Electronic Cigarettes (8 Viewers)

Well I was getting a little jealous of you guys actually having a "tobacco free" date. Not any more, my wife and I both put the cigarettes completely away on March 1st. For my wife that was her first time quitting since she was 13 years old(46 now). We now have our date and we are on our sixth day tobacco free. I wish I had gone the route some of you other guys did and just went straight vapor as soon as I got my starter kit. I was keeping my first thing in the morning and last thing before bed cigarettes as a crutch. Those ended up being like a prize to crave and look forward to. The vaping for me is not better than a cigarette, but it does make quitting tolerable. I still "want" a cigarette but I think I can make this work. I don't believe I can get the nicotine amounts from vaping unless I go hit it every 20 minutes or so. I have some very high nicotine level juice on the way(36mg) to see if this makes the cravings ease a bit for longer periods. It does seem to be getting a little easier, but I want some strong stuff for my triggers(after meals, first waking up). I think I still haven't hit my perfect flavor/strength combo yet. On a side note, we got in some 555 carts from Bloog a while back and we finally just had to throw them out. They stunk up about half of my house just from opening the box that contained the sealed cartomizer packets! That stuff almost made us all throw up. I cant imagine anyone having these in their house. Like rotting peanuts but 100 times the smell. Really wierd because no other flavor has had any smell to speak of.
Like you, I could never say I wasn't getting urges, sometimes strong ones for a cigarette. I ended up vaping mostly 36mg stuff, and that held the urges in check pretty well, although not completely, especially if I am enjoying a brew, something I probably do too often. Getting the Buzz mod also helped me a lot. Tons more vapor, flavor and TH. Thursday will be the 4 week mark for me, and the other 210'ers here. The urges are fewer and less severe with each new week. It gets easier. In fact, it gets a lot easier. I think the key is to get what works for you. For me that is a mod like the Buzz, 36mg juice and mocha 'anything' flavors. I also like the V4L Dunhall sometimes. I do not like any of the other flavors as every day vapes yet, but still have a few more on hand to try. Cola sucked. So far so do the fruit flavors for me, along with the pina coladas and all that stuff. I have a bunch of stuff I will likely never use, like the cola. Congrats on getting a week under your belt. It does get easier. Remember that. I can smell things now I never smelled before. That has upside and downside! LOL. I almost never cough and I used to hack away to the point of gagging, choking and even occassuibally puking. That's what 3 packs a day for decades will do for you. Stick with it, you and your wife are doing GREAT! And it does get EASIER!
Thanks Rovers, I'm still fully on board with the vaping. I made some mistakes early on but feel I'm on track now. I tried to drop down in nicotine level right off the bat to 11mg and that was a huge mistake IMO. Until I get some 36mg in I'm getting by on some 16mg Red that I have. Just ordered more carts from Bloog and V4L(23% off right now) and all of it is 24-36mg. And I've finally got some of the Mocha, Coffee, Vanilla flavors coming that I'm pretty excited to try. V4L appears to be running very low on cart and juice selections in the 16-24mg categories, so I ended up getting more 36s than I planned, but that may be fine anyway. Bloog doesn't have anything higher than 24. I've got some blanks on the way too, and need to look at some of the juice suppliers. Filling the carts was a breeze so I need to experiment a little more with other juices.

 FWIW I did both for the first 3 days and had a similar experience. I was a bit disheartened that I was getting TH/nic reward from the few cigs I was still having. But I had an epiphony when Hilton 18 gave me much stronger TH of the 18 mg tobacco sampler. Tried a cig shortly after using the Hilton and felt zippo on the inhale, no satisfaction or nic reward to speak of. After that the thought of a cigarette was pointless and haven't had or wanted another since. I ended up moving on to better flavors, and even bought some 24s for added security. You're definitely doing the right thing getting a strong urge fixer. I'd think 36 mg will fill any void you could possibly have. I went to 24's in the morning/evening, but after a week found I really didn't want or need that strength; it was overcompensating. It was probably more mental aspect of having that extra oomph available at any time, for me anyway. Ended up getting into a good rhythm with 18s. Personally I wouldn't feel too bad taking a vape every 20 minutes out of the gates, not yet having a flavor or stength that works for you. Once you do, I'd expect you, too, to get into a better rhythm with it.

