I’m wondering what to spend on Doubs. I’m in a deep league and am shocked to see someone released him. I am WR needy. It seems the days of a robust waiver wire for the first few weeks are over.
25%
That's about what I was thinking. I currently have 271 bid in. You never know. It may be way too much or somebody comes in with a 350 bid.
How deep is your league?
I got him last night for $13 (out of $100). 12 team redraft. The next closest bid was $10.

How many rounds was your draft and how deep is your bench? Also, is this a two or three WR league? I play in a pretty deep three WR league so there isn’t much to choose from in free agency. A guy like Doubs shouldn’t be available.

Thanks!

I got Doubs last night for $16 (out of $100). Next closest bid was $6

14 team, Non-PPR, Start 2WR and 2 flex

Pickens dropped in 2 of my leagues (mainly short bench)... how much faab would you spend? FBG suggests 25-50%

Taysom.... thoughts?
My thoughts on him haven't changed from the last couple waiver threads. If he's still somehow available in your league, someone is gonna bid heavily on him now as opposed to the last couple weeks he was free (or required a minimum bid). I don't have any thoughts on what you should bid. My thought has always been to grab him when it was apparent Winston's health was compromised and the possibility existed he could miss time as he was the best readily available lottery ticket in fantasy. I'll be interested to see how much he'll be going in these leagues where he's still available.

Here's his usage Week 5:
@adamlevitan
Taysom Hill accounted for four TDs on 23 snaps yesterday. Played 11 at QB, 6 RB, 4 inline TE, 2 slot. (TE1 finish in PPR...w/o catching a pass)

Week 4 I believe he played 12 snaps. (TE16 finish in PPR....w/o catching a pass)

Taysom was interesting this week. I got him with $225 of $1000 budget. 4 other bids. All approximate $200, $180, $150, $100.

I never understand the owners that still have 90% of their FAAB at the end of the year. It's like it's beneath them to even bid for players. My league has 6 above 90% still and 9 above 80%.

I spent 50% on Walker and Wilson Jr (30/20 respectively), and that was 3 weeks ago. I got Hill last night for $1...nobody put in a bid?!

FFPC-FBG league:
I bid 28% for Hill but lost to a 40% bid.
I got Bellinger for 5.1%. Just beating out a 4.8% bid.

Rtsports:
Got Pierce for 13%. Can't see other bids.

yeah.. I caught flak for dropping 16% on Hill. As if it were to be done with some level of shame. Lol.

Agreed. The think is I want to spend but we are a pretty deep league (10 teams/20 roster spots), so there hasn't been too many players available thus far in which I need to spend that much. If Walker were available in my league (keeper), I might have thrown virtually all I had even if it turned out to be much more than needed.

Between ffpc and rtsports, I probably average 5-6 faab contests a year and I can't recall ever seeing this. At this point in the year I see plenty with a high remaining balances who are probably waiting for the 1 or 2 season changing pick ups for which they're willing to spend 50% or more.

What's Christian Watson going for in most people's FAAB leagues? FBG says 25-50% but I feel like he's a "blow what you have left" kinda guy if you're desperate for a win. Only 4 weeks left in the season.

He's still on the WW in my league and we are now at FCFS. I'm not grabbing him because I have a short bench, Olave is on Bye Week 14, and so is Watson, so he doesn't help with that particular problem.

Watson went for $40. Actually surprised it was that low considering some of the amounts that teams had left.

  • C Watson $38 (5 bids)
  • Van Jefferson $13 (3 bids)
  • J Landry $3 (2 bids)
  • Westbrook-Ikhine $2
  • Saints DT $1
  • K Ingram $1
I spent all my remaining FAAB on Watson. Have had Hollywood Brown and Mike Williams in IR slots for a month, both should be back soon but have a 1 v 2 matchup this week.

I won him for 80 of 100. Probably overpaid, but at this point what exactly am I holding money for?
Mighta been worth it.
TD machine for two games. Looking good. If he can stay on the field the rest of the season, I suspect he will be the #1 WR in targets sooner than later as he develops more rapport with Rodgers. Kicking myself because I almost grabbed him as a stash before last weeks game, but decided to keep Warren instead. Didn't have enough money to make a serious bid after the breakout game. Oh well.

Amazing that he has 5 TDs in two games on a struggling passing offense. Justin Jefferson, the best WR in football (IMO anyway) has 4 all season. Interesting hobby we have
