Eagles vs Giants - Week 6 TNF (2 Viewers)

They were saying that about Shady McCoy before Barkley. Shady at least runs more like him where Barkley seems more to use his power but has Barry's balance.
Ok, this is fun convo. IMO, Barkley is the first guy who really comps to Barry. Shady had the sharpest cuts but he lacks the level of smooth Barry had. SB has it and the massive base is the key. Shady is slim. Barry, while smaller than SB, has something major in common: tree trunk lower body.

:lmao: Eli Apple.  Been burned like 4 times on the last two drives alone, then talks #### after finally breaking up one pass in a game they're losing by 3 scores.

My best comp for Barkley is 3/4 Barry + Ricky Williams + David Johnson.

He has 75% of Barry's open field elusiveness and mental strength, with the Ricky build and the David Johnson pass catching skills. Sky is the limit here.

The other night I was watching the 4th quarter from that Colts comeback against the Buccs on MNF ‘03. Man, did I forget how entertaining that this product used to be. Made me sad..

A good QB and some OL tweaks and this offense could be the elite. SB, OBJ, Shep, Engram. That is one of the best young 4-somes around,

Oh yeah, that was such a good game. I remember where I was watching that. I think it is unfair comparing a random Th night game to one of the best NFL games of the century.

How do you punt there?  I know it's 4th and 17 but seriously?  ####### just throw in the towel and walk off the field instead.

Well, absolutely, but not just the game but the whole production of the broadcast. Especially compared to the MNF that ESPN is queefing out this year.

that Giants player is gonna get reamed in film review for running away from the returner...could have jumped on that muffed punt but no one else was around

This seems overstated.
I don't think so. A QB in the top 15 and another OL in the 2nd or 3rd and that offense should be in business, assuming the locker room doesn't completely fall apart and self-immolate by then

Is it? You won't argue OBJ is one of the best WRs in the NFL and in his prime? Barkley is a rookie and looks like a top 5 RB, right? Shep isn't special but he is a good slot WR? Engram was a rare 1st round TE and has high end athletic measurables for the position Can you name a team with 4 skill players under 26 who are better?

Yup but they need to build up the defense as well.

The Giants will eat a bunch of clock with no urgency, and even if they score they'll kick the extra point instead of going for two and then kickoff.

Don't really get the point of running the ball here even more.  Why risk Barkley getting hurt or worn out in a game down 21 with 8min left?

Way more important to harness the offensive talent they've got and get a young QB and OL in there imo, then work on the defense. No sense being mediocre all around, build the side of the ball that's closest and most important imo

Because he's the only player wearing white who's actually gained any yards tonight.

Yeah I guess the point that I was trying to make is that they're still far from being a good team.  Having a few skill players is nice but not when you have nothing else.

They're dinking and dunking down the field, running up the gut and not hurrying up. This team has no intention of trying to win
