Buffalo Lightsabres has 11 back-up goalies, I'd start there.

Yea my team blows?? I thought I did alright for my first fantasy hockey foray in years. We'll see where I am when Forsberg and Lehtera are lighting #### up and Scrivens is a Vezina candidate.

My team has tanked but i blame it on Fanduel. The daily tourneys are taking up all of my fantasy time these days.

My team is awful and I blame it on me. Too much going on the last few months. Not sure if I can right the ship (but if I do, it won't be from accepting ####ty trade proposals).

do we need to revisit trade deadline here? Brasky complained about you dealing Crawford for Ovechkin when you are out of it. To me, it seemed like a reasonable deal given the pieces involved but I can see why he'd question it given the relative standings of the two teams involved. Also, isn't the guy you traded with here the same one that you invited to this league even though he's not an active FFA member? (He still owes his dues, btw).

Just want to get things out in the open here. I put all trades up to vote because I don't want to have to make veto decisions myself, but we can move the deadline up if that is what people want.

let me be very clear that I was not complaining. I don't really care if there is one or not, I was just surprised to see it considering we've had one in the past and the circumstances of the deal. players traded were fine. I was merely asking the question.

I think I generally pick the latest trade deadline that Yahoo offers by default, but not sure.

Yahoo league website says it was March 19th this year. Their trade was processed on the 21st but looks like it was accepted on the 18th at 11am.

when I got the email, I didn't really give it much thought as Ovechkin for Crawford looked like an overpayment. If the guy near the top was shipping out scrubs or something, then I'd have serious reservations about letting it pass. But, Ovechkin is a beast in this format so that's a steep price to pay imo.

not like there's unlimited roster space, so if someone wants to burn all those spots on one position, I don't see it as a big issue.

Try needing a goalie. Love the strategy, just sucks when you're looking for a goalie and every call up imaginable is picked up by the same team and they're carrying 8 goalies. Just seems a little excessive.

yeah, I'd agree it's a little excessive.

I pretty much had to give up on goalies after the Dubnyk trade killed off my Wild tandem.

I don't recall whether yahoo offers roster limits on a particular position. I kind of think they just let you pick how many bench spots each team gets and then it's up to the teams to use them accordingly.

FWIW, I was offered Ovechkin for Quick before that trade was completed. Though it probably made sense for me given my position in the standings in the impacted categories, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was unnecessarily compromising the way the top of the standings would shake out. To avoid those types of moral dilemmas in the future, I think we should probably consider a trade deadline.

I'm trying to finish out of the basement, that is why I made that trade. I do know the owner in question personally but I would have made that trade with anyone and it had nothing to do with me making that trade, not to mention I got the better end of the deal by far. It was within the rules so I really don't care what anyone thinks of it or my reasoning for making the trade. If you want to change the rules then have at it.

just addressing a concern that was raised, and wanted to open things up for discussion.

as I said, him dealing Ovechkin for just about any goalie is an overpayment so it's not a collusive trade by any means. But, maybe we should move up the deadline a bit in the future too. I'm fine with that.

No one was accusing you. No need to throw that BS at Rude. The discussion was centered around the rule and whether it needs changing next season.
