Not necessarily if you are thinking long term at QB.Tebow is more valuable now. Trade him and get something. Keep Mallett and hope NE trades him after developing him, or he starts in a couple years. I think Mallett can be a more productive NFL QB.'jonboltz said:Tebow by a mile.

And from the title and rest of the OP "In a Non PPR keeper league and have to keep one" he is clearly speaking about fantasy value. From the OP...This is not the same question I was answering. Not necessarily if you are thinking long term at QB.Tebow is more valuable now. Depends I guess if you play in a league that allows a roster spot for wildcat QBThis is not the same question I was answering. Not necessarily if you are thinking long term at QB.Tebow is more valuable now. And my answer to that is the same. He might, but nobody knows that at this point. His upside is nowhere near Tebow's upside, and that is what you are looking for when picking up a flyer at QB in a Dynasty--if you don't like Tebow, then try for Josh Johnson instead. You can essentially have 1-2 years to find out how good Tebow is, and if he is awful, you can trade a 3rd round draft pick for Mallett (or grab him off the WW), who will still be on the bench. And my answer to that is the same. He will outscore, for his career, Tebow.
I would disagree with this. A QB's upside is not determined by his running ability or athletic skills. Guys like Manning and Brady have had some of the greatest QB FF seasons in history and neither is a threat to run the ball. They make a living with their arms.He might, but nobody knows that at this point. Agreed, I don't know what upside Tebow has over Mallett. Mallett has the upside of being an elite QB IMO. Sure, it's a long shot. The physical tools are there though and he just needs to get his head on right or be developed. Physically, Mallett may have been the best QB in this years class. He easily has the best arm.I would disagree with this. A QB's upside is not determined by his running ability or athletic skills. But his fantasy upside is determined by his running ability. Do I ever envision Tebow being an elite NFL QB? No, I think that is doubtful. But all he has to be is a mediocre starting NFL QB and he will produce QB1 fantasy stats with his legs.Certainly Manning, Brady, and other elite QBs will put together great FF seasons. If you want to project Mallett to be a elite QB at this point, be my guest, but I think there are a lot better options that won't have you waiting 2-4 years to find out.I would disagree with this. I think the chances of Mallett being an elite QB that puts up QB1 fantasty stats is significantly less likely than Tebow becoming a mediocre QB putting up QB1 numbers with his ability to add fantasy stats with his legs. The margin for error is significantly in Tebow's favor.Agreed, I don't know what upside Tebow has over Mallett. Mallett has the upside of being an elite QB IMO. Sure, it's a long shot. I disagree. Tebow looks like a career backup to me. That's certainly up to you to decide, but I wouldn't discount the fact that Tebow outplayed Mallett's preseson in the preseason last year, in the regular season last year, and in the preseason this year...I disagree. Is leftwich considered a successful NFL qb? That's who Ryan "slow long delivery" mallet resembles.Mallett. I think his game more closely resembles successful NFL QBs. He's mistake-prone, but a prolific passer with all of the tools to be productive in that role.
