Notre Dame senior QB Jack Coan has an interesting spin on the "game manager" label several have given him.
Coan (6'3/220) is a bit of an underdog heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, largely labeled as a "game manager" by analysts. While that phrase is typically given a negative connotation, Coan sees the positives in it. “I know the term ‘game manager’ has been thrown around but I view that as a positive and is some stuff I actually try to do," Coan told The Draft Network."A game manager is someone who keeps his team in good situations and doesn’t turn the ball over… has a high completion percentage and just makes smart and efficient decisions. I have a chunk-to-check-down mentality on every play and if I like the look a defense is giving me, I’ll check it down and if the shot is there, I’ll take it. That’s how I play and I try to make the right decisions.” Coan completed more than 65% of his passing attempts for 3,150 yards with 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions, further growing as a passer with the Fighting Irish.

Charbonnet didn't declare, going back to school. Thanks for the list though. The way too early 2022 SF rookie rankings. These rankings are based on scrounging the internet and twitter for SF mocks in December and January.
Is this in order? Garrett Wilson at 13?Zyphros said:Here's my rough guess at what my draft board rankings would be (top28), totally incomplete but at least it's a bunch of names. I don't do QB's or TE's so they'll slip in somewhere in there. I let others I trust do that and insert where I feel is market based.

Cincinnati redshirt sophomore RB Jerome Ford declared for the NFL Draft on Monday.
After a fantastic season for the Bearcats, Ford (5'11/215) has declared for the draft. The first-team All-ACC running back announced the decision on his Twitter page this afternoon. This season was a breakout year for the Alabama transfer running for 1,319 yards and 19 touchdowns. He currently ranks 12th on Mel Kiper Jr's running back rankings and has a chance to rise during the process.

Cincinnati junior RB Jerome Ford accepts Senior Bowl invite.
Ford (5'11"/220) had a fantastic season in 2021, scoring 20 total touchdowns and racking up over 1500 yards from scrimmage. Ford declared for the draft a few days ago, and through the Senior Bowl process and game could really see his draft stock rise. Ford's speed is his signature trait that will make him an attractive target come draft time and great testing numbers could see him really rocket up boards.

Top 5 RBs in the class? I can definitely see that. Jerome Ford has a late breakout age, but he was platooned behind other backs at Alabama, then spent a year playing alongside Gerrid Doaks at Cincinnati. Ford flashes all of the elements you look for in a back. I have been steadily moving Ford up my board after an initial low ranking due to his late breakout age. I still believe the trio of Hall/Walker/Spiller ranks a tier ahead of him, but after that, Kyren Williams, Tyler Allgeier and Jerome Ford are all in consideration for the next spot, imo.Podfather and Ray Garvin talking about Jerome Ford in the top five. I agree. He looks that good in his highlights. He's going to pop with size and speed.
I have three picks in the second round of my draft. I would love to take these three.Top 5 RBs in the class? I can definitely see that. BYU sophomore RB Tyler Allgeier will declare for the NFL draft.
No shock here as Allgeier’s (5’11/220) stock couldn’t get much higher. The BYU back is coming off a big performance of 192 rushing yards and three touchdowns against UAB. He finished the season as one of nation’s leading running backs as he was fourth in rushing yards (1,606) and tied for the lead with 23 rushing touchdowns. NFL teams looking to find a three down runner with strength to break through tackles and running through secondaries will be eyeing Allegeier during the scouting process. We should be seeing his names called in late first round or midway through the second.

Must have something to do with Covid and redshirt rules, he'd have 2 years left of eligibility if he wanted them. He's 21 and will turn 22 in April, he's not LDS so he didn't take time for a mission. How is Tyler Allgeier a soph if he played 4 years?
I don't think so.... https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tyler-allgeier-1.htmlMust have something to do with Covid and redshirt rules, he'd have 2 years left of eligibility if he wanted them. He's 21 and will turn 22 in April, he's not LDS so he didn't take time for a mission.
I think you identified most of the likely candidates at RB. Kevin Harris is intriguing (as is his South Carolina teammate, ZaQuandre White). Harris had a down year as he was recovering from back surgery, but he looked good in their Bowl game. Zamir White has the pedigree, but has been troubled with injuries. Abram Smith is a thumper who could find a role. Tyler Badie has speed, excellent hands, and he is coming off a tremendous season. Ealy could emerge in a Nyheim Hines type of role. Knight and Verdell have each shown hints they could succeed in the NFL, but just haven't sustained it.Under the radar targets for someone that's first selection isn't until the end of round 3? I usually prefer RB targets that I can quickly move on from if they don't make any noise. Looking for the 2022 version of Elijah Mitchell or Rhamondre Stevenson.
Don't think I'm getting a whiff at Brian Robinson Jr, Cook, or Rachaad White. Think these are the guys I might get a look at:
Zonovan Knight
Zamir White
Sincere McCormick
Tyler Badie
Dameon Pierce
Hassan Haskins
Jerrion Ealy
Kevin Harris
D'Vonte Price
Keaontay Ingram
Others? Tyler Goodson, CJ Verdell, Jashaun Corbin, Abram Smith, Max Borghi, Kennedy Brooks, Pierre Strong. Based on this not being noted as the greatest RB draft, I assume that I just listed a lot of names with nfl dynasty upside that's going to be very short-lived. Any additions or favorites?
Doubs, Alec Pierce, Khalil Shakir, Justyn Ross, Christian Watson might be interesting pass-catching options if they get there.
