Why?
Get use to it. I just figure the Lineup Dominator for Friday, regardless.Great site tho.and this is different than weeks 1 & 2?
Yeah, that's how it is. I'm sure after years of hearing this, if there was anything they could do about it they would. Food for thought when it comes time to renew...The biggest and only..complaint I would have about FBG is getting the real info out sooner.Maybe it isn't reality but, I would like to see the offensive projections out no later than Tuesday and the LD done by Wed. at the latest.Who really cares about the updated depth charts, the data whatever, and the eyes of the guru?Great site tho.![]()
I wonder if people who complain have tried other services - I have and I'd rather get FBG's info a day late than any other service earlier. It's not really possible to get everything we do out earlier. We hit some bigtime snags the last two weeks on the Lineup Dominator that will hopefully be smoothed out which should have everything posted by 7-8 pm PT going forward. But that's as good as we can be to do the analysis the way we want to do it.Bottom line is a lot of our analysis takes time. I can't speak for what other sites do, but I think they mail a lot of the analysis in.- I spend 6 hours to simulate the games (Game Predictor).- I spend another 7 hours to create the weekly projections.- I then incorporate all of that with Bruce Henderson for the lineup dominator (another 90 minutes). The first real practice of the week happens on Thusday. This is the first time anyone that appears as questionable would even try and practice. To release things way before then would be guessing at a lot of injuries that have us constantly tweaking things. There is a reason no other sites do Top 200 forward lists, make their projections add up to reality, produce a LineUp Dominator, etc Those efforts personally kill me as I put in 16+ hour days on Wednesday and Thursday.I am not complaining here. I like what I do. But I would rather produce a quality product and do it right than hurry to release garbage. And to do these things right, they take a lot of time.
I want garbage now. At least it is quick. Oh yea, I am 0-8 in my four leagues so far this year.I am not complaining here. I like what I do. But I would rather produce a quality product and do it right than hurry to release garbage. And to do these things right, they take a lot of time.
Keep up the good work, the effort is appreciated by most.I like what I do. But I would rather produce a quality product and do it right than hurry to release garbage. And to do these things right, they take a lot of time.
Change thursday to friday and friday to saturday.Yeah, that's how it is. I'm sure after years of hearing this, if there was anything they could do about it they would. Food for thought when it comes time to renew...
Thanks. I have thick-skin. We know our schedule won't be for everyone. We have tweaked things (like adding the prelim cheatsheet on Wednesday) to try and keep everyone happy. But in the end, a lot of what we do takes time. and the latest products use inputs that we generated the day before. This is best illustrated by showing what goes into the Lineup DominatorI create the Top 200 Forward on Tuesday. Bob Henry uses this and my upgrade / downgrade report on Monday to generate Forward projections (the rest of the year). John Norton does the same for IDP. These come into me Thursday morning.I create Wednesday's Prelim cheatsheet by looking at Strength of Schedule, History, Matchup Data, Weather, Early Injury Report info, Depth Charts. I create the game predictor using these FBG products (Wednesday night injury report, Wednesday matchup data report that I do, Wednesday Players in the News, Weather Report, Wednesday Strength of Schedule). The Game Predictor then creates the surrounding shell that I fit my team projections to. I create the player projections from Thursday's Game Predictor, Thursday Blogger News, Updated Player Pages, Wednesday's Prelim Cheatsheet, Depth Charts, Wimer's Matchup Analysis, Herman's KickermaniaOnce all of these products are done plus I get the forward projections from Bob Henry and John Norton, Bruce and I can integrate everything to release the Lineup Dominator. There is a reason no one else has created such a program. I offer this solution for people:- For people that want projections sooner. The Lineup Dominator has projections for every week of the NFL. If you need a week 5 cheatsheet today, it can do that. Want to look at the players that should shine when your star has a bye in week 7? It can do that too. And it will actually be a decent list (especially as more games get played and the Strength of Schedule data becomes a great predictor of things).- The beauty of using the Lineup Dominator for these decisions is you can just keep getting the latest data. I change the projections as many as ten times the hours before the Sunday games as we find the real status on players. Press the get New Data and in seconds, you have the most accurate data tailored to your scoring situation.Keep up the good work, the effort is appreciated by most.I like what I do. Can we say dedication?...Wow - amazing how all of these processes are incorporated to blend in the most accurate projections one could dream of having prior to setting it's weekly lineup...Not wanting to preach for FBG - I highly doubt that any other site puts that much effort into helping its subscribers dominate their league... You can clearly see that the staff is living for FF (no one puts that much time in a weekly exercise if they don't like doing it) - and the simple fact that David is informing us of the process is noteworthyThanks. Interesting stuff here, but I thought the projections were derived directly from the game simulations? If you have all the data already, what do you do that takes 7 hours? Can you explain the process a little? Not criticising at all, just curious.- I spend 6 hours to simulate the games (Game Predictor).- I spend another 7 hours to create the weekly projections.- I then incorporate all of that with Bruce Henderson for the lineup dominator (another 90 minutes).
The first 6 hours (Game Predictor data) produces this kind of data only3nOut said:Interesting stuff here, but I thought the projections were derived directly from the game simulations?
