FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (10 Viewers)

moral is don't tease anything more than a 2 teamer at RB
Disagree

RB has good teaser odds for football, even with the crappy push rule it's still better to tease football there.

I'm not aware of teasers being good bets in any other sport. Maybe there are certain spots in other sports where they are good bets but I doubt it.

anyone used western unions website?

SB says they'll cover the fees
Yes its really easy and quick
Good lord, I have 3 different CC fraud departments calling me now about a block on my card :bag:

Guess I won't be getting that bonus today
If you have a card tied to your bank account I'd use that. If you use a CC it's treated as a cash advance and usually you'll get hit with fees from the CC company on that and like you found out all kinds of inquiries. When I first used WU maybe 6 years ago I was depositing $2500 with a CC....Not only did the CC company crawl up my ###, I was on the phone with WU for almost an hour answering all kinds of questions, it was a HUGE pain in the ###.

5dimes has the field -410 vs tiger woods at the farmers insurance open

Field ALL DAY LONG
Couple of chalk mathups I like. Only 15 minutes to tee time. Stuard over Steele -145 and Woodland over Laird -145. To win .5 unit each and .5 unit parlay paying 1.8/1

RB had Woodland -135 so i played an additional to win 1/2 unit.

TF> Do you have online account access for these cards and/or text alerts setup? I've used 2 Chase cards several times lately and received either a text or email instantly alerting me to the possible activity which was denied. I approve it and resubmit with no issues. No phone calls.

No, but I'll look into it

I'm sitting on that wawrinka 50/1 future. Nadal is -500. Any thought that Stan can beat nadal? It was only a $50 bet initially.

The first forecast for Super Bowl Sunday has been released, and it's currently calling for a high of 35 degrees and a 30 percent chance of snow.
According to Weather.com, snow showers are possible and temperatures will range from 25 to 35 degrees. The Broncos and Seahawks will kick off at 6:30 PM ET, so they'd likely be playing in temperatures in the 20s. Wind isn't expected to be a factor; it's projected to be blowing around 8 MPH. Of course, we're ten days away from the big game, which leaves plenty of time for change. The NFL has previously said that if a winter storm is expected, the game could be moved to Saturday, Monday, or Tuesday. Worst-case scenario would be for Super Bowl to be pushed back to February 9. We're not at that point.

He can definitely win. Nadal has the blister issue. Nadal dominates him all time though. I'm kicking myself in the ### because you even asked me "what about Stan?"

He's our thread favorite and won us quite a few bets last year, I say ride it out.

I think that was me that asked and then didn't play him

Snow during the super bowl would be ####### awesome

Yeah, that would be great. The SB always seems somewhat anti-climactic after you have a couple of brutal CCG's, and then a SB played in a gigantic, anti-septic climate-controlled dome.

I hope they don't move it, that would be a ####### shame. Football's meant for the cold.

So, I think I'm going to sign up at GT Bets, and they offer the following promo. "You will receive a free half-point on your two favorite team NFL and NBA teams during the regular season, and a free full point on you two favorite college football and basketball teams."

Is there any real strategy here in picking these teams? I would assume you wouldn't want to pick dominant teams like the Heat or Alabama since the extra points wouldn't often mean much to their normal spreads. Anything else to consider?

Moving it would be a freaking PR disaster for the NFL. It's probably worth a thread itself, but the NFL is on a very slippery slope and there is probably a tipping point coming IMO. The NFL thinks it's bigger than life and that they can do no harm. While this is true to an extent, I think a "straw that broke the camel's back is coming".

I'm probably about as die hard of a fan as there is...been playing FF since I was a kid, gambling on every game, etc. But here are a few "larger than life" moves that I see Goodell doing that will eventually piss of the fan base.

1. Thursday night games - at first, I was "this is awesome"....but now, it just means that I have to do all of my FF research 2 days earlier now.

2. Not balancing the Sunday afternoon games - people are shelling out $ for direct TV and red zone, and often times there are only 2 late games

3. Dicking around with moving the super bowl. Absolutely stupid in my opinion. People make huge plans, etc. Would be a disaster. Obviously I'd still watch it, but no way it would be the same

4. Going overseas, adding 2 extra games and still saying they are "player safety advocates" - complete BS and we all know it

They don't allow customers from certain states(like NY) so check to make sure you can sign up. I went thru the process of getting an account setup and when I went to deposit was informed they don't accept NY residents.

That point is going to make more of a difference in lower-scoring games, obviously. I would think you want something like the Seahawks and the Florida Gators?

I can't see them moving the game for anything less than a blizzard.

That line on Yeldon is on it's face laughable. Not a chance he wins the Heisman next year. He may not even start and at the very best he will split 60/40 with Henry.

Gordon 16/1 is a nice pick. He will have video game numbers.

I hate to say it, but I like the odds on Gurley.

As far as trends go on the SB, I just saw a stat that Denver and Seattle, combined O/U in both of their respective last 6 games each, is 11-1.

Strongly considering it at 47, combined with the intangibles with the weather. That can only help.

The Broncos hit 8 overs to start the season and went 3-7 to the over after that (0-5 L5). Four of those L5 games they held the Pats, Chargers, Raiders and Texans to a combined 60 points (15 ppg). And the first under in those L5 was the loss at home to the Chargers 20-27.

Seahawks games on the season are 6-11-1 O/U. Since December, Seahawks games are 0-6-1 with an average opponent score of 12.0 points per game. Five of those games were in Seattle.

Even without the weather, Seattle has had a less than stellar offense recently & their defense matches up pretty good against Denver.

I'm on the internet - in a plane. This is so awesome!

When I traveled for work all the time up until about 2 years ago, it was always international, so it's been a solid 4-5 years since I've been on a domestic flight, personal or work. Sorry if this is old hat now, and I'm easily amused, but this is so awesome vs. the days before in-flight wi-fi.

Oh, this trick works perfectly, already executed a 2x Jack and Coke with the 3-1-1 rule, not even an eyelash batted at security: http://www.economist.com/blogs/gulliver/2012/01/alcohol

Cool, I used to collect mini-bottles.

At first they were all full & sealed and then somehow they all became empty. :(

Not available in Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New York State, Oregon, and Washington State.
I'm in GA so not an issue there. After signing up but not depositing for a few days, they emailed me a bonus offer of 100% (cash, not freeplay) up to $500. Rollover is 10x bonus+deposit.

after a little work on the phone got this reload from betdsi

deposit 2k

600 casino bonus

700 freeplay 8x rollover
What's the rollover like on the casino portion?
12k rollover for each 300 bonus....they told me max bonus was 300 so I made 2 deposits and got 300 for each one. Then you get to play blackjack with just the bonus money. Nice thing was I busted out on the first 300 so that rollover goes away and on the second 300 I ran it up to over 1k so now I'm just grinding out the 12k rollover on the second bonus

I like the under 32 degrees at kickoff. One of the weather services I use at work (i am a natural gas trader) shows NYC Feb 2 temps at 34/27. day before and day after are 33/19 and 33/26 respectively. Too far out to get an hourly forecast, but i would guess the high of the day would be earlier than kickoff.
