FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

The Padres have been held to three runs or less in six straight, and have hit .199 L10 vs. righties. Stults has given up 2 ER in 16 IP vs the Rocks this year, including 1 ER in 7 IP @ Coors on June 8.

Well, at least we won't have to sweat the game out.

This post is from the golf thread....who does it remind you of?

Never played more than 36 in a day and all were college tournament rounds and the PAT. Maybe once or twice on blackout bender trips in college.

My short game as been completely ridiculous the last two times out. You know you're doing something when the professionals (these guys actually are good) go from "good shot" to "that was a really good shot" to silence. One of them was with me the last time and walking back into the shop today commented to the guy behind the counter that I had apparently taken up black magic. Heh. Didn't shoot a number, but it was still fun. Thinking back, I'm pretty sure I got up and down every time and didn't have a three putt. If you knew these green complexes, you'd understand that's pretty not bad.

This is true. They can still bail me out in the desert I guess.

pretty sure it will hit for you. I bought out of both plays. For some reason baseball is giving me a whooping this week. F'n Tigers taking on the sad sack White Sox isn't helping at all, one thing i hate about baseball is when a team gets a ton more hits then the other team, yet still is losing the game.

Yup. Downward spiral since the all star break here. We need more preseason football, and I can't believe I just typed that.

Baring Bron coming down with da aids, Heat +280 is a buy no? I mean we were happy to pay -140 with only a few months into the season last year.

The White Sox won last night. They might have a few 2 game win streaks this yr and perhaps even a couple of 3's. Martingale the Tigers, they will win one in chicago....guaranteed. To win 1 unit ML and wagering 1 unit on the RL. :moneybag:
Sticking to the play. Why would i put the word guaranteed in anything gambling related??? I kick myself in the nards for punishment. Tigers -150 for 1/2 rack of lamb.

I think there's some value here, but I wouldn't back up the Truck on this. Let's say the East finishes MIA, BKN, IND, CHI. The Bulls probably can't beat them, but with Rose ("If he's back by then", RN snickers) they can take Miami deep. Then Brooklyn, then the Rockets/Thunder/Clips in the finals. If you don't mind tying up a couple bucks for almost a year and want a rooting interest in the playoffs, I'd say go for it. But it's definitely a 1u bet IMO.

Sounds like MarshallPlan. It probably isnt him, but gotta be related.

The Blue Jays are 9-9 v LHP at home. Since May they are 7-5 v LHP at home with an average of 7.0 runs scored on 11.3 hits and 1.48K/BB.

Chain,

A) Why did JJohnson look like it was 2009 again?
Dude, I didn't even watch the game and I have no idea. You nailed the line movement though. You nailed that #### for sure. My tin-foil hat conspiracy theory is that Felix was pissed with the lack of run support shown to him and Iwakuma and just said #### it. ESPN said it was the second time this season Johnson didn't allow a run and, "It was just a small little adjustment I made and it made a world of difference," Johnson said.

Possible. Felix pitched a gem on 8/1 @ Boston (7 INN, 6H, 1ER, 2BB, 8 SO) and left with a 7-1 lead. Pen blows in the 9th giving up 6, losing 8-7. That can't make you happy with your teammates either.

Reminds of MadBum from SF last year in the World Series. He really struggled to finish the season, they watched some video and fixed a minor thing in his windup. In game 2, he gave up only 2 hits in 7 innings. Might be value in Johnson going forward if he is finally back.
Headed back to the DL. I guess he left it all on the field in Seattle.

Opening week CFB. Round robin teaser by 3's, 4's, and 5.

Vatech +24.5 vs. Bama

FSU -4 over Pitt

Ok St. -6.5 over Miss st.

South Carolina -5 over North Carolina

Nebraska -22 over Wyoming.

lol

Thanks for the Dodgers plays the last few nights. Every aspect of their game is on fire right now.

Jays o4 -120
IN

Also, in his last 22 innings Lincecum has only allowed 3 ER on 11 hits and 4 walks

SF +142 - seems worth it at this price

added: Bos/Tor O 9.5 -105: Not only is this a great trend favoring the Tor over, but Rogers is just back in the rotation after being demoted and sporting an ERA north of 5. I'll take my chances with the over here.

Just lost 900 in one hand with a Kings over Aces full house in hold Em. 6 days left here. Currently looking for flights back to Philly tonight #vegasupdate

Ya brutal. But just one of those hands that happen once in a great while that you just have to laugh over. Kinda had the tables jaw on the felt. Pretty sick loss. We move on.

Have you gone to Cheetahs or any other places like that yet? Might be time for a gambling distraction of some sorts. Hell, go to a topless pool somewhere.

I'm watching the white sox/tigers game now and they showed this classic from the past. Always worth a chuckle.

How on mother earth is there not a Dodgers thread in the baseball forum.
I got them at 18-1 to win the WS and I love it right now. Whoever started that thread in the FFA is going to be given a ton of propers when they blow through the NL in the playoffs
The Dodgers are 40-10 in their last 50 games. The last NL team with a 50-game stretch this good was the 1975 Reds, who went on to win World Series.

Sorry GB. Variance sucks. If it makes you feel any better I just got donkey punched for $600 as well.

Be carefull with Gee tonight... He sucked at the start of the year but his last two months have been very good.

A source tells NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that Tom Brady's left knee injury "(isn't) serious."
CBS Boston — which isn't a typical Rotoworld source — is reporting Brady has been diagnosed with a sprain, which could mean almost anything. Nevertheless, the emerging consensus appears to be that the Patriots have dodged a bullet. We might not get official word from the team until Thursday. For now, Brady should be considered highly unlikely to play in Friday's game against the Bucs.

Capuano has only gone over 89.5 pitchers twice in his last 8 starts... and both times were exactly 90. I'm gong under.

D Price went over 5.5K's only twice since his return (8 starts) from the DL. You can get under 5.5 at +140. i'm going under.

Mets are actually 13-6 v LHP away. And they average 4.8 runs in those games. Dodgers are 4-4 SU in Capuano starts at home with 6.4 average runs allowed to opponents. Take away a 16 run outing by the Phillies versus Capuano on 6/28 and the average is still 5.0 runs per game allowed in Capuano starts at home. The ####ed up thing is that umpire Eric Cooper is 16-6-1 O/U this season and 0-5 his last 5. Away teams are averaging exactly 3.0 runs in his games since June. I am thinking of hitting the Mets o3 110 but havent decided yet. Im going to watch the line and see if it goes anywhere. You know the Mets are pent up and the lefty tonight will be a lot easier for them to hit than yesterday.

The under 5.5 K's by Price loses because the outfielder loses the ball in the lights for the 3rd out with Price near 100 pitches. He strikes out the next guy. :wall:
