FFA Diner - Open 24/7 - What'll Ya Have? (1 Viewer)

I'm going with eggs over easy here instead of scrambled. :)

One of my favorite things to do with breakfast is to mash up the over-easy eggs with the hashbrowns.  Heaven!

I'm in the mood for breakfast now...

3 eggs over medium, bacon (2 pieces at least), scattered hashbrowns...  a side of biscuits and sausage gravy (2 biscuits, if that's a double order so be it)...  I'll need the Chaloula bottle as well.  Black coffee to drink.

When I come back at lunch or dinner I'll just have the blue plate special...  as long as that blue plate still comes w/ a veg and mashed potatoes w/ gravy... and a yeast roll the size of a child's head.  Oh, and a slice of lemon meringue pie.

It's the crack of dawn, and the ham, cheese, and egg aren't symmetrical on the bun.

So I adjusted and pronounced it well done.

Do with that what thou wilt.

What I want: Corned beef hash with two over medium eggs on top, rye toast, coffee and a large glass of ice water.

What I had.  Oatmeal with walnuts.

Let me get 2 cows, make them cry/Wisconsin, keep off the grass, paint it red with frog sticks on wheels.

Thanks.

Not sure yet, but can we get a pitcher of screwdrivers while we look over the menu?
here ya go. ready to order?
funny- but I don't remember the NYC diners having booze when I first got here in the mid 80s. the ones that are left all seem to have full bars in play... not exactly where I'd be thinking about getting my drink on, but anything to make that crap food go down better...

Waverly Diner was the best for the cheap booze in the diner setting.

man, can't even begin to count the number of nights i made that my final stop (when i was d'town) ... just a remarkable jernt, prices were very reasonable across the board.

back up in my old 'hood, it was Market Diner, of course.  if I skipped the Waverley, then you could bet yer sweet ### i was parked at the Market.

really freakin' miss 'em  :(
