Cant let this all go without the greatest duo i ever heard sing together. JDSouther is simply the best harmony singer ever and Linnie Ronstadt is the best lead singer to harmonize with ever. They worked together off & on for many years and i believe he wrote this for the express purpose of them singing it together. Glorious.

I love the All the RoadRunning album by Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. There are lots of good songs on it. Here are several of the songs:

Beachcombing - Knopfler's signature guitar sound is in it, and the guitar and a mandolin weave nicely through the breezy melody.

Rollin' On - This is a somewhat moody piece. Emmylou's voice is really strong in it, and I love the instruments in the chorus.

Love and Happiness -  This is a very sweet song nicely sung by both.

This is Us - A fast number with them going back and forth

Donkey Town - One of Knopfler's storytelling songs.

Right Now - Nice slide guitar on this one

I Dug Up a Diamond - A moody slow burner

All The Roadrunning - Love the instruments in this one

If this is Goodbye - A solemn yet beautiful song based on messages sent by victims to loved ones during 911

There are three more songs on the album, but I reckon I'll stop here.    Anyway, All the Roadrunning is one of my favorite duet albums ever.  There's not a clunker on it.

Had never heard this before. Unlikely, but beautiful in its way. Thx for passing it along.

This is pretty awesome.  Today I jones a little less for my dream of a Lucinda Willams/Billie Joe Shaver duet.