Wow, someone finally made the list! Nice job, you can add my GF to the list, she jumped on board and has been analog free for almost a month.

45 FBG on that list. Amazing.

I was just napping and during that nap I had a dream where I asked some dude at my work (during a work meeting) id he was blasting away on an e-cig.

When he turned to me so I could see him clearly, he was just chewing on a Bic pen. With a stuffed banana hanging off the end.

Also, I had never seen this man before at my work.

Cheers!

Sort of funny story... was driving with the wife today and she told me about some church her sister goes where people stand up and tell personal stories, etc. One woman had been standing up for the past 6 months praising her husband for quitting smoking, only to recently find he'd been smoking all along, covertly. My wife said "I can't imagine that, I can smell right off whenever anyone has been smoking... don't you think that's crazy?" Felt like a trap, I sort of sense she knows I quit. I "uh-huh'd" the convo and kept driving...

As far as frequency of vaping goes, I don't even care. When I smoked, I finished the cigarette without ever even considering if I didn't want anymore. It was lit, I would finish it. I've read there are about 15 draws on a cigarette. I vape more frequently, but never 15 times in a row. It's a few here, a few there. Like I said, I could care less, but I would think in terms of actual draws, it's probably pretty close over the course of a day. Probably even less vaping draws. Heck, I never counted cigs, I just kept lighting them up. I do vape more frequently, but not as many draws as I would take on a cig.

And trying to drop nicotine levels too early is a bad idea IMO. Vape what strength you need and as ofetn as you need to fight off urges. Be patient. You will know when you are ready to lower the nic, don't push it too hard. I'm not smoking, and for now, that is fine... amazing, really.

Of course, any advice I give is based on me. Like never ever having another cig, just to see how awful it is. It's different for everyone, but some of us do fall into sort of sub-groups, where our experiences are more similar to each other's. I was a hard core, hard case, very heavy smoker. That alone makes my needs different than many others.

Wow Pantherz, nice job. 45. I didn't realize it was that many. I wonder how many actually followed through. It would be interesting to see what the success rate actually is. I think it's pretty freakin high. I know there is no going back for me, I'm not even looking back.

Big Jim, I knew a guy that was secretly smoking... his wife was fooled, he just told her he was around smo0kers. He had the listerine spray in his car. That went on for years. He was one of those smokers who could go several days without.

A Bic pen with a banana stuck on it. Better than having a tractor trailer trying to mush me into a guard rail last night in a dream. Then I got in front of the semi, and went over to kick the guy's ###. Out pops this cute 20 year old girl. Scantilly clad. I'll leave the rest up to you sick imaginations. It had a happy ending.

Had some pretty serious cravings yesterday (day 19). Don't know why, but it was an all-day deal. I did not give in. Ended up going out last night and drinking beer for the first time since I started vaping. Blasted away while shooting pool, and had a couple of guys not only ask about it, but write down the V4L website. Pretty sure I'm going to sign up as an affiliate...

Rode around house hunting with my brother today. Every time we stopped to look at a house he would light up. Then when we got back in the car I had to keep the window down for awhile. He smelled awful.

What is involved with beoming an affilaite?

Not sure yet. That was kind of tongue-in cheek...

My V4L XL manual is malfunctioning. Anyone else experience this? I fire it w/o a carto attached and it lights up. Put a carto on it and press the button and it fires for about 1 second, then the LED dims almost immediately, then stops. After I release the button, it lights back up right away for about a quarter second, then goes off. I'm getting virtually no vapor from it. I cleaned it, and it's still happening. It didn't get wet or anything either. Perhaps it's just a defective item?

Sounds defective. Id PM Dohsma or someone over at V4L forum at ECF and Im sure they will take care of it for ya. I havent had any problems with mine yet, but I only use it once in a while, as my autos still outperform the manual.* man the forum is SLOW today

I have not experienced that, and sounds different from the issue Wingnut was having (realized he needed to press the button harder). I'd say you have a defective unit but who knows. I haven't experienced it with mine.Well, test #2 for me begins today... heading out on a 3 day business trip where I'd usually chain smoke, especially at night at the hotel. It sure will be nice to be able to vape in the comfort of a motel room. Also at the business offices I was ducking out every couple hours and felt very uneasy about co-workers smelling me when I returned. Not too worried though, just like 2 weekends ago I'm looking forward to getting another usual cig scenario converted over to vaping routine.

