Ravens

Best: Flacco's the most accomplished, but Jackson's already better than Joe ever was. Vinnie put up some good numbers in the early days.

Worst: The Kyle Boller mistake set them back years, but they also trotted out some truly horrific QBs like Stoney Case.

That was my first thought (minus the Young part), but I guess Druckenmiller was undefeated as a starter, right?  Has to be someone worse. Alex Smith’s rookie year was the worst QB play I’ve ever seen, though he obviously got better (eventually). Maybe Cody Pickett?

The Jets heads came up with some real doozies last time this question was asked. They had some from the vault that were truly terrible. Zamboni, NYRAGE, and Matthias* might chime in here with some truly awful ones before my time. 

Our best? Namath or Ken O'Brien. It's been bad.

Wrong. We can’t count any of our 1-2 year rentals. Sad that we haven’t developed a QB (best case was Culpepper) in 30 years.

I mean we had McNabb tossing bounce passes and the Josh Johnson MNF debacle but those were 1 game wonders.

He wasn't. Pelleur (sp?) got another team (KC) to give him a starting job where he nearly got killed by a vicious hit that wiykd be outlawed today.  Nobody ever wanted to see Chad Hutchinson again.  Or Drew Henson for that matter.

Agree on Namath being overrated, but wasn’t sure who would be best QB instead. Ken O’Brien? Chad Pennington?

On the money. Mike Ditka was a terrible judge of QB ability, and compounded that problem by implementing 1970s offensive philosophies. 1997 Shuler was our worst, but 1998 Kerry Collins and 1999 Billy Joe Tolliver gave Shuler a run.

Danny Wuerffel and Billy Joe Hobert got some starts during those years, too — and were actually slight steps up.

 
Jaguars

Best - Really no competition for Mark Brunell. I guess second would be David Garrard. After 7 starts Minshew might slot in 4th after Leftwich.

Worst - I guess you go with Gabbert over such storied QB like Chad Henne, Blake Bortles, Trent Edwards and Todd Boumann. I almost forgot Quinn Gray, not to be confused with Jonathan Quinn

Boller was a great athlete and had ZERO clue how to play QB in the NFL. The Ravens wasted years of a really good team trying to make him one. Even if they had someone like Jake Delhomme, they may have added another SB title.

No one expected much from Wright, so he did much less damage.

Btw, Favre had the highest QB rating in a season of any Viking ever in 2009.  And the highest QB rating of his career.

I realize you're being a bit facetious here, but there's no way Johnson, Losman, Edwards, AVP, and Manuel are anywhere near as bad as Peterman was.  Peterman was a historically bad QB, statistically one of the worst QBs in NFL history.  The Chargers game is a "where were you when this happened?" moment for Buffalo natives.  I was having dinner at my sister in law's apartment, watching the game with my FIL.  You literally remember where you were when you watched "The Peterman Game".

11 tds vs 20 ints  in 12 games in 1987.  4-17 as a starter.

amazing, 60 years of football and i wonder why this franchise reeks.  look at these names.  i think pennington and his noodle arm was better than o’brien.  i felt confidant in pennington in tight spots and end of game stuff, he was so smart.  kicking him out for favre still irks me.

I had no idea Henne was still in the league. According to overthecap he has made 34 mil in his career. Sweet gig.

@FieldYates: Non-Patrick Mahomes Chiefs QB news: the team has activated Chad Henne from IR and waived Kyle Shurmur. Mahomes, Henne and Matt Moore are now all on the active roster.

I think every team might have trouble selecting a "worst" QB.  There should be some minimum number of starts so that you're not trying to figure out if Josh Johnson was better than John Friesz.

Yep. I glanced at the QBs with more than 200 attempts as an arbitrary cutoff. 

I think someone like Druckenmiller is fair game for the 49ers, though, since he was a 1st round pick. A high draft pick should be able to throw more than 52 passes.

Yeah, none of those guys deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Peterman.  

 
Steelers best.....tie between Bradshaw and big Ben. I think Ben is the better QB but Bradshaw was the better big game QB, as evidenced by 4 Superbowls.

Worst.......mark Malone and kordell Stewart give headaches thinking of them ......goota go with Stewart as the steelers wasted some good teams with Stewart

Broncos: 

Best: Elway.  I know some might say Manning but different eras and all that.  Don't saddle Elway with Dan Reeves and he wins at least two more SBs (No way Broncos were beating 49ers).

Worst: Paxton Lynch.  He never developed, I never even saw a spark.  Brandon Allen has shown more in 2 games than Lynch ever did.  If you were grading on QB talent alone, it's Tebow but man, that season was solo much fun.
