Got my V4L XL manual battery last night and the WOW Cafe Mocha cartos.

I also noticed no drop-off in production mixing parts. They are truly compatible. The one weird thing is trying to charge the V4L XL battery on my Bloog charger. It seems to be working, but I'm not 100% sure. The instructions for the V4L battery say the LED tip turns off while it's charging. This does happen, but every 10 seconds or so, the LED tip flashes 15 times while it's on the charger. While this happens, the indicator light on the charger goes from red (charging) to green (fully charged.) As soon as the blinking stops, the light turns back to red again. Then 10 seconds later, the same thing. I had to leave for work with the battery on the charger, so we'll see how this all plays out at lunch time.

I dont think its charging properly...when you connect it to a charger, the LED on the battery should flash 3 times, then turn off. On the V4L wall charger, the light on the charger turns RED when charging, and GREEN when charged. On the USB charger, the charger light is red with a blue blink every 10 seconds or so while charging, then solid Blue when charged.But you need to see the battery LED flash 3 times to know youve got a good charge connection. Also, be sure to STOP screwing the battery in when the LED flashes...you dont need to go any tighter.

ETA: Sometimes I have to screw the battery in 2 or 3 times before the battery LED will flash..Ive found that turning the battery backwards very lightly until I feel the "click", then screwing it on the charger seems to help get the connection right on the first try. This is a good practice with anything with soft threads, as it avoids accidental cross-threading.

I suspect the same, but I started vaping with it at 1:45, so I'll see how long it runs before it goes ####-up and then plug it back in and see what happens.

Review of the Tobacco sampler from V4L - All cool carts 4mgRY4 - Good VH and a mild TH. It tastes ok, nothing special. Pass555 - Low VH and almost no TH. It tastes old to me. Like that pack of smokes with only a couple left i kept in the truck for emergencies. Pass

Im a fan of the RY4 myself..enough to order 30ml of the 24mg juice.. maybe the nicotine flavor compliments the RY4 flavor...IDK,,,but Im about halfway through the 30ml bottle and I dig it.and at "555- Like that pack of smokes with only a couple left i kept in the truck for emergencies"Ive never tried the 555, but I know EXACTLY what youre talking about here.

Yeah, not sweet at all, but people add sugar cubes or cream for their tastes. It's basically American coffee, without water (slight exaggeration). Bitter coffee bean taste.

LOL... expresso, freshly brewed actually does have something of a burnt coffee taste. No wonder it goes so good with Zambucca! I was not happy with the V4L coffee sampler, but I was like, OK I got these things... might as well vape 'em. The more I vaped'em the more I warmed up to them. They won't be in my everyday line up, but useful off the bench to do some pinch hitting.

I find I like the mocha and frappacino flavors across the board. I need to try more chocolate flavors. After going heavy on the mocha cafe, I found new life in my 555 tobacco flavor. It seems I really like switching back and forth between very different flavors.

This Buzz... fellas, I'm tellin ya... it is kick ###.

Do the V4L work on the Blooger deal? I tried the 6mg Reds and was pretty impressed with how close it is to a regular smoke. I just put a 11mg one on and it doesn't work so I tried a different 11mg and it worked fine. So I guess some can be defective?

Last but not least, is the Reds the closest to a M-Light?

New flavs from V4L:

Freebie Irish Cream: smells and tastes of alchohol, far more than a Bailey's Irish Cream does. So far, not a fan.

Classic caramel mocha frapp: Very nice. Smooth flavor. I seem to love anything that is called mocha in the name. Very tasty. Has a sort of lighter coffee-ish flavor. Will be a regular.

Milk chocolate macadamia: I really like this one too. Not over the top flavor, but a nice mellow vape. The milk choc flavor comes through.

Vanilla mocha frapp: Might be my #2 after mocha cafe. I love this mocha stuff.

I have a few more to try. I am SET for juice now, that's for sure. I have about 150ml's of juice and about 40 preloaded cartos. I couldn't even justify another order, even if it is 35% off.

Two weeks today. Yeah boy.

Look above at my post to EG. Some catridges need to have the center post lifted. Some of them don't make electrical contact, easy fix. The V4L cartos will work on a Bloog batt, the Bloog cartos will work on a V4L batt. Not a PROBLEM. hAVEN'T TRIED bLOOG'S RED, BUT i'M PRETTY MUCH OFF THE TOBACCO FLAVORS NOW, MUCH TO ME SURPRISE. Caps lock, sorry. Too lazy to retype it.