New juice prelim review: Tasty Vapor German Chocolate Cake 18mg 20%VG

I couldnt resist the urge to try this, so I cleaned a used carto and tried it that way.

Taste: German chocolate cake. Dead ringer. Very smooth and pretty exact. This is the 2nd TastyVapor juice Ive tried, and like the first, this juice is BOOMING with flavor. 8/10.

Throat hit: Im pretty sure this is the fault of using a used/cleaned carto, but theres not enough TH for my taste with this. This has been the case for me with most cool carts lately though, which is why Ive been using WOW carts. Ive got more new blank WOWs on the way, so Ill have to post a new review once I get them. For now, Im giving the TH a 5/10 rating, but Im pretty sure that will change when I load up a fresh cart.

Vapor production: Solid. Nice thick plume. 8/10. I was hitting this at a concert the other night and my GF could smell it even though I was blowing the vapor down towards the floor.

So far, Tasty Vapor seems to have flavor figured out...Im hoping to try some more of their juice. I've got their Chocolate Covered Cherry waiting for a fresh cart right now...

If you like Taste and Vapor production, then Tasty Vapor is phenomenal. They use the best possible ingredients and offer doublers of the same flavors so you can order one nic juice in your flavor at a high concentration and then a 2 or 4 oz. doubler to combine to get to your preferred nic strength. That way you can really get the most bang for your buck without having to totally DIY, but of course you would need an empty bottle for mixing. So for around $25-$30 you can get 3oz or ~ 90ml of primo ejuice, which is pretty economical for such a high quality ejuice. However, I don't know if you guys that are all about the TH will be satisfied with TV, probably not at the 12mg level I've been using...As a former ultralight smoker and current low nicotine ecig user who likes a little sweetness and doesn't like a huge/harsh TH, TV is fast becoming my favorite supplier.

My current top 3 ejuice rotation:

Halo's Torque 56 in 6mg N - very smooth and very lightly sweet tobacco flavor with just enough TH to know that I'm vaping

TV's Cheesecake with a double shot of Blueberry (+sweetener), 80/20 PG/VG, 12mg N - smooth rich and delicious cheesecake and Blueberry flavor with just enough TH to know that I'm vaping

TV's Cupcake with Butter Cream and Vanilla Custard (+sweetener), 80/20 PG/VG, 12mg N - sounds like it would be overly sweet, but your just going to have to take my word that it's subtly sweet and CRAZY Good!, smooth rich and again just enough TH to know that I'm vaping.

These days I'm ordering ejuices exclusively from Tasty Vapor. Their ejuice is a noticeably superior quality product and outside of Halo and a couple of Bloog juices I've yet to find as smooth and rich a vaping experience elsewhere. They also allow you to customize some flavors like the cheesecake and cupcake (add whatever flavors you'ld like to them fruit/vanilla/chocolate/whatever), and customize the PG/VG content.

They also make EVERY batch fresh so it really needs time to steep and they don't sell samplers so I'm trying their weekly specials (TV rotates four different flavors on sale for $10/oz, which is approximately the same as $10/30ml of ejuice). So far I've ordered the Cheesecake, Cupcake, Cafe Machiatto, Bananas Foster and will be ordering three of this week's four juices on special: Atomic Cinnacide, Geoff's Blend, Caramel Popcorn. All 3 or these come highly recommended on the Tasty Vapor forum over at ECF, and Geoff's Blend is one of their few tobacco blends so I can't wait to try it.

Just got my mega KR808 Ikenvape cartomizers. Seems like I was able to get almost half a bottle of my sample juices in them. My first impressions is these things are going to be great. My only concern is I don't have a case to hold them with my batteries.

