He's a RFA next year and could find his way to a different team. He's got some talent, but quite frankly, he hasn't looked that good since coming into the league 3 years ago. Even though he's probably WW fodder in most dynasty leagues with 24 man or less rosters.

I don't know that he hasn't looked good. His rookie season sure, he couldn't get on the field. But at the end of last year he looked much improved, and had a couple of very nice games in the playoffs. This season has been derailed by injuries and horrid QBing. I wouldn't right him off yet. IIRC Breaston is an UFA so there is a chance Doucet could end up with the #2 job. He's worth a gamble if you have the space I'd think.

Your post was worthless. This is dynasty we're talking about and not every thread needs to be about Jimmy Graham or Aaron Hernandez. Related? It's a hell of a relative to say someone is WW fodder

I'm holding in a couple of leagues. Not sure if he'll ever pan out but I've seen flashes of a nice receiver.

I think he should be rostered in deep dynasty leagues. He has talent and in the right situation, he can be a productive WR. We saw it late last season. Now, if he finds himself stuck as a #3 in Arizona, without an improved QB situation at the start of next season, I would consider dropping him.

Here is what I see going on in Arizona. The team needs help everywhere but wr and rb (some may even argue rb lol, but there is talent and depth there). At WR they are 5 deep when you add Roberts and Williams to the mix. IMO this means either Doucet RFA or Breaston UFA goes somewhere else. IMO that player is Doucet.

When I look at the NFL I see 4 great situations open for a WR to take. SD and StL both need WR's (very good to great QB situations), Baltimore and Atlanta both need #2 WR's next year (very good QB situations).

Some of these spots may be filled by the very talented WR group coming out in the 2011 draft, but I think Doucet should be rostered at least until we know his situation for next yr.

Definitely worth a stash in a deep dynasty league, IMO. He looked pretty good the end of last year (like a "Baby Boldin") and this year has had trouble with injury and QB play (as everyone has noted). He appears to have the talent, which tells me he's worth a hold if you have the space.

You must have missed the playoff game against the Packers last year. I don't mind if people don't think he's very good, but "haven't seen a thing" is flat out incorrect. He has shown flashes of talent, whether or not he puts it altogether is a different story.

Didn't Fitz hit some escalators in his contract that allow him to be a UFA? Doucet might trip into a starting job if so.

Doucet has the talent to play....BUT two things are certainly in question as of now

1) QB...or lack of it in Arizona. It won't get better this year and who knows about next year

2) Injuries - Doucet has had several minor injuries - will that continue?

Stashing him to me is a question of roster space - I don't think he is playable this year (even in best ball leagues there are probably more valuable players) so you are betting on both questions to be resolved favorably in holding him for 2011 or beyond

Fitz has a "no franchise tag clause" in his contract, and Cecil Lammey reported recently that Fitz its growing quite frustrated w/ AZ and wants out to go to Minny. If Fitz and/or Breaston leave, that leaves a lot of opportunity for a young guy like Doucet.

The talent is there to do something, and the opportunity to become a starter could be on the horizon, but its a question whether or not he can get onto the field and consistently perform.

I think in deep leagues, he's a stash for now.

Chicago would welcome a tough WR that would go over the middle and go get a ball.

Stash to see what happens to Breaston this offseason. Even if Breaston's gone, I believe Stephen Williams or Andre Roberts would move outside (leaving Early in the slot). JMO Stephen Williams is a better stash than Early.

I don't see Fitz going anywhere soon. Cards will make QB a priority this offseason
