Governor releases statement on Favre's 'return'

Green Bay - Governor Jim Doyle has just released this statement:

"Like all Packer fans, I am thrilled that Brett Favre will return to action next year for the green and gold. Brett Favre's tremendous work ethic and willingness to go out and play hard every day represent the true spirit of Wisconsin.

I am hopeful that with this announcement behind us, Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers can focus on the task at hand: defeating the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday and advancing to the National Football Conference Championship game.

I want to thank Brett Favre on behalf of Packer fans everywhere for his commitment to the Packers, Green Bay, and all of Wisconsin."

Somebody might want to inform Hizzoner that Favre hasn't said he's definitely returning. In fact, Favre said "this could be my last game in Green Bay."

We're waiting for reaction from President George Bush.

Exactly, thats why this was released.

Maybe this guy should worry about the damn budget instead of football. Do your job slacker!
If the republi-cons would stop blocking everything in Madison something could get done.
AMEN..Obama in 08!
For heaven's sake. Can't we escape this political stuff anywhere? Please don't piss in the shark pool. I can already predict about half the people who care are republicans and half are democrats.

So? You were OK with the budget this year???What a joke. Where is our tax freeze we were promised when we re-elected him????Oh, I suppose the Republicans blocked that one too. What a joke. #######' Scotty M was better than this hack.

Seeing as Doyle is famous for taking the line item veto to the extreme we may want to wait for the official memo from Favre.
