any help is mucho appreciated. i cleared all my messages in the inbox and can't find any of the old emails. there was a cat who posted here that was a super duper baseball stat nerd. for my main site, pregame.com, i wanted to get him as a blogger and maybe groom into a pick seller. anyone have a clue who i am talking about?
John Bender mentioned that you had an interest in his work, iirc.

Yup I already bet duke ML -140 when it opened and I found -2 but I'm not funded there currently so I'm hoping it hangs around today until I can get money there. It's a crappy situation, I think Duke is the right bet but I'm going to be rooting for WVU.I've got myself in quite a :goodposting:

no reason to spam a forum. our main site has been on CBS News with Katie Couric, ABC News with Charles Gibson, Nightline, Sportscenter, Outside the Lines (ESPN), First Take (ESPN2), Mike & Mike, Colin Cowherd, Jim Rome, Dan Patrick, ESPN.com, FoxSports.com, Yahoo, CNN.com and in the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, LA Times, Newsweek.com, Bloomberg, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated.

the CNBC special on gambling a few months back filmed our main guy and was at our office.

:lmao: No clue what this means. But I do know that it's awesome. :lmao:

I hate that sportsbook.com cut me on props and futures but I still use them regularly on sides/totals. Nobody pays out faster than them. Bankwire request Monday morning and money is in my acct already, can't beat that :goodposting:

ATL to win NL East +350

CWS over 81.5 wins(-130)

Pirates over 66.5 wins(-130)

Orioles over 71.5 wins(-130)

ETA: Twins u84.5(-130)

Highest loss total for MLB pitcher under 17(-130)

Will top avg exceed .355 NO(-130)

I'll probably make more plays about a month into the season on division winners, hopefully some of the books leave the pre-season numbers up for the first month like they did last season. Always nice to see how the season starts before placing these bets.

Lump, and the rest of you that are interested, go to the Baseball Forum. There is a thread on totals and we could use your input. Please give reasons why you like those totals, so we can bounce #### off each other. The thread has been :moneybag: in years past. Johnny "I'm not here to spam but I have links to my blog and tout site, please go to them and subscribe" Detroit, you're not welcome. :D

Johnny Detroit is good people. He's went out of his way to be cool to me and has never asked for anything in return. I don't subscribe to him and am not employed by him.

What's the most you guys would/could transfer using a bankwire as to not be scrutinized by the bank/irs/etc? I guess I'm afraid to use it.

Honestly I claim my winnings on my taxes so I don't worry about it. If I was trying to avoid the IRS I wouldn't use a bank wire to withdraw.

Double :goodposting:he's done a lot for the posters in this thread in the past and never asked for a thing back. He's good people for sure. He does have a website but has never put pressure on anyone to subscribe.

Sorry, been a little busy and without a laptop lately.

I've just punched my baseball futures plays as of today

BODOG Tampa Bay Rays UNDER 89.5 Wins - They won 84 games last year and I'm struggling to find where they got a whole lot better besides the addition of Rafael Soriano. They have Howell down the start the season, and he was a huge piece. James Shields is the staff ace and really lost some of his stuff last season. I'm very nervous about him anchoring the staff, I'm very nervous about Wade Davis not being ready for another year or so and I'm very nervous about Jeff Niemann. The guy just isn't electric. I do like David Price to take a step forward with his control this year and round out the K:BB ratio. Offensively, there isn't much different and god forbid the Rays are even slightly out of the race by June or July. They HAVE to deal Carl Crawford if that occurs because I'd bet everything I have that they already know there is no chance of resigning him.

Besides just what the Rays have done, the Yankees have certainly gotten better in my eyes. I've got the Yankees projected out to 101 wins. While the jays have taken a hit, the Rays faced Halladay only 6 times last year and they beat the Jays on those Halladay starts 5 out of the 6 times, so I don't see the Rays making up any wins on the Jays. The Orioles offense may be the most underrated in the game.

All in all, I just don't see it being any easier of a path for the Rays, not enough to make up 6 more wins in the AL East. I like them to win 85 games max. Max play on this one for me.

I've got a few others I'll post shortly...

BODOG: Bobby Jenks UNDER 30.5 Saves - He's had 29 and 30 the last 2 years. This is a good play if you believe most of the pundits who think Thornton is rearing to go as soon as Jenks slips up. He's got a volatile manager and always seems to be dealing with a nagging injury. The part of this bet that gave me some pause was the fact that he is only 29, but the past 2 seasons totals along with the other items mentioned thinks this is a safe 1 unit play. I like him for a save total in the mid 20's.

BODOG: Asdrubal Cabrera UNDER .289 BA - He was insanely lucky last year to hit .310 with a .364 BABIP. a .364 BABIP is obscenely beneficial to a bloated batting average. He'll be leading off this year so I like a few of his other numbers to come up a little (runs and steals), but think his batting average rounds off to the .278-.280 range

BODOG: Gil Meche U 9.5 Wins - 6 Wins last year, and really this offense is as terrible as it has ever been. All I'm hearing is that this guy has been a mess this spring training (haven't seen him personally). Going to play this for a small play. This year is going to be a monumental breakdown year for him in my opinion. I like the under again.

