FBG Mock Draft '25 Completed with all 101 picks inside (3 Viewers)

The picks have been:
LAC 55 T.J. Sanders
SEA 56 Jared Wilson
CAR 57 Azareye'h Thomas
HOU 58 Wyatt Milum

I need to leave for work now so I’ll write more later. But going into the draft I wanted a corner, a receiver and an Edge with the first three picks. Traded for Tyreek, took Amos in the first, now we’ll take JT Tuimoloau, edge, the Ohio State

He seems to have a range of expectations, although that might be more due to the depth at edge this year. 2nd round seems to be the consensus. With some putting him in the third and at least one guy thinking he’s a top ten player (which is a stretch)

Tuimoloau broke into the Buckeyes’ starting lineup in 2022, and he naturally saw his production increase as a result. He finished the year with 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 11 tackles for a loss, and two interceptions.

His best game came against Penn State, where he became the first FBS player since 2000 with two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown in a single game. He ended the year with a first-team All-Big Ten nod.

Tuimoloau’s production took a huge leap in 2024, as he finished the year with 12.5 sacks, 22 tackles for a loss and 61 total tackles in 16 games. Not only did he continue his streak of being a first-team All-Big Ten member, but Ohio State ended up winning the College Football Playoff National Championship.

Tuimoloau has the length and frame needed to take blocks head-on at the NFL level. Though he projects best as a base 4-3 defensive end, he could project as a 3-4 outside linebacker if need be, too. He should be able to step into a key role for a team’s defensive line rotation right out of the gate.

There are some limitations with Tuimoloau, as his flexibility is pretty average for his position, and his long speed isn’t anything to write home about. His best bet to reach his potential is to improve his hand usage and work on his speed and counter abilities.

High floor, decent ceiling. He’ll fit right in with the bills immediately as a rotational piece and develop into more.

Was hoping to get Ersery or Milum here to build up the OL, but that will have to wait until later.

At pick 62, the Detroit Lions select Elic Ayomanor, WR Stanford

Tim Patrick was awesome for us last year, and I'm glad he's back, but he's got a pretty long injury history and we are very thin behind our starters at WR. Ayomanor is a big, physical X wide receiver who is great at intermediate and deep routes and can immediately help with the WR3 role. He's also a very good blocker, so will fit perfectly into the Lions' needs. I suspect that the Lion's cap money is going to run out by the time that Jamo's contract extension comes up, so we have a long-term need at WR2, which Ayomanor should be able to develop in to.

Big fan of this pick, and the logic that accompanies it. Jameson Williams is absolutely a guy who could fall through the extension cracks, and Ayomanor is a very good WR prospect in my opinion. I think he's a better pick than Ersery or especially Milum would have been.

I like him and think in other eras he would be much higher and have a 1st Round grade
He reminds me of when guys were normally 275 playing DE in a 4-3 and the league was more run focused

Washington selects EDGE Bradyn Swinson, LSU
You said it with such little fan fare. What stands out about Swinson is the 58 tackles that go with 8.5 sacks
Look around this area at other Edge/DE types, you won't see as much of that kind of activity, he's just as good if not better than 4-5 names that went before him at the position
Not sure why he isn't being discussed more, Day 2 sleeper for sure IMO

Nothing to add of substance to this thread but just had to poke at this sentence since OZ then went on to write a novel.
Will the “write more” version come in paperback as well? ;)

(Great stuff!)

🤔
So the edit an hour later was in fact the "more later"? I'm not saying that in a dubious or negative way. I just would have thought you meant like, later later, like after work.

Nah, just didn’t want to write while driving and needed to leave.

These writers lurk around here

And he's early on Rivers but that was going to be one of the guys I would say Miami is targeting and he seems to be flexible, a Grier must when he drafts OL
Miami could start him at LG, that spot is wide open right now
Prefer him at 115, 135 or 150/155

Washington St. WR Kyle Williams is visiting today with the Tennessee Titans. Williams was former teammates with Cam Ward, who is tracking to be Tennessee’s No. 1 overall pick. Tennesse’s OC Nick Holz was also Williams’ OC at UNLV. Now Williams could be in play to team up again with Ward and Holz.

70/1198/14TD as a Senior
843/6TD year prior when Ward was there
WRs are hard to find in this Draft, I'd say Williams is undervalued coming from Wash St
If he had those same numbers at an SEC school he would have been gone already

I was rushing out the door to get to jury duty this morning and threw that pick out quickly, mainly cuz I didn't want to leave you guys hanging. I'd been hoping Jack Sawyer would fall to me but Swinson is a nice consolation prize. He looks relentless, aggressive, nice hands and footwork and he's good against the run as you mentioned - just a solid all around player. I'm happy how it turned out but a little bummed that it's over now - we have no picks in round 3! I probably should've tried harder to trade down.

Pick 64 - Cameron Williams, OT, University of Texas

Not thrilled with the way that the draft has fallen (partly my own fault), but Williams seems like the highest-upside OL left and wouldn't mind seeing him tried at RG initially Becton-style, and eventually slide out to replace Lane Johnson. A mountain of a man. (Really wished I could have gotten Mbow)

Pick #65 - The Giants select OT. Ozzy Trapilo - Boston College.

Trapilo played both LT and RT in college, with the last 2 years played at RT, which is where the Giants would play him. His versatility is valuable for when Andrew Thomas inevitably gets injured, but otherwise they need an upgrade at RT. O-line is another position that Schoen has bizarrely neglected in the draft, having only drafted 4 of them total in 3 years. He has instead signed aging vets like Greg Van Roten, who they convinced not to retire. Upgrading at RT will have a positive ripple effect on the o-line because that would enable Eluemunor to move from RT to RG and allow Van Roten to be the primary interior line backup. That would upgrade RT, RG since Eluemunor is better than Van Roten at this point and with Van Roten's versatility, he would upgrade the primary backup for the interior line.

Carolina still wants to trade back into this round for someone OTC. Thinking this year's 4th and a future 2nd for what is currently end of the 2nd round is pretty solid.

Panthers offer to anyone OTC adjusted now - just moving up 10 spots (or fewer with each pick) - PM me if interested in moving down a little to get some future capital.

With the 3.03 (#67 overall) Jacksonville Jaguars select Edge Landon Jackson Arkansas

First-Team All-SEC Honors in 2023. In 2024 one of the SEC's most disruptive Defenders at 6'6" and 280 the only Razorback since 1997 to record multiple games with 8+ tackles, 3+ TFL's and 2+ sacks. He earned spots on the Nagurski Trophy, Chuck Bednarik Award and Lombardi Award watch lists before his season was cut short by injury to Mizzou.

Josh Hines-Allen & Travon Walker are the starters but Jackson should be a welcomed reliever.

Already taken.

ETA: Could've sworn. But nevermind I don't see him taken. I guess I was confusing him with Donovan Jackson, but that still doesn't make sense because they were both on my list originally and both are gone from the list. But anyway, my bad, and good pick.

You picked a guy who was picked, according to eighsse2. Not only that, you picked out of order. You're 67th. We're on #66
Yeah sorry that was my bad. Edited post.