Package came in 2 days which was awesome as I've been jonesin' to quit the analogs since I came into this thread hearing all the success stories. I used the FBG coupon code when I purchased and to my surprise they threw in 6 sample cartos. It seemed most were getting 3 from what I remember. The samples they sent were pina colada, banana choco, sour green apple, parliment & 2 cartos of peppermint ice cream. I haven't had an analog since I cracked the package open....nor have I had the desire to have one. I'm trying to convince my wife to give it a go. Just now getting into a groove with how much I toke and what not. Quick review on my first impressions.

Nuport-Definite menthol flavor with a bit of sweet mixed in. Extremely close to a newport analog for sure. The throat hit is above average with average vapor. Will definitly consider as a daily vape, but really lovin' the non-tobacco flavors right now so who knows. 7.5/10

Sour Green Apple-Probably my favorite one so far. The taste is true and strong. Throat hit is a there with good vapor on exhale. The taste does it for me especially exhaling through the nose like others have said. The taste lingers after vaping longer than others IMO. 8/10

Pina Colada-Solid taste and vapor. Below average throat hit. I like it, I just don't love it. 6/10

Peppermint Ice Cream-Tastes exactly like the Nuport to me.

And I never mentioned this, but having my passthrough in my car is awesome. Well worth the $9 for the adapter. I never use my batteries when I'm driving, the passthru does all the work. And of course blasting away in the car is a must. Lol

Hey, YW. These things are amazing, aren't they? And big tobacco loses another one. Gadabout, the cafe mocha remains my favotite. I also like the milk choc macadamia. Vanilla mocha frapp and classic caramel mocha frapp are good too.

I hardly touch my tobacco flavors anymore. And the PT for the car? Yup... I use my auto PT when I'm driving so I don't have to look for the button.

I also have to mention this again... if you arte looking for a VV mod (variable voltage PV) this Buzz from NotCigs is the one to get. At some point I want to get their Infinity VV mod too. It's about the smallest VV mod there is, and pretty nice looking. The Buzz is a big beefy mod, but so solidly built it's the choice for anyone who works anywhere if it isn't behind a desk. One mega 808 carto from Ikenvape and a Buzz will get you through all day at work, even if you vape pretty heavilly.

The Bloog cartos work on the V4L batteries, I've been using that combo for the last day or so. I do notice that every once in a while, I'll put a carto on the battery and get nothing, then I unscrew and re-attach it or hold down the manual button for 10 seconds or so, and suddenly it will start working. The Bloog autos are way more reliable than the V4L XL in my limited experience, but the V4L XL battery not only hits like a champs, but I'm going on 11 1/2 hours on a single charge now and it's shown no signs of slowing down. I really like the XL manual.

So my Tasty Vapor Waffle juice came today

I know this is a juice that needs to steep for a while, but I of course HAD to try it straight out of the mailbox.

Dark brown color...not a lot of aroma to this one just yet...smells a little like carmelized sugar and not much else.

First hit in a WOW carto: Woah Nelly, maybe I should have ordered the 18mg instead of 24mg...my throat was just assaulted! Insane throat hit, nice amount of vapor...not a HUGE cloud, but I ordered 20% VG so the flavor would be more intense...Ill take the trade off. Its not a small amount of vapor by any means, its just not a ridiculous plume, which is fine, because I can FEEL this stuff, and on exhale it looks like a normal full flavor analog hit. Perfect balance of TH and VP, IMO.

Taste: Im definitely getting some Waffle-y goodness, with a nice sweetness underneath, along with some slight toastiness maybe?? Not overly sweet, which is a good thing. Im not really getting the whole Waffle/butter/syrup combo experience, but I think after a week of steeping it should come to life. That being said, its delicious already, instantly one of my favorites of the juices Ive tried.

After 3 or 4 hits, the TH has mellowed out. I had only taken a few hits of 18mg today from one of my Autos, so I wasnt really ready for a 24mg blast from my Manual PV...the first couple of hits actually left a tingling/burning sensation in my nose for a minute, but in a good way.

I started this post about 10 minutes ago, and with each hit Im liking it more and more. Theres now a slight bit of caramel/vanilla in there, along with a toasted Waffle taste. The carto has warmed up and I think thats helping some of the flavors come through.

Overall first impression, without it having a chance to steep yet: WOW. This is outstanding. One of most flavorful juices, if not THE most flavorful, that Ive tried yet. Even if the taste doesnt change after steeping, which I know it will, Im definitely going to re-order some of this, its really good.

Big thumbs up to Tasty Vapor for this juice. Its gonna be near impossible to set this one aside and let it steep. I think Im just gonna have to keep vaping it, and discover the taste changes along the way.

