[Dynasty] 2016 Draft Class (1 Viewer)

Jaylon Smith still has drop-foot, the longer that remains the higher chance it never recovers.  I really want him to recover and be good to go in a year or less, but it's looking less and less likely.  He went from being a top 5 pick to being MAYBE a 4th rounder.  It's a shame.

ESPN's Steve Muench compares Arizona State WR D.J. Foster to Danny Woodhead of the San Diego Chargers.
After moving from running back to wide receiver last season, the Scouts Inc. team thinks Foster should marry his skills to become "a third-down back with the potential to make a similar impact as Woodhead, who led all NFL running backs in catches (80) and receiving yards (755) last season." Foster has the added benefit of being a bit more athletic, to boot. "Both are above-average route runners with the burst to separate and produce after the catch," Muench wrote. "In addition, defenses have to respect the draw on third-and-medium when they are in the game. While they are not overly powerful, they are tough runners for their size, have good vision and hit the gas as soon as they locate a seam."

Florida WR Demarcus Robinson visited the Jets on Wednesday, according to Manish Mehta.
Mehta warns to "keep an eye on him late." Robinson is a really fun watch on the field. He has all of the skills to separate and the speed to maximize that separation. However, off of the field, Robinson ran into issue after issue with the program, missing multiple games and dropping to the depth chart. A day three, fifth or sixth round selection, makes the most sense.

Oregon QB Vernon Adams told Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle that he has not had a pre-draft visit or private workout with an NFL team during the draft process.
Adams did attend the Rams' local pro day, but that does not count in this scenario. The Oregon quarterback is a favorite of many media evaluators, including us. His tape to start the season was not good, and playing with a broken finger could be the cause. However, once healed, he returned and played at a very high level, both inside the function of the offense and outside of it. Adams shows comfort and quick decision making inside of the pocket, and an ability to improvise outside of it. With all of that said, we do not expect him to be drafted.

The Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson reports that the Seahawks like the "athleticism [and] flexibility" of BYU TE Terenn Houk.

Houk worked out with the Seahawks last week and apparently made a nice impression. During his earlier Pro Day, the 6-foot-4, 229-pounder worked jumps of 32 inches (vertical) and 10-foot-2 (broad) while running the 40-yard dash in 4.84 seconds. He met extensively with the Browns during Pro Day festivities and could come to play as a Day 3 selection in a thin tight end class. Last season, he caught 37 passes for 490 yards and a pair of scores.

Running Back: Love Alex Collins / Hate Derrick Henry

Collins is a powerful back with great vision and quickness.  He is a mid round pick who will develop into a consistent workhorse for the fortunate team who selects him,  Henry totaled almost 400 touches last season.  As a long strider who takes time to build up speed, he will struggle at the next level when he is unable to overpower defenders.

Didn't SportsScience just do a piece where Henry is one of the fastest guys from start?

Auburn WR Ricardo Louis visited the Texans this week, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds Louis is one of the most athletic receivers in this class. Louis' SPARQ score places him in the 87th percentile among NFL receivers. He might be at his best as a vertical receiver, and Auburn fans have brought up the pass catcher's tendency to drop passes on multiple occasions. All signs point to the Texans drafting a speedy receiver.

I thought he was Brandon Jacobs but fatter.

Edit  - Nope,  you're right

This is just lazy af analysis.  "He's big.  He must be slow.  Just write that down."

From the SportsScience Video: "Over the first five yards, in an all out sprint, Henry had the fastest time of any player, in any position, that we've ever tested, in the last three drafts."

Eff Gil Brandt & eff Vasilis Lericos.  Horrible analysis.

UCLA WR/TE Thomas Duarte sees himself as a Jordan Reed-type tight end.
We can already tell you that Duarte has good self-awareness, because we agree with his self-assessment and NFL Media analysts Daniel Jeremiah and Lance Zierlein both compare the 6-foot-2, 231-pounder to Jordan Reed. Duarte earned PFF's No. 1 receiving grade in this TE class last year with 871 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Pro Football Focus' Mike Renner believes Duarte "will be a matchup nightmare" in the NFL if he can transition to tight end full time.

Cosell says RB need to be agile, you have to be tough and you have to be able to get through small cracks.

He think Prosise can be a foundation back and he likes Williams from Arkansas more than Henry. He doesn't mention Booker or anyone else as a foundation RB before they move on to WR.

He thinks Coleman might be like DeSean Jackson and not a WR 1 for a team but a complementary WR.

He mentions a TE from UCLA Thomas Duarte reminding him of Jordan Reed.
