It's certainly speculation, but the timing would suggest it. Thanks for all the memories Brett!I wonder if Randy re-signing with NE had anything to do with this???
According the reports he made his decision a "few" days ago. I just think each year he had to put more and more work into it during the off season and it just got to be too much. I believe he still loves the 3 hours on Sundays but just grew tired of everything else. Thank you Brett....you will be missed dearly.I wonder if Randy re-signing with NE had anything to do with this???
listening to Dan Patrick he cited a report from Mort (i think?) stating that it's official.
just came over the wire.
great guy. great career. thanks for the memories.
I hear ya. He's still playing at a very high level, and the team is definitely in a championship window. Im surprised. There is almost no way to overstate what Favre has done. He's on the Mt. Rushmore of QBs, no doubt about it. Can't even imagine the feeling in the frozen tundra right now.Can someone help me find my jaw? It fell on the floor somewhere around here.
I highly doubt it. WR was not exactly a weak position for GB last year or a need going into this season.I wonder if Randy re-signing with NE had anything to do with this???
for Brett tonight. Thanks for some great seasons in GB.I know it pissed Brett off, but I can't imagine he would finally walk away from the game because of this.I wonder if Randy re-signing with NE had anything to do with this???

Strange timing to say the least given the overall condition of that team. I would expect this means that his body just can't take the wear and tear anymore.
Bon voyage. I actually think this helps Grants value. This will reduce the stat padding for Favre with cheap touchdowns on first and goal from the one play actions that the Packers have been notorious for throughout Favre's career.

lol lol lolJohn Madden has just been placed on a 24x7 suicide watch.
And for #4:![]()

Those big lanes that Favre opens up just got a lot smaller. There will be plenty of time to discuss fantasy impact later - but It ain't good. While Rodgers was impressive and running the O as well as or better than Favre in the Dallas game, man does he seem brittle. He promptly hurt himself in practice the next week!Whmever the Packers backup is (Nall? Martin? Dalton Bell?!?!) will see some action this year."Favre did some masterful work selecting cereal for his kids at the Hy-Vee yesterday..."What will Peter King write about now?
