Two things.
@Faust does a ton and he's super appreciated. He knows I/we feel that way he's a big help.
Second, there can be a reasonable discussion about what gets posted. As I said in the other thread, lIke with all the forum, it's a balance of signal to noise and trying to keep a high bar for what's relevant. The challenge is different people have different levels of what they want.
Some want everything. Some want just the big things. We can talk on that.
I forget who it was but a while back we had a Sunday where tons of posts were made that weren't high enough importance to be a thread. The poster absolutely was trying to help but we talked and adjusted the bar for what should make a news post. And it worked great. I always want to encourage people doing their best to post good stuff. I love the enthusiasm.
So like with anything, I think we can talk through it.
It feels to me the level of story importance we have now is about at the right level.
But that's something we can talk about. Some might want a higher "bar" for importance and fewer stories. Some might want a lower bar and more stories.
I personally err on the side of more knowing people can skip over. But there's also a line too. We don't want so many that the important stories get lost.
FWIW, this is the exact conversation we have every night on the Daily Email Update. There are hundreds of stories each day. Part of our job is narrowing it down to the most important. And hitting the sweet spot between highlighting the big stories, yet still being comprehensive.
