**Falcons at Jaguars in London** (-3, 42.5) 9:30/6:30AM Kickoff (1 Viewer)

I’ve just spent 10 minutes trying to find coverage for this game. I thought for sure this would be televised on Sunday Ticket.

ESPN Plus. I shot the lock off the wallet and ponied up the $9.99 for the month. I'm not sure I liked doing that out of principle. This game should be on NFL Network or Sunday Ticket. This is the beginning of the NFL fragmentation cash grab that I knew was coming.
Yeah, I mean I don't want to be the old guy shaking his fist and yelling but damn, I wouldn't pay one red cent to watch this game. I'd have to think for a while on how much they'd need to pay me.

I already get Amazon Prime, so I can watch those games. I hate the fact that I can't hit the remote during commercials, but at least they have some better games* this year.

* I have some thoughts on the NFL renegotiating their deal with Amazon and giving them the right to flex games. And no, it isn't how they're screwing over fans that may have made travel arrangements to attend a game on a Sunday and find themselves done over, although that certainly enters into it.

Instead I have an issue with the NFL renegotiating it at that point in time. Full disclosure: I don't have the contract in front of me, but unless Amazon had the right to terminate or some other provision, why in the world would the NFL give up flexing for nothing? They could have leveraged that for additional money when the contract for Thursday night games was up again. Is this just another instance of Roger earning the big bucks? Seems like idiocy to me.
Spot on

Such a money grab. Let’s not put the game on ESPN, but ESPN plus so our loyal fans can pay another $10 a month. It really is the principle at this point. Good god, stop sticking it to the fans just because you can.

At this point, I’m genuinely holding Pitts in a keeper league out of pure spite. I finally accept that at least one of the following are true:
1. Pitts is far and away the most overrated draft prospect of all-time.
2. Pitts really is the greatest TE prospect of all time, we just have to be patient.
3. A QB change will unlock Pitts’ potential and he will explode.
4. Pitts will never play with a QB who can unlock his potential.
5. Despite appearing to be open quite often, Pitts is actually never open, it’s just an illusion.
6. Pitts can’t catch
7. 9 out of 10 balls thrown to Pitts are uncatchable
8. Dropping Pitts will undoubtedly trigger his hall of fame career.
9. Holding Pitts will ensure he continues to be worthless.
10. All of the above

Listen Jacksonville, I know you're ahead but Atlanta is building some momentum here.

You need to come out slinging the rock here in the 2H. Keep your defense off the field, etc. Do not make it a game of attrition, put this **** away!!

Streaming services are the new cable, employing the same tactics with different platforms instead of "packages" and add-ons.

Yep. I get it. What I dont like is when u have to piece togethe multiple streaming services to watch the same thing. It's like only being able to watch season 1 of Game of Thrones on Max. Then season 2 must be watched on Disney. Season 3 and 4 only on Paramount. Although it was bad if u do want to watch final season it's obvious your gonna need YouTube. Smh. Squeezing the consumer in a time when we are tired of being squeezed.

2. Pitts really is the greatest TE prospect of all time, we just have to be patient.
This is the correct answer. His rookie season showed that.
I tend to agree, but being patient is starting to feel like at least a 4/5 year commitment. That’s a long time to roster an otherwise useless player. Without a trade, which is highly unlikely, When exactly are we expecting Pitts to breakout and why?

Just got in the door from some morning Tennis

-ESPN+ ???
First time I can remember where I don't have direct access to the game, kinda strange
I just can't get over how dumb this is. Watch next year the streaming platforms get together to squeeze us. U can't watch a specific game with just Paramount. You can't watch a specific game with just Amazon. You need to acquire the "power token" by purchasing BOTH Paramount and Amazon together to watch. Smh

Not picking on you, but they were always going to be. Any time there's a short-term profit to be made, these companies will do it. They have yet to figure out how to create a sustainable profit and good customer experience.

Every single entertainment platform. Every one.

From video rentals to cable, they've managed to **** the consumer every time, with every new innovation. It's corporatism run amok in America.

I think ultimately he's injured, either currently or long term, seems to limp. Put that with a bad offense, its not gonna work. His only hope is a QB upgrade next year, otherwise it will happen for him at his next stop. Unfortunately he's the proof of concept for not taking a TE that high, as you have other issues if you're picking 4th. He's a finishing piece, not a foundational one

Its funny because everything is so split up now, even if you are saving $50 a month the hassel or managing multiple subscriptions and logging into various apps is goofy.

Miss the good old days where all you had to do was turn on your gosh darn TV.

That 6-yarder just now looked like the first outside run I've seen Jax go for in the second half. Followed by an option play. FINALLY something smart.

All game it's like this OC is awful. Doing almost nothing to put his payers in position for success...these guys should be up by like 28 not 13.

For sure. I remember when my friend next door got the first cable box. Went from like 8 channels, maybe, to like 50. Life was good. Ha ha

Another option is a QB upgrade. That’s more likely IMO.

I disagree with this entire post.

You know what happened then, right? Real property law got in the way of non-monopolistic cable. The real property concerns were so vast and difficult that government entities granted the cable companies monopolies in areas, and cable was never the same. It was doomed from the start by the laying of cable.

Bandwidth and services such as that have very little excuse.

Both these teams are much better than they play. Poor playcalling and usage on both sides. No excuses for guys like Ridley, Pitts, and London to be 2-3 catch guys.

It seems like a Lawrence led offense with very good skill players should be scoring more points. Is it the dropped passes, the play calling, the oline hold them back from being a top offense?

31, 9, 17, and now 23 points. I was expecting more.

Preach it man. They still can't take away me waiting up till late when Cinemax went soft porn. Blurry, blacked out and wavey images of naked women on cable was my introduction to the female body. I owe a thank u to that cable technology.
Ha ha

Jonnu Smith has been a nice pick in TE-P leagues so far.

That’s about my only take-away from this game other than Jags -3 was stealing money from Vegas.

Up $100, and had that as the 1st leg of all 4 of my parlays. :pickle:

I'm ready to trade him for a bag of footballs in dynasty but the ship has probably sailed on that... Benched him for Jordan Love.

Jonnu out targeting and out producing Pitts and London for that matter.

Kirk and Engram going for 20 targets to Ridley's 2.

This game makes me feel like I don't know nothing.

There was enough game talk in this thread.

How else to say it? Ridder stunk, made crucial mistakes, and the game was largely over after the pick six given Atlanta's difficulty moving the ball. Jacksonville moved the ball a bit and then let the air out of the ball.

Game over.

Thanks Hugsy, was going to post I was too cheap to shell out the $9.99 to watch the game and was wondering what everyone thought. Sounds like I made a good non investment.
