The Bears WRs moves only make sense if you consider the 3rd thru 5th WR have dirt on someoneI think McBride & Gentry started, no catches for both.

He is a good WR. It's just that teams haven't figured it out yet. They are too busy signing 'never were's' like Justin Hunter and Kenny Britt and one trick pony's like Torrey Smith.Fwiw I thought McBride looked pretty good against the Saints. He was open on each of his catches and Trubinsky just didn't seem to see him on a couple others where he was open. McBride could be a lead WR on this Bears team though I'm not sure that's worth anything.
This could be literally true for Trubisky this year. For FF you're asking for something that won't happen. You can look at any of his QBs and they throw for 1-200 per week. That's not enough to give ya any confidence for a WR in FF.
I really like himLoggains is terrible and always has been. His only good WR was the one year Kendall made 100 4 yard passes into more yardage.

Tre could be picked up for dynasty now, for next year when they have a new staff. He sorely needs experience and this could be real good for him. They'll probably draft a WR and who knows with Kevin White made of glass. If McBride can establish himself, maybe he can be 2 or 3 behind the drafted guy next year.
He only got cut from the Titans due to #s not anything negative. They went from having nothing to being pretty stacked at WR. He's a good gunner on ST and a good guy off the field. He shouldn't have any issues meshing with a new coaching staff next year. He's gotta establish himself this year though
Pretty sure McBride was a Waldman favorite as well.I recall Bri (Titans homer) had some good things in the past to say about McBride. Maybe he finally gets his chance - not like anyone else seems to be able to catch the ball among the WR corps and Zach Miller is done. Inman is a nice player, but I don't have high hopes for him coming in.
Wouldn't that affect Gentry more than McBride? Gentry's been on the field so much as the blocking WR.Inman will get more time now.
Likely, but should still affect McBride IMO. Inman SHOULD be the man going forward.Wouldn't that affect Gentry more than McBride? Gentry's been on the field so much as the blocking WR.
Here's the Waldman article you referenced: http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/article.php?article=thegutcheck427So ... all quiet on the western front in here. McBride had arguably his best game as a pro, and while it's easy to say it came in a blowout, it really didn't. His 45 yard reception happened in the first quarter and his 25 yard catch happened in the 2nd. NO was up 7-3 for his first catch and 14-3 for his second.
No one seems to want the guy in either one of my dynasty leagues, while I'm content to stick him at the end of my bench and see what happens. Trubisky (in theory) should be allowed to throw more. Zach Miller is gone. Someone has to catch passes, especially when the Bears fall behind. Why not McBride?
Also - I know he was the subject of Waldman's gut check last week. Perhaps that was a negative take, though Waldman has always liked McBride so I'd be surprised. I'm not a subscriber, so I haven't read it. Either way, what are some thoughts on him?
I guess I've never been that impressed with Inman. I don't understand why we should expect him to be better after 10 days on the team than the guy who's been there since week 1, and who is already making plays, and is tremendously gifted physically.Likely, but should still affect McBride IMO. Inman SHOULD be the man going forward.
Inman is 4 years older than McBride and failed to shine when both Allen and Benjamin got hurt last year. He's a perfectly capable NFL WR5 who can fill in when the team is in a pinch, but that's kind of the definition of a JAG. He's not a scrub and not a star. Roster clogger maybe? If rostered...I guess I've never been that impressed with Inman. Waldman came off the McBride train if you watch the FBG videos on youtube, it's been a few years and IIRC he only had one catch in TENHere's the Waldman article you referenced: http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/article.php?article=thegutcheck427
His measurables are great: https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/tre-mcbride/
Matt Harmon's rookie take: http://www.thebackyardbanter.com/2015-nfl-draft-wide-receiver-rankings.html
To summarize the Waldman article for you, he's a great lottery ticket. His college production was impressive and he's physically gifted.
For me, from a dynasty standpoint, McBride>>>Inman.
I don't watch the videos so that's good to know. His gut check was pretty positive/optimistic. But at the same time he did say there is a wide range of possible outcomes here. At this point of the season, I think McBride is a good back of the roster candidate. Could be this year's Meredith.Waldman came off the McBride train if you watch the FBG videos on youtube, it's been a few years and IIRC he only had one catch in TEN
Hard to imagine any coach uttering that sentence in any context who doesn't already know he's gone and couldn't care less.McBride did well and then eh. He was starting and then cut. Third time the Bears cut a starting WR this season. Yep that makes no sense.
McBride got into an argument with someone and maybe a fight.
Gotta love Fox's honesty here
"Just kind of churning the roster," Fox said Wednesday. "We have a roster spot available. We don't know exactly what we're doing. We have some options."
I’ll always root for the underdog. Suppose I could have just posted in TC thread but this is more fun. When I saw this thread bumped I just had to click on it...
According to The Athletic's Connor Hughes, "you'd be hard-pressed to find a player turning more heads" in Jets camp than WR Tre McBride.
A favorite of some in the draft community when he came out of William & Mary in 2015, McBride has bounced around over the last year or so, signing a futures deal with the Jets over the winter. But McBride has reportedly been showing out at practice ever since OTAs and is now working with the first-team offense in place of Quincy Enunwa, who has a thumb injury. McBride is competing with Chad Hansen and ArDarius Stewart for one or two remaining spots at receiver.

Done.@Don Quixote - I am requesting a thread title update to reflect that Tre McBride is now with the Jets
