Has there ever been any consistency to what is a bannable offense?

I was banned for, "Holy ####! That is some Trump level stupidity."
Depends on the thread it was posted.

"I just voted for Trump" thread - not ban worthy.

"I just bought a Bryant boat!" thread - probably not going to fly here, guy.

It would be an easy programming exercise to make it so that upon reporting a post, the account of the person doing the reporting is put on timeout for 6 months.  Can we request this feature?

I was once banned for posting  :lmao:  in response to Smoo's explanation of a comment that got him banned three years earlier.

FWIW, bfred thinks it's funny to report political posts and request that they be moved to the non-existing politics subforum. We're all grown ups here I think. Let's act like it.
That just might be the funniest thing ever on this board.   Seriously,  this entire ordeal is worth it for that shtick.

Better than what?  Pointing out the truth?
It's not at all relevant, and it's not at all like having an alias.  I had to delete my General Tso account because people in here crossed the line, and I didn't want anyone to have the ability to search my account for personally identifiable information. I think you knew that.

Well...it's relevant to what was said.  No biggie.

Again we have to look into your heart for your words' true meaning.

Joe gave me a banning once for an obscenity in my profile page and I have never even put anything in my profile page.

That Fred, he's such a scamp. But he's an advocate and that's what advocates do.

If only there was an easy solution to this problem :banned:

Why do you want to perma-ban Fred?
I don't particularly, although his tilting at windmills over politics in the FFA is getting tiresome.

I took Aaron's messages as a warning not to antagonize the mods, not only to bfred, but to other profligate users of the report button as well.

Finally, I though it funny that the "solution" already had an emoji  - even if the use of it differs greatly from its spelling

You know where people would really enjoy this hot take?

  I had 3 or 4 bannings during the months leading up to the election. Right around the time when there was a certain group abusing the report function. It would have been nice for the rest of us to see this.
A certain group of obvious aliases

Joe tells people to use the report button. Aaron tells people to stop using it.

Magaw bans people for  :lmao: .  Dodds lets it go when Bruce tells him "#### you, you ####### #######".

Looks like Joe and David need to decide what their rules are and have them applied consistently by the mods they choose.

Letting it go is an odd way of putting it given how many threads have been nuked in that tantrum.

It would be great to hear from Joe.  If we cannot get a response about the actual site content, I doubt we'll get one here.

Yeah, whatever.  We know who you are.
Everything I said in that post was accurate.

When you say "we", who is included in that collective?  You wrote a pronoun without an antecedent, and I don't want there to be confusion about what your words mean.

Over 99% of the posts I've made here over the last three years have been under this username.  By the definition you used for yourself, this username is no more or less an alias than Higgs is.  If you're such a special snowflake you need your own rules, so be it.

I have no idea what you are talking about.  It's clear you don't like me, and to be honest the feeling is mutual.  Why don't we both do the Board a favor and put each other on ignore?

As a woman, and as a woman who dates women... I've never seen any female ##### whine and complain as much as you.

You accused me of being an alias, and some "we" knows who I "really" am.

I'm saying this username is no more an alias than your username is, and you took great exception when called an alias-user earlier.

I'm trying to find out if the rules you set for me are the same as the rules you set for yourself.

:lmao:

I've never seen someone be wrong as often as you yet convinced you're right.  There wasn't one single "whine" in that post. It was stating facts and then offering my opinion.  In case you've forgotten, this is a thread about moderation.  I posted about moderation. Perhaps you should find the thread about whining for your thoughts?  Or at least realize what thread you're in before you come in lobbing more and more insults?

Yeah, I'm really not interested in arguing with you anymore Bruce.  I'm putting you on ignore, and I'd ask that you do the same.  We just aren't clicking.