These cartos are really very good. I filled four of them a week ago, each with different flavors. One on my pass through, one on the Buzz and two on the V4L manuals in a rotation. I just keep topping them off, and they are still working like new, and I vape pretty heavilly. Again, I highly recommend these Ikenvape magas. Review: Notcigs Infinity MOD: Got it today. Extremely happy with it. It's sleak looking, not a big bruiser like the Buzz, it's rather elegant. About a half inch longer than a V4L KR808 battery, and the diameter is less than the size of a dime. Very easy to use, like the Buzz, the button is easy to find and frankly much better than the V4L manuals are to operate. First off, like the Buzz, the draw wasn't good, too tight, but like the Buzz, a 901 to 808 adapter fixed that problem. These adapters are quite small. The V4L's have too much air on a cool cart, but with the adapter, both of these Notcig PV's have perfect draw on the cool carts, the WOWs and the Ikenvape megas. The adapter is very small, so no biggie. I tried a coule of flavors, and tried a V4L expresso 36mg carto. The TH was too much. I dialed down the thumbwheel that adjusts the voltage a bit, and it was perfect. The TH went down to a sweet spot, but the vapor production and flavor didn't suffer at all from the lower voltage. The thumbwheel is easy enough to dial around, but not so exposed it can inadvertantly be moved. I am a MOD guy. Once you go MOD, you don't go back. These two PV's, the Buzz and the Infinity are phenominal. If you need more punch in a PV, these are the answer. I can still use my pass throughs, and even my 808 manuals, but I'd rather let them get dusty and use these two mods instead. More of everything, and the ability to change the voltage to the carto and the flavor you are using to find that sweet spot, and trust me, each carto and juice has it's own particualr sweet spot, where you can optomize TH, flavor and vapor production to fit your own personal taste. While the Buzz is so solidly built, I've had people say it looks like a weapon! There is no mistaking it does have a "brutish" appearance. The Infinity is quite elegant looking. Both perform about the same, but the Infinity and it's thumbwheel make it the better mod IMO. The Buzz will take a terrible beating and keep working. The Infinity while being very sturdy indeed, is probably not up to being dropped from 20 feet like the Buzz has been, as reported by many users. If you are a V4L pass through vaper, these are for you, in spades. They perform much better than PT's, and are battery based. The battery discharge times go into the second day, and since the voltage is regulated, the performance (and voltage) remain constant throughout until the batteries are completely drained.Flavors I liked on my PT are improved, sometimes by a lot by just tweaking the voltage a little bit. 5 Volts just isn't right for all cartos and flavors. With theses, you can adjust to find that perfect sweet spot. I have to add this as an edit: Becuase the batteries are removable, and have to be removed to get recharged, an extra set keeps you vaping while the other set of batteries is on the charger. You can use one of these as your one and only PV. I also got a volt meter, but I'm not sure I even needed it. Just adjust the thumbwheel on the Infity until you hit the right spot. I could not be happier than I am with these two mods. Big time

A lot of you guys have been doing the "flavor" juice search. A commendable effort, and worthwhile. I found that trying all sorts of flavors and juices was wasting money. I must have two dozen pina colada's, colas, desert and berry/fruit samplers I will never use. But, I guess I had to try them all to find out what worked for me.

Instead, I stuck with V4L flavors taht I discovered I liked, and looked to get more from the PV side instead. I love anything mocha. I liked some of the coffees, and the tobacco flavors. Once I found the juices I liked, I went to using mods. These flavors across the board improve with a variable voltage (VV) MOD.

While I may be missing out of some good juices, I put money into using a better PV. I don't want go play chemist and go off doing DIY juice concoctions. I want to stay off the butts and minimize the expenditure. I've found where I need to be... Ikenvape 808 megas, Notcigs mods and V4L juices. No more experimenting, no more juice buying mistakes. I have about 6 flavors I like, and I'm stocking up on them. I'm done spending money for at least 3 months. Now, I reap the financial benefits of vaping aside from all the other benefits. I'm freakin set.

Ahhh... I just began to assume that the smooth vaping experience from Halo and TV were because of superior quality ingredients and possibly also came at the expense of TH, since TV's 12mg is much less irritating TH compared to others I have tried so far.

I'm a little underwhelmed so far. Ordered a V4L shorty kit with some of the regular tobacco samplers and the WOW samplers. I'm really not getting a lot of vapor of these, and it really is not giving me that cigarette hit. Initially I wanted to get the Bloog, but they had been out of the kit I wanted for a couple of weeks. I did just order some carts from Nhaler that are supposed to be like the Bloog ones, and that combined with the Backwoods Brew and I am hoping this gets better. Anyone seen any difference using the Bloog carts with V4L batteries? Is it the same, or should I go ahead and get a Bloog battery in the near future as well?

