FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Quite appropriate since this is actually a fantasy football board

yahoo real money leagues

I know there are other sites that offer this but yahoo is a pretty big player, bet there would be lots of dead money in these things.
Could you please elaborate on the "dead money?" Low level competition?
What's the "rake" on things like this? $1000 total in, $500 first place, 2nd/3rd money?

Yes. Anyone who has ever played in a sportsline pay league should know what I mean. The higher $100 entry fees doesn't mean that the quality is any better. I've had very good ROI on sportsline the last 5-6 seasons and they have a larger rake. Should be even more rubes on yahoo.

:bag: :bag: :bag: UPDATED :bag: :bag: :bag: 2012 Olympics Artistic Gymnastics Wagering Guide

USA Women's Artistic Team GOLD +130 at SB, +134 at Pinny. This has dropped from +183 at open and +175 a couple weeks ago thanks to "The Flying Squirrel" Gabby Douglas's breakout performances on the USA circuit this summer. I think this is a 3-unit play. USA has two threats for the individual all-around podium in Jordyn Wieber and Douglas, world vault champ McKayla Maroney has recovered from her concussion and nailed the Amanar at the Trials, and Ali Raisman is a three-apparatus contributor with surprisingly low variance for elite gymnastics.

USA's huge edge on vault scoring will more than make up for their relative weakness on bars, big vault numbers will take the pressure off during beam, and the top teams are bunched too closely together on floor for anyone to make a big move there. I loved this team at +175 when I last posted leans here, but I still like 3 units to make 4ish at current prices +130 or +134.
This price keeps dropping. Paddy Power even has it at -120. Nice work.

Other than Dong Dong and the Ferris bet above, what are some other Olympic bets I can tail people on?

I'm clueless as of now.

Playing a little catch up after :missing: the day games.

Reds -147

Norris is 0-7, 8.91 in his last seven starts.

Bailey is 4-0, 2.64 in his last four starts and 2-0 with a 0.60 ERA in two starts at Minute Maid.

And Mahe Mahe.
who dat? Row boat dude? I played all of those too.
Glad I got in when I did. Guess they didn't get alot of action, they were all taken down except the Men's & Women's 8's. I'd assume they didn't see much action on both sides and just yanked the lines or the dogs got hammered at very +EV money. It's all good, mine are in and I'm :excited:

The Oakland line is confusing.

Griffin has been really good. He has recorded a quality start in each of his five games. The only A's loss in those five games was in Arlington where he allowed 0 runs and 2 hits in six innings.

Romero is 0-5, 8.67 in his last five starts. I don’t get this line at all.

Romero has owned A's during his career.Guy pitching his best against a guy pitching his worst and I think the value is on Toronto tonight.Staying away from it myself.

Or, I'm just an idiot. Hopefully you made the play, good call.

Does anyone have a good (free?) site to check for steamers?
of the Cleveland variety? PM Dentist
thanks for the laugh. G1.Side note. I like Scott Piercy over Goosen(-145) in the canadian open. Piercy leads the pga tour in sunday scoring. Been playing well of late. 40/1 to win tourney. worth a flier. He has a first round matchup against garrigus as well, but i don't like it as much.

I feel lucky. I put in a three team parlay of the Pirates, Rays and A’s.

I might play the Rays straight too. I like what I saw Shields do against Seattle last time out. And if Tillman struggles early, the Orioles bullpen might be in trouble after putting in a lot of work today.

Why not  , i think i'll throw Washington in there as well, though the Brewers have to win a game one of these days.

day time baseball

I played tam -111, tor -103 and u9 in both, I wouldn't play u8.5 thats currently listed on the oak/tor game

I’m pretty sure by lucky I meant greedy.

Washington
:moneybag: +140Saved the day. Any word on what the big idea was on the line movement? I couldn't find any breaking news or anything before the game started so I just said #### it and pulled the trigger.
I had some on Oakland this afternoon, and forgot to get back in time to play Was by itself. No idea on the line movement, but would have been nice if i actually played it :wall:

I wanted to get down on the Rockies last night. Just because Cahill should have never been a favorite anything close to -190 and the Rockies had actually been winning a good amount of the games that Francis had been starting. So I made up my mind to get down on the ridiculous Mets ML tonight, but got caught up on the phone. When I came around the Mets were already up two runs and I missed fading the D-Backs +180 two nights in a row. :bag:

Also, out of all the days to play it, I had the A's RRL queued up for a unit yesterday but didn't have the huevos to make it happen.

Anyway, I might take the Rays +157 vs Haren tomorrow. :D

Where is Bender with some olympic tennis? Is this just a mini Wimbeldon? How are some players affected by finishing up other tournaments in the last day or two or do all tennis tournaments run back to back?

I'm not great with the Olympic tennis only because I just don't remember last time we had Olympics tennis. It's a weird dynamic stuck between 2 majors (i.e. Nadal withdrawing). Will check around the lines today though, but I remember always staying away from these sort of ad-hoc style matches that just end up on the schedule in no other year but the current.
