Just saw Any Given Sunday is on NF.
that would make for some "interesting" discussion

that would make for some "interesting" discussion So it's a biography of Mr.Ham?Watching Leave No Trace and it is definitely a social distancing movie. Like distancing yourself all the way out.
That’s a great ideaNetflix Party is a Chrome extension that synchronizes a chat channel to a Netflix stream. This might be the ticket for a FBG Movie Club real-time viewing party.
Right. Take a look at the movies on Netflix, what looks like a funny group watch? @KarmaPolice suggested Any Given Sunday since we are missing sports and Pacino is like a blue ribbon winning pig with the quality and quantity of ham he is able to put on screen. In if that comes to fruition.
I mean we could do a "sports" overacting and go Any Given Sunday + Rounders with Pacino and Malkovich going toe to toe.Right. I'd personally be interested in these. I loved the 30 for 30 series they did, which had one on Iverson, IIRC. The Two Escobars is actually one of the better sports docs I'd ever seen, and even though it was a 30 for 30 was a feature length.Docs like Beyond the Mat, Icarus, Team Foxcatcher, Iverson.
I will watch it this weekend and give you a score. Leave No Trace is definitely not a 10. It's sad but also there is hope and self discovery. It is not violent. Can someone who has seen Wendy and Lucy tell me on a scale of 1-10 how depressing it is?
If the dog dies or she is raped it is an automatic 10 for me.
* I really do want to watch this movie. I am just not sure if I can deal with real sadness right now. I could probably handle a 5 on the depression scale, maybe.

Somebody please let me know if a dog dies in either film.prosopis said:I will try to do it this weekend. I watched the trailer for Wendy and Lucy. I am a little worried it is going to be super sad. I expect some drama but I do not want to see something bad happen to the dog. I also don't want to see her be the victim of some piece of ####. Yeah, I just came up with all of that from the trailer. I will try to watch it and hope I am wrong.
Based on Wikkids review, sounds like it’s safe.Somebody please let me know if a dog dies in either film.
No dog dies in without a traceSomebody please let me know if a dog dies in either film.
Dog doesn't perish in W & L as near as I can recall. No dog dies in without a trace

Hopefully I got most of everyone who has chimed in here. Sports are gone and social lives will be on hold. I added a couple questions to the poll here seeing if spending some more time watching movies and talking about them here is something people are interested in? Stay healthy everyone.
Great to hear from you. Thanks for the well wishes and they are certainly returned to you tenfold.Heya, thanks for the shout out and well wishes.
Sorry that I'm late to the party.
Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to participate for a while. But, things are "ok" on my front - just busy.
Since I got nada on movies, I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is well. You are all on my mind.
I'll be back when things settle down here.

Sort of. It sounds fun, have you done it?Have y'all discussed a live watch party on Netflix?
Yes, I know the entire Lethal Weapon series will be added to Netflix on April 1stIF we ever did that, it has to be for something that's not usually our typical movie club fare, right? Talking during Wendy and Lucy is different than talking during Fast Five.
I am sure someone would send you a log-in. Hint hintOsaurus said:Don’t have Netflixor any other streaming service so not in for any sort of live event.
No. Let me know if you try it.Sort of. It sounds fun, have you done it?
This was probably brought up but Train to Busan is streaming. Its'a train movie and a killer virus outbreak movie! I might have to check it out.

i believe the director was using Wendy's "pounding the pavement" humsong as soundtrack there to get us into the transient mindspace at the base of the storyI will pose one question that is not a spoiler and has been bothering me.
In the opening scene Wendy and Lucy are walking and playing fetch with a stick. It is being filmed from the woods and the camera is keeping pace with them. You can hear someone humming a tune. The humming is loud and meant to be heard. It is not Wendy humming. I do think it was a women humming.
Who is humming?
Are we supposed to think someone is watching them from the woods?
I was a little surprised that this was never addressed at the time or later in the film.
That sounds reasonable.i believe the director was using Wendy's "pounding the pavement" humsong as soundtrack there to get us into the transient mindspace at the base of the story
I eagerly anticipate your insight on this onewikkidpissah said:I wish to live in a world which finds Leave No Trace as compelling as Infinity War. There's really not much more to say.