I think it's been unanimous that the V4L tobacco flavors are sub-par. The only one that was passable for me at 18mg strength was the Hilton. What strength did you get?

I don't know if any of you guys are aware of theecig.com, but the have a new product that looks pretty cool: the Pyrex drip tip. The YouTube reviews they have up on their site are intriguing, and this new tip looks very easy to use. This is the first product that has me looking at a MOD. Personally, I like the idea of vaping through glass rather than heating up plastic to minimize any possible "extras" in my vapor. It looks like they fit over the 510, 901, 808 and 306 atomizers, but you're going to have to read upthread from this post to figure out what distinguishes these atomizers from each other. Glass drip tip

Oh, and I vaped a new flavor for the thread (I think): Blueberry Cobbler cool cart 18mg. I didn't get the cobbler part of the flavor so much, but I definitely got the blueberry pie-filling flavor. The TH was only average, IMO, rating about a 5. The VH was a bit better, but still not high end (6). Overall, it is ok, but I probably won't get it again.

I have the Bloog Batteries, and also got a shorty kit from V4L. The V4L kit was for my wife, so I haven't really used the batteries a lot, but my first impression was they worked just as well as the Bloogs. My main issue was the V4L carts. I didnt get nearly the vapor I was getting no matter what batteries I used. I think if you get some Bloog carts, or my new favorites the Ikenvape megas, you'll be much happier.

pretty cool. I have been having fun using it in inappropriate places (elevators, mcdonalds) to geta rise out people :stirspot:

I think I may use it in court... Going to a DA's office right now to watch an arrest video. DEFINITELY will use it in their office...

one question... How do you know how much to smoke? Last night was just winging it and at times my lips got numb a few times.

Might be a sign that you should slow down a bit? :D Got a bunch of juice from tastyvapor so I can mix myself some ultra low/ 0 nic (Not sure which yet) stuff for the times when I just want to vape away at it constantly.

I have the Bloog Batteries, and also got a shorty kit from V4L. The V4L kit was for my wife, so I haven't really used the batteries a lot, but my first impression was they worked just as well as the Bloogs. My main issue was the V4L carts. I didnt get nearly the vapor I was getting no matter what batteries I used. I think if you get some Bloog carts, or my new favorites the Ikenvape megas, you'll be much happier.
I find the Bloog battery to be more consistent. It's a 3.7V battery, but fully charged, it vapes at 4.2V and then drops down to 3.7 for most of its battery life. The aim is to be a "true" 3.7. The V4L batteries start off strong, but wane more consistently as it runs down. At least that's my observation. The one I had did crap out after 3 weeks, though, so maybe it was defective from the get go (V4L is replacing it free at no expense to me, even shipping. That's good CS, and one area where they have it all going on over Bloog.) It's the cartos that separate the Bloog product, IMO. The MaxxFusion cartos are several notches above the V4L WOW cartos. These new Ikenvape mega cartos may be even better.KT, if you're looking to get off analogs, I would recommend getting Ikenvape or Bloog cartos, and some strong juice, 24mg. You can always back your nic levels down if you want.

Big time
Great review, thanks for the info. If I get another mod, it's going to be the Infinity for sure.

You also may want to try the V4L diamond series batteries, they're supposed to more on par with the Bloog batteries. The old style (with the faux grey ash tip) are the older style (as are all the V4L manuals at this time I believe). I actually prefer the old style to the DS, as the DS feels too airy when I hit them, but with the DS, you don't need to take a primer puff. Supposedly, the same technology is in the DS as the Bloogs, but I can't confirm that for sure. Either way, take the advice about the other cartos, it seems to be unanimous that they are superior to the V4L carts. Myself, I've been happy with the V4L carts, but everyone has their preferences. Good luck man!

