FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

Can I get some Cliffs Huxtable notes on this Otis/Cav thing?
I think Worm summed it up pretty well.

Cav offered to play HU for $3k and no less. He didn't want to play a lot of games for smaller stakes.

After much back and forth, they eventually played for $1.5k.

Cav won when his KQ took out AK.

Otis wanted a rematch and Cav just told him to pay up.

Otis paid him but called him a sore winner for not agreeing to a rematch afterwards.

Cav got sick of the complaining so sent back the $1.5k.

After a few hours, I think they cooled down and agreed to play for $750. Otis won that match.

I'm real happy to go out and donk off $10 in these donkuments. I'm also happy to play in the occasion semi serious $50-$100 match with anyone on here. That being said Nobody should be playing for those types of stakes "on here". Nothing good is going to come from that.

Agree with this... but gotta admit playing in the normal tourneys with these guys while all this was going on was pretty entertaining. 3K or nothing :lmao:

So basically Otis lost a 1500 game and won a 750 game and came out 750 ahead :lmao:

Hopefully Otis at least called it a wash when he won game 2.

Cav should've just kept the money. I've heard that bad beats like this do happen from time to time.
The last hand was a bad beat of sorts...but Cav was already up 2-1 on him and he outplayed him the entire match (I watched it :scared: ). Getting all your chips in H2H with KQ up 2-1 isn't the worst i've seen.

Having it unfold in front of us was fantastic. No way I personally give the money back, but then again I play for 50 cents/game.

Heat getting points looks like fun.

US Open props. Tiger finish position under 8.5 -120. Don't want to bet on him to win at this point at 4/1. If he has a bad thursday/friday, we should get better than that. Taking him under 8.5 a semi hedge if he busts out early. Lefty finishing position under 22.5. -135. With his short game, he should be in it til the end, not to mention all his runnerups. Awfully chalky, but those par threes look like ballbusters. No hole in one -200. I'll probably play some matchups too, haven't looked at them much. Players i have to win so far:

Gramme

Scott

Furyk

Stricker

Paddy

Cabrera

Chapell

Thinking of playing the Rory,Lee, Justin threesome for 6/1 against the field.

Got burned on the Cubbies yesterday, but I'm going in for more. Garza has been nails at Wrigley throughout his career (10-6, 2.37), and while I don't dislike Cingrani too terribly, he 1) has given up five dingers his last three starts, and 2) being a young strikeout pitcher isn't known for going late into games. When that happens he will give way to a bullpen that is the proud owner of an 11.78 ERA over the past week.

Cubs +123

Giants +118

Marlins Even

What do you guys like about the Chi Sox?
Wang has been meh in AAA, his strand rate is through the roof. 57 hits thru 58 innings. Quintana has pitched fairly well but gets no run support. Like that to change tonight. What the heck do I know?

I'll bet Furyk when he changes sponsors from 5 hour energy to Xanax and Jack Daniels.

I spent two years studying the story of the Nisei before writing my novel. I've always believed that bigotry and fear is caused by ignorance, and everything I learned confirmed this. The American public, specifically those living in California and other west coast states, didn't know Japanese-Americans, and believed the worst stereotypes about them (mostly spread by the Hearst papers.) Contrast that with Hawaii, where the Nisei had been allowed to interact with the rest of the population, mostly thanks to sports- the Japanese in Hawaii were not interned.I bring this up because I believe strongly that if we had the sort of information access society we have today back in the early 1940s, the internment never would have taken place. The technology, far from being more threatening, is actually liberating. Rather than enabling government to perpetrate these sorts of crimes, it prevents them from taking place. (For instance, the actual internment of the NIsei in Los Angles took place in the middle of the night- the internees were rounded up and sent to the Santa Anita Race track which had been closed down for the war, and held in horse stalls before being sent by train to desolate areas where the camps were. Like Nazi Germany, all of this was done in secret. If the government tried it today it would be all over the internet within a few hours.)

Tim fishes everyone in the FFA and now we get his works in here also? Should I start fighting with someone again? Hey Got_Nugs>do you use a whole bottle of Palmolive to wash those bear paws of yours? :boxing:

Yeah, wishing I had hedged on the Spurs now. <_<

It's not even far-fetched to suggest that this series might not get back to Miami.

I won't comment on the series, but it is very unlikely Miami loses the next two. They are a very talented team who often plays with no urgency. They responded with a huge win in game 7 vs Indiana and a huge win in game 2 vs. the Spurs. I think they come out with fire in game 4.

Pretty sure Addison Reed just grooved a fastball to Joey Bats at 1-2, with 2 outs in the 9th.
Yeah and then the Jays get the go-ahead run in the 10th on a ####### wild pitch. oof
I have really gained a passionate hate for the White Sox through gambling.
I've hated them since about the time I learned to walk, maybe a few weeks after. I had Chicago cousins and I broke one of their White Sox batting helmets when I was 8 or 9 and got in trouble for it. I still think I was in the right there.

Not a good day today, we move on.

Braves/Cards ML parlay +192 tomorrow

Have some total leans but I'm distracted by this Doyers/Snakes fight and will have to look at those a little more tomorrow.

Verlander -125 tomorrow? Huh?
I'm seeing -135. Despite his record, Shields has pitched well, pretty much a guarantee to go 7 strong, they haven't scored any runs for him.DD, I am going to absolutely hammer the Braves tomorrow. NFW they get swept by the Pods. NFW!!! :)

I have a co-worker who likes them for some unknown reason, I'm going to punch him in the face in roughly 6 hours.
That's the spirit!!!!!!
