Favorite and least favorite kids shows (1 Viewer)

I like:

Fineous and Ferb

Victorious

Gravity Falls

One I really loved but hasn't been on in years is The Weekenders.

I hate:

Adventure Time :wall:

Austin and Ally- near as I can tell there are only 2 episodes. The one where the blond kid who can't act likes the one girl and the one where he likes the other one.

Austin and Ally is terrible. My kids are more Good Luck Charlie fans. Dog with a Blog has a gay dad as far as I can tell. I mean he's flaming on that show. But in a typical marriage. I find myself thinking that this shows was supposed to be "My two dads" so they got the one gay dad and then some one thought, let's just change the other guy to a masculine woman. In no comedic value at all. Terrible show.

Don't know if this one's been mentioned yet, but for the kids who are a little bit older, there's The Amazing World of Gumball.

Sometimes a little too weird for me, but it often cracks me up. Funny stuff.

Oh what I would give to sit with my daughter again and watch episodes of Pete and Pete - best kids show ever

Adventure Time is still my favorite, but the new show on adult swim called Rick and Morty is a contender -- well its not really a kids show, but still, absolutely hilarious.

Pee-Wee's Playhouse - several seasons on netflix.

I like Fineas and Ferb and Fishhooks that are on a lot. Though my daughter also has most of the Disney sitcoms (which I hate) on all the time if F&F aren't on.

I like Wallykazaam. Bobgoblin is pretty entertaining.

Bobgoblin
There was an episode on last night that almost had me throwing the remote at the TV. God awful sounds emanating from some character. Holy moly.

My kids' rotation is typically Team Umizoomi, Little Einsteins... both on the educational side while entertaining.

still shocked Jack's Big Music show didn't have more of a run.

and still think Phin and Ferb is the best of the kids' shows.

Son loves anything Halloween related any time of year. He's been watching all the Halloween versions for Dreamworks and even some terrible Casper show about him going to school with Vampires and werewolves and ####. And every Scooby Doo, even the new one from 2010 that had some crazy ### story line too it.

Also watches Power Rangers, Avengers, Super Hero Squad, Justice League, XMen Evolution. He really likes the action shows but Netflix has SOOOOO much that he switches like every other day to something else.

Daughter watches Sofia, Lalaloopsey and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

And they both watch Jungle Junction because it's on before preschool. Someone was smoking some crazy stuff to think that one up.

Yo Gab, bubble guppies , pre school basics, MM club

Thomas the train a little. My favorite not so much for them.

SpongeBob, Cat in the Hat ( Martin Short does the voice), Phineas and Ferb, Thomas and Friends.Sid the Science Kid. Martha Speaks, Curious George.

I'm probably missing a show or two..

dislike

anything Disney - haven't they run out of options? everything is princesses who talk to animals or fish. and some cowgirl named Callie, with three rodents who sing every 2 minutes, like something out of 'Oh Brother where art Thou?'.

Disney does nothing for boys at all..Jake and the Pirates? c'mon now.

Little Einsteins is obnoxious.

Adventure Time is my favorite by far. It the show that gets banned when the kids are acting up though so I don't watch it very often.

My kids never got into sesame street which kind of sucked. I grew up on it. They always thought it was a show for babies so once they got to be about 4 they were done with it.

The one mainstay from birth until now (8yo and 6yo) is Curious George. They've always liked that.

They're into spongebob now. IMO it's OK. A little overrated. Characters just yelling at each other.

Our son is only 8 months old, so we're still in the "don't watch TV" phase...but honestly, there are times where it just helps, so ever now and then we watch some stuff with him. Mostly Nick Jr. shows, and occasionally Baby Einstein on the iPad if we're out and about and he's just unruly (very rare).

I have to admit my favorite stuff on Nick Jr. is Backyardigans. I just told my wife that I'd almost watch that show myself. Don't know why, but it's just a fun little show.

Really? I wonder which one it was. Not a single episode has driven me up a wall. They usually have a pretty good song in the middle of them, too.

And believe me, I'm very critical of these cartoons. Most are like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Girls 6 and 4. Current favorites

6 - Dog With a Blog, Odd Squad, Sofia the 1st

4 - Sofia the 1st, Doc McStuffins, Sherrif Callie

Not hating any of them so that's good. Thought Id never survive the Caillou phase.

Eta: I miss Backyardigans