I've been checking out several things since I got a voltmeter with a 808 connector on it from Notcigs. The V4L manuals start at 4.1 volts with a full charge. As soon as they go down to 3.9, the perfomance tanks. Hard to say exactly how many vapes it takes to drain them to 3.9. I have to guess at about 50 or so. I might track that to get an exact number at some point. I've also found that being able to vary the voltage on the mods can make a big difference. At 4.5 volts, two heavy vapes on the Buzz gave me a slight burnt carto taste. Dialed it down to 4.35, and I could hit it with the Ikenvape mega 808's without any of that burnt carto taste as much as my little heart desired. Pretty much all of my cartos and juices are happiest between 4.5 and 4.1 volts. I haven't had any sort of burnt carto issues with my 5 volt V4L PT's, but I don't think they have the amperage of these two mods either. That violates Ohm's law, but I am guessing there is some sort of current limiting on the pass throughs. These two mods will dial up to 6 volts, and that WILL burn atty's. They seem to perform best at 4.5 to 4.1 volts, depending on the juice and the carto. Not so coincidentally, when the V4L's drop to 3.9, they IMO need to be recharged. You can still vape them, but everything falls off, vapor production, TH and flavor. So, EvilG, I am in agreement with you on the V4L 808's. They start off great, but can't stay on the mark for all that long. Maybe 50 vapes.

The mod I just bought is not a VV, but you can mess with the voltage. I just got a 3.7V battery to start, but you can also buy 5V 18650s or stack two 3V CR-123s to vape at 6 volts. Obviously, that changes the type of atomizers/cartomizers you're going to want to use. Right now, I have my 2.5 ohm (average) MaxxFusion 808 cartos, but I also ordered some 2 ohm 306s, 2 ohm 510s and a 1.7 ohm 510. So, I'm going to try 3.7V at first and changing the resistance rather than the voltage to see what works best.

Some other thoughts:

trogg... told ya! The Ikenvape mega 808's are fantastic! I won't buy another carto other than these. They hold 2 ml's of juice. I have 4 of them in a rotation for a week now, no cleaning, just topping off, and they still work as well as they did on that first fill up. Very easy to top off, they have a little air tube that extends beyong the wicking material. You can just drop some juice on the outside of that tube, and you won't get any juice in yout mouth.

If your lips are burning, you are getting juice on them. Even on prefiiled cartos, blow through the battery end to get excess juice out before vaping. That will solve that problem.

Kilgore Trout, how much and what did you smoke? If you are like me, a very heavy EX-smoker, you may need to be vaping a mod, or a stronger MG level of nicotine. Try a pass through (PT) from V4L.... if that and a higher N dosage works for you, and it likely will, you have your answer. The truth is I wasted some money in order to finally get my vaping right where I needed it to be to quit smoking. That meant 36mg juices and variable voltage mods. I am in my happy camp now, but I had to experiment to find it.

At 3.7 volts, you might want to try the Ikenvape 2 ohm megas 808's. I now swear by the Ikenvape cartos. He doesn't list them at his site by Ohms, but rather by recvommended voltage ranges. It;s obviosly the lower voltage cartos that are the two Ohm types. I have to use the HR megas on the Notcigs mods. They would fry the 2 Ohm cartos.

After further investigation, I have a theory on the KR808 batteries, the V4L's. After about 50 vapes, the voltage does stay up aroung 3.9 volts. BUT, that is with a voltmeter attached, which provides no load on the batteries. Put a load on it, like when you vape it, and my guess is the voltage takes a nose dive. The difference between a freshly charged battery at 4.1 volts and one that measures 3.9 cannot be explained in terms of performance. I can adjust my mods to 3.9 volts and they kick the KR808's butt when they are measuring 3.9.

So, until I have a meter that can monitor the voltage when the KR808 batteries are under a load, as when vaping on it, my theory is that the voltage (and amperage) drop significanly when the batteries have to pump some amps out.

I have some experience in electronics that would support this behavior. The amperage draw can drop the supply voltage when drawing current. In a static state or unloaded state, the battery's voltage will return to a higher potential. The voltmeter can only be used when the battery is static, not loaded. Load that same battery, and the voltage drops... and so does the amperage, which is really what dictates performance in a PV.

Rovers dropping theory.... for those who might be interested.

Have you reduced any of their stuff to below 12mg?Can 0mg or 4mg be ordered from TV or is it a double.double thing??

As far as being too airy goes, couldn't you just block a couple of the air holes (where the cart meets the battery)? If find I do that sometimes with the way I hold it. Basically the way I hold it is kind of like one would a microphone. The only part that's visible is the top part of the cart.

