ESPN reporting SEA released RB Julius Jones (1 Viewer)

Perfect timing for tonight's draft :lmao:

Finally someone sees that JJ no longer has it, Washington is a nice value play in PPR leagues, IMO.

Leon is 40% the man and Justin is 40% the man, giving the Seahawks 80% of the RB man.

New England
Why on earth would they want Jones?
They've got a bunch of nothing at RB in New England, I would like to see them take a chance on Andre Brown, even though he has a long injury history The NE RB situation looks dismal imo
You might want to give Belichick a call and let him know he's not running his team properly. He's probably not aware of this.Oh, but before you do, better have a look at how their dismal group ranked as a team in rushing efficiency last year. :lmao:

No room for speculation and opinion in this thread ? give it a rest, CP :hophead: It's no longer 2009, things do change rapidly in the NFL

Aww, I'm just having a little fun. But c'mon, just because there are no great fantasy prospects doesn't mean the team can't run the ball. They have done just fine. And honestly, I wouldn't take Jones over any of their guys except maybe BJGE. He's just not very good.

I was shocked he was even still there...

I was also shocked he lasted as long as he did there. I thought he was 100% done in Dallas. He would run into the line and then fall down...usually backwards.

I was reading where Leon was goong to return the kicks, all of them. If so and it was mentioned there as well, highly unlikely he is going to get the lion's share of carries and touches.

Not sure how much of the load Forsett can handle but can we at least say that Seattle has one of the worst group of skill position players after the QB of almost all 32 NFL teams? Name 5-7 other teams that you think have worse RB1-RB2, WR-1-2-3 players across the board. Cleveland? It's hard to come up with more than a couple. They are going to be a candidate to score close to the bottom in total points for the season.

i just read the the hawks signed michael robinson from SF. Did he return kicks at one point? I'm a Leon Washington owner reaching I guess. I probally should have drafted Forsett instead.

Lets not forget Washington did not play the final preseason game while Forsett started and ran back a kick. I believe Washington is the better back and will get 60%+ of the touches. I would take Washington's value way before I over paid for Forsett. Washington could be a very nice value in PPR leagues.

:lmao: I agree. and I have done that. I think Leon ends up with better stats at the end of the year.

FWIW...

per Profootballtalk (via twitter):

'Julius Jones restructured his contract and was never cut. He's still a Seahawk.'

per Adam Schefter:

'Seahawks RB Julius Jones saved his job by taking a paycut. The plan, which multiple people confirmed, was to cut him. Paycut saved job.'
