You gamblers need to think about taking a break. I have only bet on 3 games since football season (ncaa tourney games) and it has been great for me. I have checked this thread a lot, checked lines here and there at best, but I feel 100% energized and ready for football season. Mentally I am going to be ready to go. Maybe not mentally ready to fire and make bets grabbing good numbers, but for sure mentally ready to take bad beats and handle swings etc.

I don't know if I should laugh or cry with sportsbook here. I haven't played a prop bet in months, and i went to play an NFL draft bet tonight, and it says i am restricted to $1 bets!!!!Has anybody else had this happen recently?? I made a few bets on the draft a bit ago, and i think my limit was $100. Can they be serious with $1 limits?? I sware i have given them more money then taken from them, i just would love to know if this happened to anybody else? Obviously time to jump ship as best i can from them, pretty crazy

Welcome to the club! You won't find another book that offers the prop selection that they do, they're the gold standard.While they still make mistakes their prop lines over the past year have improved IMO. Still money to be made but not like last year(or years before that)

well, i have to say if i had a choice to join an exclusive club, this wouldn't be my first choice (no offense to all here). Just funny how they cut me when I wasn't really betting any prop bets. Some games here and there, some futures, and MMA.And congrats Lump on that Mets call. Looks like the Mets had them pretty good. Pelfrey is looking pretty good

Quotes like these always crack me up. Isn't New York one of the states that recently supported building casinos to help combat their deficit? I'm not suggesting that working with bookies is ever good for society, but you have to enjoy people justifying their jobs. I am surprised the Police commissioner didn't list terrorism as an entity that benefits from the proceeds of illegal sports betting

Yeah, I've shut it down. My local has all but retired except for the football season. I don' t think the asian mobs are linked in at all with the NYC mobs so that's good at least.There's no point in having an offshore account for props anymore, and I'm too lazy to chase these lines to see limits cut. That was a disaster for me on sportsbook. I pissed away everything I took in the free gooroo days after the limit cut. There are a couple of big time gambling pools here that are similar to the hilton contest that I'm going to enter. Limited downside risk and it will keep me interested at least.

The golden rule is that player position is determined by nfl.com. Every site with NFL draft props clearly states this, and 24 hours ago Greek did too. NFL.com list the following guys as DE: Brandon Graham, Derrick Morgan, Pierre-Paul, Sergio Kindle, Jerry Hughes, Everson Griffen, and a couple other guys that have gotten 1st round mention. Sportsbook posted it at -150, we crushed it, I crushed it with a local, Greek posted it, crushed it, have 2k on it blah blah blah. The play gets HAMMERED at Greek and ends up at -500 before they take the draft bets down....24 hours later I go to check the current line, and being thorough, I read the small print that player position is determined by espn.com...are you ####ting me, they changed the rules....so I go to ESPN.com, Brandon Graham, Sergio Kindle, and Jerry Hughes are listed as LB instead of DE. Wow. Called up Greek, talked to customer service....this was the response: "Due to updated information, we will be using espn to grade the nfl draft props. Even though it was listed as nfl.com yesterday, the positions were listed incorrectly on nfl.com, so we will be using espn.com". I said but it completely changes the complexion of the bet, it clearly said nfl.com will be determining positions and the sites have totally different position listings...the woman said I'm sorry sir and repeated the quote a few lines up. I've been doing this for a long, long time and this is one of the dirtiest things I've seen. The fact that this thing ran to -500 says that there are going to be ALOT of people that get screwed here, assume the bet goes under 3.5, which it likely will. As usual, the customer service was very helpful and allowed me to cancel my bet, A+ to them and an F to the wagering department. Be careful.

Wow, congrats on being able to cancel the wagers. Did this happen with sportsbook and any other places you had the plays? That is pretty sneaky, so hopefully anybody who tailed you sees this before the draft starts. Good luck with it thoughEDIT: And i got some of the nice one's before the limited me to $1 on the bets. The only one i added not listed here in the thread (I think), is:Russell Okung 5th pick +800 - I think every mock draft I have seen has him going 4th or 5th. The recent one's I have seen keep saying that Trent Williams seems to be a better fit and Shannahan may likely take him over Okung. A shot in the dark, but at +800 seems like it is worth a shot

Good luck with this bet. According to si.com there have been 3 DE's taken in Graham, Pierre-Paul, and Morgan. Hughes was an interesting one when Goodel made the call and said he was a DE, but si.com has him still come in as an OLB. ESPN only has 2 DE's marked with Pierre-Paul and Morgan. Could be a fight for you guys with only the Saints left.EDIT: Congrats, sportsbook graded it at 5. I wonder what thegreek will grade it at if they used ESPN. I would think they will grade the same bet at 2 maybe 3. Jeez, that is some shady stuff right there.

Nice job guys. The whole bet seems like a heck of a mess, but real sweet job of reading the small print today by yourself GR. I had over 3.5 DE's on sportsbook and they graded it at 5 for a win. I quickly snuck in a small bet for under 3.5 at greek after your post earlier, and I won with them grading that at 2 or 3.

Pretty slimy move by thegreek. I let the bet ride and was planning on fighting it afterwards and now they're telling me all bets were graded by ESPN and I don't have a screen shot of the NFL.com wager.

GR has evidence from their CS showing that they changed the parameters of the bet but I don't want to get him in trouble by using that as evidence. His acct with greek props is certainly worth more than $100.

I took enough money from them over the past 6 months that i'll let it slide

ETA: sportsbook.com, 5dimes, betus, sportsbetting, and betphoenix ALL used NFL.com, no problems at any of those sites

Late to the party but i have an opinion on this.I like balt this season, they have a few nice young pitchers, i think matusz is the best of the bunch. the 2 wins is a result of their terrible bullpen and a lack of offense(mike gonz was terrible to start the season and quickly made his way to the DL). they also had a brutal schedule to start the season. going to be some nice lines on this team in the next few months, i think i'll be betting alot of balt games.i bet the u9(-120) on this one

It's not based on Pelfrey though. He won't keep this up but the Braves lineup isn't hitting and the Mets are at home.

I have searched over and over on when the NBA rookie of the year is announced, and can't find anything. It seems like they announce these awards randomly during the playoffs. They've done a few already (most improved, coach of the year, 6th man, etc).

If you can find odds -1000 or less I'd bet it......honestly if you can find a line anywhere to bet this I'd bet it no matter what the line was. The only discussion right now is whether or not some voter looking to shake things up votes for someone else and LBJ isn't unanimous.I'm not sure when ROY is announced.

Interesting options in tonights bulls/cavs game. I have no doubt the cavs finish them off here. The Rose injury is a critical piece of information. Watching him hobble after he hurt it in the game the other day it sure looked painful. MRI was negative and he is going to play tonight but I have to think his ankle being tweaked is going to slow him down a bit.

Maybe the bigger advantage is in the other player props if drose has a bad game. Deng sat out practice yesterday with a sore knee and calf so I'm not sure what he can do. Noah is -10.5pr over shaq, line seems a little out of whack because of his 20/20 last game. Maybe Hinrich is the play here.

I've seen them play a bunch but i can't offer any advice on those plays. I do think the 12.5 is a bit much but the reasons you listed above have me worried about it. A friend who follows them more thinks they will win tonight. I asked him if this is a blind homer sort of feeling, he said no, that they played the cavs tough most of the yr and won in cleveland impressively too.

I think it's going to be tough to get any value out of phillies lines this year. They're a pretty heavy favorite to represent the NL in the world series.As a Mets fan I hope they keep stinkin it up, 2 runs against wellemeyer.
