches for 93 yards in Saturday's 23-20 win over Syracuse.

We all know the Panthers are a one-man show on offense. In this hard-fought win -- Pitt mostly trailed -- that was more apparent than ever. In addition to his receiving work, Boyd ran six times for 34 yards and even completed a 38-yard pass. Were it not for Boyd, the 6-1 Panthers would be struggling to reach bowl eligibility.

Hunter Henry - TE - Razorbacks

Arkansas junior TE Hunter Henry caught five passes for 68 yards in the school's 54-46 win over Auburn.

It was Henry's best performance since week two of the season. Henry is already intriguing NFL evaluators thanks to his skills in both the running and passing games, however, that does not mean he will rack up large stats at the college level. Arkansas does like to utilize two tight end sets.

Ohio State redshirt junior WR Michael Thomas caught five passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 49-7 win over Rutgers.

Thomas averaged 20.6 yards per reception and caught a nice 50-yard touchdown pass from new/old friend J.T. Barrett midway through the quarter. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound redshirt junior's posted at least 100 yards receiving in two of his last three games. Through eight contests completed, he's tallied 536 yards and six touchdowns. It's not a given, but Thomas could certainly see a bump in his numbers down the stretch if Barrett's able to provide a more consistent level of play in the passing game than the now-dethroned Cardale Jones.

Stanford redshirt senior QB Kevin Hogan completed 17-of-24 passes for 290 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's 31-14 victory over Washington.


He also ran for 37 yards. Once again, it was Hogan's job to get the ball to RB Christian McCaffrey and get out of the way. McCaffrey's receiving accounted for nearly half of Hogan's passing yards. All of which isn't to say that we haven't noticed Hogan's progress this year. His adjusted QBR is up from 69.2 to 86.9, his accuracy is up from 65.9% to 66.7% and his YPA is up from 7.93 to 9.91.

Kentucky HC Mark Stoops indicated that anybody overlooking Mississippi State senior QB Dak Prescott needs to reevaluate.

"How anybody’s not talking about [Prescott] in the Heisman race," said Stoops, "you gotta have your head examined. Because he is a fantastic football player with a lot of poise and a lot of good weapons." Stoops would know, as he was a first-hand witness to Prescott's six-touchdown immolation of Kentucky on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound senior has accounted for 21 total touchdowns through eight games. 14 through the air and seven on the ground. In addition to the scoring, he's thrown for 2,048 yards and rushed for 371.

He's also tossed just one interception during the 2015 campaign, as compared to seven at this point last season.

UCLA redshirt junior RB Paul Perkins is practicing on Tuesday, but with a slight limp.

Perkins left Thursday's game against Cal with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. Jim Mora later described the injury as "not good," so it is a welcome surprise to already see Perkins on the field. Perkins owns a 55.4 percent market share of the school's rushing yardage this season. The Bruins face Colorado next.

Pittsburgh junior WR Tyler Boyd has a big matchup on Thursday night with UNC sophomore CB M.J. Stewart.
Boyd (+11.0 overall grade from PFF this year), coming off a career-high 12 catches against Syracuse last week, is a one-man show on offense for the Panthers and a potential first-rounder. "Two of his best traits are his body control and route-running knowledge," wrote Luke Mueller. "He has above-average speed and quickness for a player his size and can make contested catches look routine." The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Stewart ranks No. 2 in opposing QB rating (12.7) when targeted this year. "Boyd usually relies on speed and quickness to beat press coverage and if Stewart can jam him at the line of scrimmage, he can throw off the timing of the route," Mueller wrote. "Stewart has shown the ability to be a playmaker with five passes defensed to go along with his three interceptions. If he can maintain these top-notch ball skills, he can prevent Boyd from having a major impact." Don't bet on it.

ESPN's Mel Kiper believes Ohio State redshirt junior WR Michael Thomas could be the first wide receiver taken in the 2016 NFL draft.
"No, the numbers won't be huge in this system, but Thomas has size, strong hands, the ability to make the leaping grab, and Saturday we got to see how dangerous he is after the catch -- he accelerates quickly given his size, and he can make pursuit angles look ridiculous," Kiper wrote. "This class doesn't have that top-five look at wide receiver like an Amari Cooper, but is not short on impact." The comment illustrates both Kiper's confidence in Thomas and the wide-open state of affairs with this receiving class. Many have Laquon Treadwell in the top spot. We have Corey Coleman. Kiper appears to be leaning more and more towards Thomas.

Had over 1k rushing as a junior. Doing pretty well as a senior. Right size and agility for the NFL. Burst is just okay. Got his bell rung last weekend on a TD run though. May be out for a bit. Suspect he will get a combine invite and get day 2-3 consideration though.

Michigan State senior QB Connor Cook's +22.3 PFF grade over the past three weeks is the highest in the FBS.

Due to our focus on the draft, we often find ourselves nitpicking Cook because we see his potential and wish he would play up to it more consistently. That's not fair to him as a player, however, and the above stat illustrates just how good he's been playing in October. "Cook can be frustrating at times, because he leaves too many throws on the field," wrote Gordon McGuiness. "He and wide receiver Aaron Burbridge (+18.6) have formed one of the most dangerous duos in all of college football, and it’s propelling the Spartans on their way towards a must-win game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Nov. 21. Now that the offensive line is getting healthy again, this is one of the better offenses in the country."

Updating a recent report, TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline tweeted that he's received "further confirmation" that Arkansas junior TE Hunter Henry will declare for the draft after this season.

Pauline reported earlier this week that Henry had met with a number of agents over the past few weeks. Upon the posting of that column, the analyst's report was corroborated by additional sources. As we mentioned on the previous dispatch, this news isn't surprising. Henry has a Rd. 1 grade right now. Even if that ends up as a Rd. 2 grade, it's in his best interest to cash in his chips this winter.

I like Farrow, he relies mostly on his power and strength not sure if his style translate to the NFL though as he doesn't make people miss (He takes way too many shots).

Pittsburgh junior WR Tyler Boyd recorded 10 catches for 89 yards in Thursday's 26-19 loss to UNC.

Alas, Boyd can't single-handedly beat teams every week. Without another viable offensive weapon, the Panthers simply force the ball into Boyd's hands. While we agree it's their best option, Pitt won't be able to beat good teams unless a second play-maker magically appears (and it might, if the James Conner rehab continues to best estimates).

FSU QB Everett Golson will not play against Syracuse due to lingering concussion symptoms, according to Todd McShay.

Sean Maguire will start in Golson's place. FSU will be without their top two offensive players in Golson and sophomore RB Dalvin Cook, or basically 90 percent of their offense. Syracuse might not be overly talented, but it appears FSU is looking ahead to next week's game against Clemson. This has trap game narrative written all over it.