Finally died after 18 hours of use. Nice ! Hopefully it continues to be this strong.

I pulled a cart off of my auto that I had been using all day, and put it on the manual. Now I'm used to a crackle or a pop, but this thing sounded like bacon sizzling(hmmm...that would be a good flavor). That sizzle seemed to calm a bit after that but the cart may be getting low now.

As far as battery length, I thought that I was using XL autos from the start(I thought I ordered an Ultimate XL starter kit). With cartomizer, they are the length of an analog 100. However these manual XLs are about the length of an ink pen when the cart is on. There is almost exactly one inch in difference. I must have ordered wrong the first time. That also explains why these manual batteries seem so much stronger.

I like that sizzling sound... but apparently as you refill these cartos, the atomizer starts to get gunked up, and the sizzle stops. Sure sounds like you did not get the XL autos, my XL autos and manuals are close, the manual being about 1/4" longer. I tried the syringe refilling method. Big time improvement over the condom method. Less wasting of juice, and the cartos seem to hold more too. All in all, less trouble too, just easier to do. I think I need a tackle box now.

I watched a youtube video on the condom method and it seems pretty easy but would like to hear from those with experience on the pros and cons of the different methods. If you have the juice to spare, you should really let that Backwoods stuff steep for a while. I'm hitting my four flavors once a week and I'm noticing a serious jump in overall production each time. Got 90ml of other juice in last night and I won't touch any of the BWB stuff until that's gone. Well maybe I'll test some of them out on my new 306 LR atomizers and drip tip...

I really don't find much juice wastage in the condom method as long as you don't pour too much in the rubber cap. Does the syringe method get a better all around filling?

I got my package in from V4L. Was so excited BUT they substituted Caramel for my Mocha Caramel 30ml. That was going to be my saving grace because I love it! I don't know if I should try it or send it back. Being a light smoker I think I'm all set until the summer. I've got 5 5mls of juice along with 5 packs of cartos. I'm digging it! I'll review the cartos once I've had a chance to try them all. It's going to take a while! I took a drag off of each of them right away. Verdict is still out but I think I'm going to like them all. Even the 0 chocolate turtle which I ordered for my g/f. It tastes like peanut butter cup to me which she doesn't like so I don't think she'll like it. But it's nice to know that it is satisfying even at the zero dose of nicotine. I'm vaping a Cappucino 18 right now. It's good but doesn't pack the wallop of the caramel mocha I'm afraid.

I should be getting my juice tommorrow from backwoods brew. That said, what is the best way to fill these bad boys. Should I be doing the condom fill or something else? I watched a youtube video on the condom method and it seems pretty easy but would like to hear from those with experience on the pros and cons of the different methods. If it's already been discussed I couldn't find it. TIA!

Actually, I just mentioned this...LOL. Condom method works but it's sloppy and wastes juice. I just got some syringes, and I can get more juice in the cartos and there isn't the waste or mess. Seems like the way to go.

I really don't find much juice wastage in the condom method as long as you don't pour too much in the rubber cap. Does the syringe method get a better all around filling?

Yes, I can get more juice into the carto with a syringe, number one. Using the condom method I found a half condom was the limit before it started coming out of the battery end. I can fill a condom at 3/4's full, suck it into the syringe, and all of that goes into the carto with zero leakage. Using the condom method, I had to wipe off the carto, and there were always some drops left in it. That was wasted juice. With the syringe, I don't even need a tissue to wipe anything off. It's a clean fill. I am a stubborn sort. I needed to buy a 901 to 808 adapter. It costs 99 cents. The shipping was 3 bucks. I'm like... OK, what else can I buy here to at least make the shipping cost worthwhile? I bought 3 adapters and 3 #18 syringes. Never would have even tried the syringe method otherwise. Eventually, I decide to try the syringe. Yes, a better, more efficient, easier system for refilling. The condom method sometimes sucked the white cap off the carto, and I had to get it back out of the bottom of the condom. Now, part of the process is to remove the cap in the first place. It pops right out. it takes less time, which surprised me too. I have blunt tip syringes. You can't stick yourself unless you: are very drunk: or want to. So, IMO, the syringe method is a better way to go, hands down.

So Ive been vaping my Waffle juice all day today...I think I must have vaped about 3ml of it...I cant put it down. So far it tastes more like a sweet Waffle batter than actual Waffles. Im getting no butter and even less syrup flavor...Im starting to wonder if this is what its supposed to taste like? Either way, it IS delicious, and Im gonna TRY to let it steep for a bit, trying it every couple days to see how it changes.

