Why were they allowing people to go there to treat infected people and then return home? This seems like basic Outbreak Rules 101.

Because it is relatively easy to prevent infection with proper procedures and it is hard to pass because you have to get their bodily fluids in your system somehow for it to infect you. It isn't airborne.

Luckily doctors don't touch people when they treat them and there are zero cases of care takers being infected and trying to come back to the US.

Nope but they certainly could if we just bring our resources and manpower over there....

I personally am not worried about it and I live in Atlanta... Make you a deal though, if it spreads and I'm vomiting up vital organs, feel free to say I told you so.

Do we know this is where they are bringing them?.......I would imagine they are going to sneak them into an unmentioned location....IE; just some hospital somewhere...Hell they can't even keep staff infections out of hospitals.

Nothing is airborne/contagious.... until it is.

That said I have no problem with bringing in these citizens under direction of the CDC for treatment and study stateside. My guess is they're handing this like it is already airborne and/or more contagious than it actually is.

Yeah nothing could go wrong here.....This is one of the most stupid things the US has ever done.........Instead of putting measures in place to keep it over there and fight it...We bring it to us....Good job to whoever came up with this lamebrain idea....Try and save 2 and potentially expose 360 million in the process.

It's not about saving two, it's about inspecting/testing/examining two. Would you prefer to stick your head in the sand and cross your fingers, or would you rather work towards understanding the virus?

Well we already understand it hasn't been contained and that it kills the majority that contract it, violently and quickly....So you all are convinced that there is no better way to fight this but to bring it on our soil.