Update: Was given a $50 gift certificate to a cigar shop that is local here for my 34th birthday. I plan on going in and just buying a e-cig setup from there, telling my wife that it will be a better habit than my cigar habit (which she does know about). I figure I can just buy more carts than she knows about to maintain where I am at until I can taper down.

Now, I have no idea what they sell there, but what is good that is for sale in a typical cigar shop? I know that they have a couple options there, saw them last time I was in, but I'm not sure what. Give me a couple of brands that will probably be there that are pretty solid choices. Thanks!

The REO Grand mod hits like a GD freight train. Holy mackerel. This thing is sensational. I can't imagine going back to the 808 unless I'm grabbing one for on the go. At 3.7V and a 2 ohm atomizer, the clouds of vapor and throat hit I'm getting are intense, even with 100% VG juice that lacked punch on my 808s. Unbelievably easy to use too. What a great buy this turned out to be.

When I met my g/f and after she moved in with me she smoked more than I did. But one day she started yoga and BANG hasn't had one since. So I started smoking outside. Now that I have these v4l I vape inside but not too much around her. When I do I feel kind of weird, like I'm smoking a cigarette indoors. We both laugh when I'm vaping when I'm in front of her because it seems so "taboo". And I don't think she really "gets" it. Like if I tell her I've been smoke free for a month I don't think she really thinks I have. She doesn't give me grief about it at all. She never did about me smoking analogs. Even thought we live together and I've been smoking this whole time I've always been outdoors and don't like to smoke in front of her. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I get where you might not like vaping in front of your wife even though we all know it's not smoking a cig.If I were you I'd buy a bottle of juice with some of those carts that Rover raves about. That way you're only buying a couple of things. You'll have your one bottle, some carts and your setup (batteries and charger). Just keep refilling. And I totally realize I never answered your question. I have no idea about buying this stuff other than online.

I'm not 100% offhand, but I think it is Davidus.

I think it's been unanimous that the V4L tobacco flavors are sub-par. The only one that was passable for me at 18mg strength was the Hilton. What strength did you get?
I got the 18mg. I am/was a half a pack a day smoker during the week, and a pack a day on the weekends. I thought the 18 would be enough, but maybe not. The regular carts are at least giving me some vapor, but the WOW's are not very wow, and the highest nic content is 11 (normally going to 11 is good). The Kant is the one I am smoking the most right now, and the Hilton will follow. Looking forward to trying some new carts. Good news though is I haven't had a cigarette in a little over 24 hours. My goal here is to quit smoking, then quit vaping.

So far, after the 20 or so juices Ive tried, I only have 2 in my steady rotation (V4L Cappuccino and Tasty Vapor Waffle)...Im still looking for another few juices to add to that rotation, so for me trying juices still makes sense. However, besides the one coffee sampler I got from V4L, I havent ordered any actual sampler packs...Ive been trying different flavors via freebies me and the GF get from V4L, and Ive bought a few samples from the ECF forums of stuff I thought I might like or am just curious about, such as Key Lime Pie. Its my favorite dessert, and Im curious to see how close the juice tastes compared to the real thing, although Id never buy it for my regular rotation. The only flavor in the V4L coffee sampler I liked was the cappuccino (I just ordered my 2nd bottle of it from V4L). Didnt like the Vanilla or Caramel mocha frap, or the espresso, or the coffee, so those carts are just gonna collect dust. I thought I liked the RY4, but after a few more revisits, Im not really a big fan. And while I did like a few freebies Ive tried (Melon and Pineapple), I didnt like them enough to order juice. Halo's Torque56 and Freedom juice are both good, so I might order both again and mix them. I keep my eye on the classified forum at ECF, its a great way to try small samples of stuff for cheaper than from the vendors. All I need to do is find maybe 2 or 3 more juices to put in my rotation and Im set. The only money I feel I wasted on juice was the 36mg stuff I bought from voidmist, which was my 1st juice purchase before I understood PG/VG etc. I cant even vape that stuff anymore. Itll probably go bad before it gets used, but I only paid $9 for it, so no biggie. My V4L batteries are perfect for my needs though, I dont think Id like a stronger hit than I get from some good 18-24mg juice. Hopefully Ill find those last few juices soon. I gotta say though, BWB's Applewood is growing on me. Its a nice change of pace juice and I am considering adding it to my rotation.Rovers, what are your 6 "go-to" juices?? Just curious :)
