Fan Duel Week 2 (1 Viewer)

Not that week 1 didn't go horribly wrong anyways but I love the lineup Im currently sitting on right now this week, which is completely making me feel like its going to bomb. Wonder if this feeling will be a weekly thing :wall:

Cooks or Colston for 50/50 lineup? Both had 8 targets last week and Colston is cheaper but may be covered by Haden all game.

I fear Joe Hayden and Drew Brees on the road, but I am playing Cooks in my regular league.

On the daily games, it seems there are many mid priced options at every position so I am placing more $ at WR this week.

Fortunately, I try to run 3 lineups for the Thursday fade and mix and match players, so I only got caught with 33% ownership of AP. However I do like Asiata, as I watched the game last year when AP and Gerhart were down. He is not AP, who is, there is a reason the Vikings were fine with Gerhart leaving town. They did draft McKinnon, but he's more of a speed back.

As I have a 33% handicap this week on FD, I checked out Fantasy Aces, and have to say I was intrigued by the "salary pro" system and the 2 qb, 2 flex lineups. It really forced me to consider the whole universe of active nfl players and was a nice counterpoint to my FD play. We'look see what the results are like.

Seems like the lineups that I feel good about bomb more often than not! But I am by no means a daily fantasy pro. I think I might try the "George Castanza strategy" this week...plug in a bunch of players that look to be good values that I personally don't feel good about.

Let's talk about offensive line injuries, and what effect they may or may not have on your daily fantasy lineup decisions.

Case#1--not an injury scenario, but a great situation to learn from none the less. Miami started 5 completely new O-lineman week 1 (compared to last season). Much to my surprise, Moreno and Miller racked up 200 total yds rushing against a supposedly improved Pats run D. I wouldn't have guessed that happening in a million years! Someone did, and Moreno helped them to a HUGE payday in last week's Sunday million. Do we need to start looking more closely at the impact of offensive line coaches?

Case#2--the Chiefs lost a starting guard in week 1. Combine that with a starting O.T. serving a suspension, and loosing, I believe, 2 linemen to free agency, the Chiefs line could have as many as 4 new starters versus a year ago. This has me downgrading Charles this week, and bumping the Denver D a few notches. Am I wrong in my thinking? Is there an O-lineman coach in KC with a magic wand?

Without listing more examples, I guess the question is this: is a guy playing daily fantasy football over thinking things when it comes to trying to measure the impact of offensive line injuries?

This is a pretty sick looking 1pm only I think:QB

Andy Dalton

CIN v ATL RB

Shane Vereen

NE @ MIN RB

Matt Asiata

MIN v NE WR

A.J. Green

CIN v ATL WR

Calvin Johnson

DET @ CAR WR

Julio Jones

ATL @ CIN TE

Delanie Walker

TEN v DAL K

Shayne Graham

NO @ CLE D

New England Patriots

NE @ MIN
Wow, our teams are crazy similar. Don't know if that's good or not

Did anybody enter some matchups with the high roller players this Thursday?
Mbomb44: pfm, morris, gio, hawkins, colston, Reggie wayne, graham, tucker, bucs

Condia: rodgers, gio, jennings, colston, floyd (az), d thomas, graham, tucker, packers. Same as above with carpenter, k for the bills. Same as first, with vineTari and DC def.

A couple GPPs I'm rolling with tomorrow:

QB Hoyer

RB G. Bernard

RB Forte

WR A. Hawkins

WR Julio

WR J. Hunter

TE Gronk

K Hauschka

D Green Bay

QB Locker

RB G. Bernard

RB Forte

WR Calvin

WR Hunter

WR Alshon

TE Kelce

K Zuerlein

D Washington

Anyone considering Holmes if one or both of the bears WRs is declared out? Right now Id still not go with him but if both the starting WRs are out then I think he interesting especially in GPP.

Not in cash games. To me it makes forte a great play and Bennett worth a look.

I agree Forte becomes more attractive. Bennett looks better but there are still a number of options I like better at TE. I wouldn't use Holmes in cash games but in GPP I might although there are a number of middle to cheap WRs I like this week so may not need the saving he would provide.

If Jeffrey and Marshall don't play I don't think I would touch anyone in that game besides the SF D.

I hope to be able to do a short piece every Tuesday that provides subscribers with something that looks like this, as well as providing a commentary as to the stars in each cell.

Hopefully, this is useful for those of you doing your last-minute research tonight/tomorrow...and I'll do my best to get something more complete hereafter.

If any of you have DFS questions, feel free to follow me on Twitter & I'll reply to them there, as well.

All 50/50's. Any mistakes are my own. Which lineups don'the fit the cap?

Maybe for greater clarification, condia's 2nd and third are variations on condia's first lineup, not mbomb's.

Anyone?

Floyd from S.Diego would fit into Condia's team, not Arizona's, Floyd. Maybe that's it.

No...you can't do this because the laws of daily fantasy state that an entrant must know the exact payouts prior to entering the contest; if the number of contestants were 'open,' you'd be unable to adhere to that law because the payouts would be dynamic (based on the number of people who entered), rather than pre-established.

Lol.

Assume you're talking about the Hoyer lineup, as the second one is full if my math is right. I have $1000 left in the first lineup, but not really sure I want to change any of the players. I like the Hoyer to Hawkins stack at home against the Saints with a high O/U and as a 6.5 point dog. I did consider taking Hawkins out for an upgrade at WR, but in a GPP I think I like the stack. Still debating there though. I like the RBs, especially Forte who has a relatively low ownership % according to the Thurs GPPs. Julio and Hunter are also high upside guys (imo) with lower ownership %s. I debated upgrading Gronk to Graham or Thomas.. but Gronk has a low ownership % relative to those guys and I like his matchup. Ditto on GB. Suggestions definitely welcome on how to spend the extra $1000 to improve the lineup. Still wrestling with the idea of taking out Hawkins, but I'm not crazy about the guys above him for GPP purposes.

I'm not changing anything...probably use it more later tonight with slight tweaks at K/D to differentiate. Maybe mix in a Dez over Julio.

Yes, Condia's first roster doesn't fit the cap unless it's Floyd from SD

I joined a contest against Dodds. Haven't seen his lineup yet, but did notice that he's quite the NBA and MLB players as well. Over or close to 10,000 wins in each IIRC.

edit: nvm. must have looked at the wrong username.

Palmer out made me change my Floyd lineup. I took out Floyd and Green and went with DT and Wright. I was playing with a bunch of different stuff and didn't want to change my whole lineup so I did this

This lineup is VERY similar to a few I have. Makes me a bit nervous with the Locker-Hunter stack, but if it hits, the rest of the roster is pretty solid.

Thanks. Would also help to know if these are H2H, 50/50, big tourneys, etc.

Palmer is out but a few of my weeks already started. Is it too late to change him out or am I stuck with a 0 at my QB spot?

My favorite lineup of the week:

Dalton

McCoy

Bradshaw

AJ Green

Julio

Colston

My other lineups posted here.

Good luck, I just remembered why I hate DFS. I had 400 dollars left over in the Luck lineup and it was bothering me, now with the weather good in Carolina and Hardy out, I went with Calvin over DT and put Folk in for Philly kicker. I really don't want to change it in the next hour. I am considering going outside and helping my husband with yard work lol