Also, after a couple of days with my XL Manual, I gotta say...and I know Im in the minority here...but I dont like it as much as my Auto batteries. The Manual isnt as consistent or reliable as my autos. Sometimes Ill be trying to take a MONSTER hit and it will cut off before Im done. I cant stand that. With my autos, I can draw for 10 seconds if I want and get a lung-busting hit that will give any hit Ive taken with my manual a run for its money. Seriously. Also, I guess Im not really a fan of having to push a button - it limits the way I can hold it when taking a hit. On top of that, when taking a hit, it feels way too airy, I like a little more resistance on the draw. Maybe I just got lucky and got some autos that for some reason are better than normal, or maybe my Manual is just not one of the best of its batch, but my autos are just plain better. I really wanted to like the manual more than the autos, I really did, but it just didnt happen, and now its sitting in a drawer as a backup. Its nice knowing its there if something happens to one of my other batteries though

Got my 18mg Cafe Mocha in the other day. Good stuff. Not my favorite (That's the 24mg DK Tobacco from BlueMist that tastes peanut butter-y), but it's a good juice that I can hit all day.

re: Wingnut's post- it's funny because I got 2 auto batteries on my first order from V4L. One of them is very airy, while the other has more resistance, and the airy one didn't start out that way. I wonder if it's beginning to fail?

I also got a portable charging case. Not sure if I like it yet or not. I do know that the usb cord is wayyyyyy to short.

Wingnut, your manual batt should not be cutting out. There is more air on the draw with my manuals, but in my case the hit is way more solid, packs much more punch. I have to hit my auto with at least two primer vapes to get it good and fired up. Niether can compare to the Buzz however. It's in a league of it's own, even better than the PT. I need to get some higher resistance cartos for it. Especially the WOW cartos get too hot. The cool carts work better. Still waiting on Ikenvape to get those 808 mega cartos back in stock.

Tecumsah, the cord on the USB charger should be longer too. In any case, I don't think I will ever need a PCC as long as I have this Buzz.

Might have been a good idea to get some 18 and 24mg stuff too. I started with 8mg and it did nothing at all for me. I had also ordered some 18mg, and quickly ordered some 24. I vape 24 and 36 now, but I was near 3 packs a day. Let us know how it goes... did you try it yet? The batteries usually come with about an 80% charge.

No real talk on any health issues. Just pretty much everybody seems to agree that it's 1,000x better than smoking real cigs.Someone did inform us that nicotine was bad for you though.

The return of the HULK! Let me be the first to say thanks for starting this thread. Because of you, I am a non-smoker. From 2 1/2 to 3 packs a day to zero overnight 16 days ago. They seem pretty safe, a whole lot safer than cigarettes for certain. Only a few small studies have been funded to look into them, but the FDA's knee jerk reaction was to try to ban them. A federal judge shot them down, saying they are a tobacco product, not a smoking cessation product, the FDA has no authority over it. Three ingredients: nicotine, flavoring and glycerin. I copied some stuff from Wiki in post 724 on glycerin. They use it in foods and skin and hair care products, amoung other things. No apparent risk of cancer or emphazema. No cyanide, tar, carbon monoxide, etc etc, not to list the 3,948 toxins found in cigarettes. I used to cough so bad I gagged and even occassionally puked in the morning, and I am not coughing at all now. I used to blow my nose ten times in the morning, now just once. Food tastes better already. These things are so good I can drink coffee or have a cocktail and still not smoke.Some people talk about side effects, but the only one I have is dehydration, and everyone gets that. You just have to drink more water. That's it in a nutshell.

Yes, that may have been a mistake. I feel like I could use a little bigger hit and may at least order up some 16s. But all in all I'm doing ok for somebody who hasn't had a cig in 10 hours. If I can just get my nicotine jones on, then the other advantages (particularly the lack of odor) will make this a godsend. I've been vaping inside (forbidden) or in my wife's car (forbidden) all day and nobody has known.

Yes, the discussion surpassed my level of understanding many, many pages ago. But thanks for starting it. Somebody should compile a list of all the FBGs who have made the switch.Have any of you who started much earlier backslid?

Technically you are still a smoker, and even a tobacco smoker if the judge said it's a tobacco product. Nicotine comes from tobacco so that would makes sense. It's better than being a crack smoker lol, although just as addictive. I hope these things aren't too harmful, since my son in college is smoking these electronic cigarettes. There are certainly worse things he could be doing, and he may be, but he's my kid so I worry, especially since his grandpa's death was directly related to tobacco products.
