FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (8 Viewers)

that was the strangest 1:45 of NFL i can remember. Funny thing is Pitt should still be getting crushed, just almost pure dumb luck with all of it.

In on PIT ml

:terribletowel:
I DL'd the album in your avatar last week and listened to it in my car all day. It was new to me. What is up with their long intros. And when did you stop fading my trends1?

1. situational capping scenarios
lol, yea very long intros. Some people like em some people don't. That's their "art" i suppose.

was at their concert once with a friend (nuggs...this was AJ) and during one of their long intros, i look over and AJ is passed out snoring....snoring at a tool concert.
I remember laughing about this in .... um....that chat that shall not be named lest my photograph avatar begins to take on new meaning. I'm still very pissed off at Tool for not putting their albums on spotify. Aenima is SO good.

I have the Steelers TT over 28 +185ish. Thought that was a waste of money about, say, 3 minutes ago.

Aaron,

thoughts on

Watt 5.5

Timmons 8

Polamalu 5.5

?
Pit crew is pretty neutral (1.16 tackles/opp) so no real edge there. Games there have typically ranked high in tackle opportunities though so my general lean would be slightly towards overs.

That's a big number for Watt, but I can't go against him on MNF.

Timmons I'd lean over due to Foster matchup, but he's a bit inconsistent.

I generally lean under for Polamalu but according to PFF, he's playing in the box 75% of the time and doing pretty well in run defense so I wouldn't be shocked if he went over here.

not really seeing a big edge for any of those.
Appreciate it

Polamalu caught my eye as it just seems he is all over the place on MNF games
yeah mostly jumping offsides
Nailed it!

re: Mosley DROY future

Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley was the 17th overall player taken in this year's draft. Six games into the season, he is No. 1 among all rookies, according to ESPN's Mel Kiper.

For the second straight time, Kiper has Mosley atop of his rookie rankings. He is ahead of San Diego Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett and Cleveland Browns guard Joel Bitonio.

This is what Kiper had to say about Mosley:

"He's playing a position where we've seen some guys transition quickly, but Mosley isn't just playing well. I'd say he's been one of the top dozen or so linebackers in the NFL to this point, and has filled a crucial role for the Ravens."

Mosley's 55 tackles lead all rookies and rank No. 6 in the NFL. He is the only defender in the league to post at least 50 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.

Dude I went to the strip club last night. And then called my number three before I left. I took my shoes off ouside last night. They're on the porch with my socks. I don't remember doing that. Number three is in the shower right now. My luxurious shower. I paid three hundred for drinks last night and had sex this morning for free. Also, the stripper had a vaporizer in her purse. A little blueberry yum yum. Never thought it could'a make me feel this good. It's got me singing melodies I never thought I would. I feel sory for the homies who be smoking wood.

When I was waiting for my cab outside the club last night my waitress came out and told me that I still owed Kelly fifty dollars. Instead of arguing I just pulled a fifty dollar bill out of my pocket and gave it to her. It is a questionable action now that I think about it. And how the hell I got engaged in a "pay you later" situation with a dancer I still don't know. All I can say is that I don't regret anything and thank you bank teller Johnathan for getting creative with my cash withdrawl when I said large bills.

I don't think the royals sweep bet, plus i think all the pitching matchups will be pretty even. so tonight, i am taking madbum. if he loses 2x be the next game, if they lose 3x bet the follwing game.

if the royals sweep, i will lose my shirt.

Of course it's subjective, but I question a lot of the rankings from Kiper on this, seems like he's out of his realm here. If the award was given today I'd vote 1) Mosley, 2) Fuller, 3) Barr. Admittedly, my vote is based alot on basic statistics and Kiper's may be based on more advanced metrics but I definitely don't have Verrett over Fuller, Barr, and Mack. Or an offensive lineman as 3 of the top 4 offensive rookies, although what Martin and Dallas are doing on the ground is great. Mosley should have a great opportunity to compile 8-10+ tackles in Cincy this week. They're calling Fuller day-to-day, it would help the cause if he'd take a couple weeks off but I wouldn't count on it. Both Barr and Mack gained a bit of ground last week I'd say.

Verett is rated very highly by PFF (#4 CB overall), but he has only 133 snaps compared to 222 for Fuller. Plus, Verett only has 1 INT and I don't think he's getting much attention so it's a little surprising to see Kiper have him rated so highly.

Just perusing through PFF's ratings right now, here are some rookies that rate very highly.

OLB Anthony Barr (#10 4-3 OLB)

OLB Khalil Mack (#2 3-4 OLB)

OLB Aaron Lynch (#17 3-4 OLB)

ILB C.J. Mosley (#3 ILB)

DT Aaron Donald (#1 DT)

S Calvin Pryor (#20 S)

S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (#30 S)

I think Fuller is slipping, and now he has to deal with a broken hand and hip injury.

Seems like the race may come down to Mosley and Barr. Donald wasn't getting a lot of playing time early and hasn't piled up many impressive stats yet. Mack is playing well but it doesn't always show up in the box scores, which hurts him I think. Possible Clinton-Dix could make a run with more splash plays in Green Bay.

Oh yeah Bender... lets see you beat this Zelda II run...

(and yes i did just watch all of this)

:nerd:
Can't view youtube at work - this projn or feasel?
Lol.... feasel. He runs a 1:16 for a cancer fundraiser last year. Then he does a great palace hack that just boggles the mind.

It's amazing to me that 20 odd years later there are guys who are looking at the code of these games looking to "break" these games that were made to take 2-3 days of game time and break them down to 1 hour of play.

MQJ, I hope you land that teal sweater and white pants by the 31st bro.
Purchases made on Friday. Got the teal sweater at Old Navy (this is a one-and-done purchase so quality is a non-factor) and white linen pants at Macy's on clearance.

Just waiting on the mask at this point.

Do you guys remember when Elaine said, "I'm speaking at a womens' conference," so she couldn't be there. I love that. Anytime you can't be somewhere, "I'm speaking at a mens' conference." Works every time. I am speaking at a mens' luncheon.

In fairness to Kiper, he is ranking rookies for their play on the field, which isn't necessarily the same thing as ROY rankings. We all know that if OROY was voted on today that 3 of the top 4 guys probably would not be OL. I feel the same way as you do on Mosley and Barr. Aside from stats, Mosley has an edge in 2 major components. Media/hype (Baby Ray), and Baltimore's defense is playing well (#1 in points against) and they are winning. Barr is part of the mess that is Minnesota, and unless his stats are superior, he won't win a race with Mosley.

I'm not gonna pay $200 to maybe get a ####### near the dinosaur exhibit.

5D has some high school lines up for this week.
I read an article on this, Tony said if a HS game is on TV, they'll make a line for it as there's enough customer demand for it. They get an extra 10 cents juice and it's a go. I'd do this if I still had DirecTV and got these channels in the sports package. If a local SE PA team pops up there and the game's on, I'd be in.

I'm a Charger homer, and I'm throwing two notes on the Donkey's -7. Verrett and Flowers are probably out. Shareece Wright can hit but can't cover, and Richard Marshall is awful.

Chargers are going to get hammered. :bag:

Can we talk some Survivor Pool in here

1 of 60 left out of a total 557 entries (RN's friend's pool)

Used: Det, Den, Atl (thank god I got this out of the way), SD, Phi, Ari, GB (last week thank god I avoided the SEA)

I like to play home teams in NON Divisional games only...

That leaves

Cleveland

New Orleans

Tampa Bay

That's it.

Gotta go Cleveland here I assume?
