Fantasy Golf--Advice Needed (1 Viewer)

I am in a majors pool. Basically, the only tournaments that count are the 4 majors. The most important scoring categories are the winner of the major and total score of your 4 best golfers in the in the major. There is a big penalty if more than 3 of your 7 golfers miss the cut in any major. There are 6 GMs so a total of 42 golfers will be drafted.

My first five picks are listed below so I have my last two picks. I am thinking of guys like Mahan, Schwartzel, Angel, Donald, Dufner etc. Any other thoughts?

eta: Angel because apart from last year, he's a Masters specialist. I'd drop him and pickup someone else for the US Open.

Here are the first 5 rounds:

rory

1.2 spieth ME
stenson
bubba
scott
dustin

day
walker
reed
phil
2.5 jb holmes ME
rose

snedeker
3.2 fowler ME
sergio
matsuyama
kuchar
oosthuizen

furyk
horschel
casey
palmer
4.5 koepka ME
kaymer

keegan
5.2 haas ME
dubuisson
moore
mcdowell
poulter

westwood
tiger

I'm on the clock.

Last two picks were Webb Simpson and Mahan.

I am really leaning to Kevin Na.

Brendan Grace and Brandon Todd are my sleepers.

ETA: Russell Henley has also been incredibly solid all year. Great guy to get in the last round or two as he should make the cut.

I'm not so sure about him. He's become less relevant at Augusta since started Tiger-proofing the course. If the conditions are wet this week, I think the big hitters are going to have the advantage. He's not one of them.

the last 4 or 5 years don't look at all that great: http://www.augusta.com/masters/players/bios/Zach_Johnson.shtml?tab=scores
Of the options listed, I like his game and ability to win.

I know he's not faired well always at Augusta, however, of the names left, he's the one guy I saw that can win almost any tournament on any given weekend.

Didn't he win it in 2008?

Ah.

Yeah I think Johnson is a great option in the 7th round, last couple of years be damned.

I'd be tempted to put a flyer on Bernhard Langer - dude is a vampire at Augusta - it's going to take a silver stake to the heart to stop him one day.

Here's my team (order by round):

Spieth

Holmes

Fowler

Koepka

Haas

Na

Kirk

Zach was the last pick The guy tried to pick Kirk as he hadn't noticed I took him.

Worried about Holmes--hope I don't regret taking him so early.

Eh, you are supporting him with some pretty consistent guys. I would have taken Kuchar, Snedeker, or Sergio there but it's hard to argue with the hot hand.

i like Els and VJ as value guys. tons of experience at Augusta.

Stricker's wedge play alone could keep him in the mix #sleeper
