FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (17 Viewers)

Mike Pineda just made it out of the first inning vs Texas with Two K's and a weak groundout. Guess he would be the ace in Boston this year.

Edit - Wrong topic - point still stands though. He might be a good value early in the year.

He looked good, but he seems to have run out of gas at about 70 pitches.

Another 1-1 day. 7-7 this year +0.14 units.

My biggest card of the year so far today.

Arizona +155

Mets +125

Angels -110

Tex/Sea Under 8

Leaning

Angels/Rays U7.5 - but not a play as of now.

Is it me or does it seem like the Raptors play over the total every night?
I think the coach has a rule they they can't practice or play defense in a game. If anyone caught playing defense, i think they get fined.

Anyone want to start some Derby talk? (new 2011 pony thread?) Little over a month away.

Wondering who Borel will be riding. Thinking about sprinkling some futures on the possibilities.

Elite Alex +3500

Brethren +2500

Stay Thirsty +2000

Should have more info after this weekend, but the prices are sure to drop.

i'm not really a fan of the future wagering considering you might be betting on a horse that might not even make the fieldif Alex makes the Derby i might include him on some wagers just because i think that race sets up well for closers, but as of right now he's going to need a big day in Arkansas Derby to get in Graded Earnings

not really a fan of either of those horses

Nehro is a darkhorse i like...not sure he'll be getting in either

come Derby Day i'll probably be betting heavy on Dialed In, although a lot can change in the next month
ya, the risk is there. But so are the prices :excited:

Yeah, echo all the BMJ back slapping. Made a few bucks off his picks this winter.Going to Vegas on Saturday and will be looking for baseball angles to some degree. Someone get hot please! NHL playoffs start next week. :pickle:
Play all home underdogs, April is a very good month for home dogs
Wow, good call. I did this yesterday. I figured I don't know baseball, and don't even want to watch it, so I just took all the home dog money lines. I didn't even look at who I took, so I didn't have to feel the urge to check the scores. Royals(KansasCity) +107 Indians(Cleveland) +150 Padres(SanDiego) +114 3-0 yesterday.

Anyone?
If you believe in the power of strange dreams, Hunter Mahan is as going to win this thing.

It's historically very strong in April and break even from May-Aug....I avoid the home dogs facing top notch pitchers(SDG vs timmaaay and Balt vs verlander)For me CLE is the only qualifier todayETA: mil might get there

Masters:

Bubba Watson -145 vs. Graeme McDowell

Nick Watney -165 vs. Martin Kaymer

Matt Kuchar +3500

Bubba Watson +4000

Ian Poulter +5000

Hunter Mahan +3000

In the bracket draft I was one of the big losers, which kinda sucks because my strategy was spot on. I was convinced the dogs were the way to go/pick, which I did. I just picked the wrong ones. :bag: That is a great draft, by the way, I'm telling you. WAY better than these overrated, fill out your bracket, take the favorites, boring in the end, never win because some secretary gets lucky drafts. GREAT format which has turned into my favorite March Madness betting thing.

Marlon Byrd dives for a ball in CF hit by Chris Young. Gets by him... Young comes all the way home.

Seattle makes error after error behind King Felix.

Last yr I blindly bet all overs on finishing position of all the golfers listed on the sportsbook masters props page. I think it went 7-3 or something like that. There are nine of them listed this yr, trying it again for 1/2 unit plays.

I like Bubba but his wildness scares me on a narrow course like this with lots o' trees. Some of the shots he is able to make on courses with an open layout are amazing - he will have to be perfect at the Masters to shoot well.Just a warning - I have no idea about McDowells game so that may very well be a great bet.

It's kind of a double-edged bet: Primarily fading McDowell at Augusta, but also Bubba's got a little Phil in him: long, lefty, soft high fades. I won't be surprised either way, but I like the bet.

Odds obviously aren't good that he'll win, but I think it's worth throwing $2 at Jerry Kelly at 250-1. He's generally solid at the Masters where he finished 12th last year and 5th in 2007 and has two other top 20 finishes, and he was having a good year this year (3 top 13 finishes in 5 starts) before a back injury led to a WD and a MC. He's taken the last few weeks off to rest his back so if he's healthy he's a threat to at least contend and a much better bet than 250-1 (though still a longshot). I don't know, I think he's worth a $2 flyer to win $500.

I hate the Red Sox and love the fact they are about to be 0-5.

That said, how do you not empty your account on Lester -180 tomorrow vs. Carmona???

Interested to see what the SOG prop is for Colorado tomorrow night. Dallas must win game.

If its 28.5 or higher...I'm gonna hammer that biotch.

I think beting hockey shots is the best deal in the land.... except for the last 3 weeks of the season. more strange stuff happens in the NHL in the last three weeks then in the first 20 combined. \

I've been doing pretty good playing ML against boston the last 2 games. I've got it down again today. Until they show me they can win i'll keep taking shots with the massive juice.

BAL to win AL EAST at 18-1.

They've been on a 101 win pace under Showalter dating back to mid last year.

Boston's showing massive signs of weakness and the Yankees are one injury away from the division flying wide open.

Far from a lock but good value.

Sold for two units, thanks.