BODOG: Scott Kazmir U 12.5 Wins - He has won over 12 games once in his career and granted, he was on the Rays for all of those years, but he's starting the season injured and he had a very disappointing 2009. I keep hearing about his "fatigued" shoulder. I remember hearing about Brandon Webb's "fatigued" shoulder in early 2009 and I stayed clear luckily. Steer clear and hammer the under on this. Max play.

:goodposting: Lump, c'mon man. What are you possibly thinking here, it is like giving money away taking this bet. And there is one future baseball bet I love: NY Mets un 81 wins. I thought the line would be set around 65 or something, that should be easy money. :lmao:That was a dopey joke, but i seriously do like Halladay ov 16 wins. i just don't see how he can lose a bunch of his starts, and the Phils bullpen is still pretty crappy. Old man Moyer will need to use the bullpen when he pitches, so I would think Halladay will be used well.

So classy he advertises his business (a tout service no less) in every post he makes. You'll say it's nothing but 1) You simply aren't allowed to do that here. This is someone else's business, period, and he knowingly goes against their wishes in an attempt to drive traffic to his site. Classy. And 2) He's outright lying when he says he "has no reason to spam a forum". He IS spamming, and there are PLENTY of reasons...like trolling for dollars. He started a gambling thread for the WWF or some #### the other day, lol. No reason? Please.Oh wait, he posted that he wants to find a guy here, something about, "grooming a super duper stat guy to be a pick seller". :pickle: Straight class, yo!Almost forgot. Did you not notice when I called him on it, he took the opportunity to name-drop 50 news sources that his tout service has been covered by? :lmao: All of which has exactly ZERO to do with anything...besides finding another opening for his tireless self promotion. Trust me, he has been doing this for years; he's just smart enough to be subtle about it.He might be a nice guy, fine, but he's full of #### with the, "Who me? Advertising? No way, NEVER!" card. I love it, he says he's not, but then what's underneath every single post he makes? His business card. It's hilarious. :lmao:

Lump, seems to me that the Duke/WV winner will be a pretty decent favorite in the title game.Taking Duke -2.5 might not be a bad idea.
Yup I already bet duke ML -140 when it opened and I found -2 but I'm not funded there currently so I'm hoping it hangs around today until I can get money there. It's a crappy situation, I think Duke is the right bet but I'm going to be rooting for WVU.I've got myself in quite a :towelwave:
so where are you on all of this Lump? i'm pretty much watching vicariously through your picks, is your only hope for success through a WVU win?

I bet on duke tonight, both ml and -2 but not as a hedge....wvu wins great but i'm losing money no matter what.

well, baseball is around the corner, and I know you were killing that last year with your prop bets. F'n sportsbook doesn't help that a ton, but i am sure you have options. i'm guessing you can kill it again.

hope so, looking forward to baseball. less props and more sides/totals for me this year. hoping for a good start to the season so i can take july and august off and enjoy some nice weather. i guess since this is a hobby i can take july and august off no matter what but i know if i have a rough start i won't take a break.

Ready to roll for baseball season, got the 1st big play in for opening day and ready to crush just like last year. Anybody wants to jump aboard, give me a shout!

If any of you are funded at Bodog, jump on the Kazmir U 12.5 wins total before it gets taken down.

This is as strong a play as I've ever seen on there, their props are usually pretty tight but I really really really like this at the max.

Thanks for asking. We got evacuated on Tuesday. Allowed back into the neighborhood last night. My place was bone dry, miraculously. The parking lot next store at Target looked like the Pacific ocean.
Some of my neighbors weren't so lucky. They lost everything. Very sad.

My uncle lives in Warwick, lost 2 classic cars (although there's a whole insurance fight coming) that he couldn't get moved. Flooded them pretty good. I was at Balls in Warwick just this past monday night (playing pool), then couldn't get within miles of Warwick just 2 days later. Insane.

Very glad to here you didn't run into any trouble and sorry to hear about your neighbors.

Fixing water damage was starting to look like a favorable option compared to staying at my mom's house for one more second. :coffee:

Clear case of correlation with dog/under here, right? Butler isn't going to be outscoring Duke here. WVU's defense was embarrassing. I could of had 10+pts tonight with all of those open looks. I know they were all athletic and long and they switched everything, so how can you actually not cover wide open shot when switching everything?? The one thing when switching everything they will give up is some offensive rebounds because smaller guys routinely got matched up with Zoubek down low. Should be a very interesting game Monday night - Butler's defense was absolutely fantastic tonight. I'm guessing Hayward takes Singler, Nored on Smith, Mack on Scheyer, Howard on Zoubek, and Veasley with Thomas? Nored is one of the best defenders I have seen in a while, he is so quick and has great hands.

Just looking at my bracket, I went 1-7 in the 1st rd games between the 8/9 and the 7/10 seeds. Thankfully I didn't gamble on the tourney this year.

already 128.5 at bookmaker, the way butler has played the last few weeks i think the under is going to get hammered.

i thought syracuse played their worst game of the season against butler....it was maybe the 2nd time this year i'd seen butler play. now i realize that butlers defense is really good and was the reason cuse played so bad. i think duke tries to speed it up and butler tries to slow it down.

wow, this will be a terrible bet. Roy Jones look absolutely insulting. Boxing's product looks worse and worse. Really hard to try and watch this fight knowing how good Jones was.

If you mean team total overs, I'm gonna guess the Reds/Rangers/Nats are one of 'em.I'd go under the Mets total whatever it is. They STINK.

Here's my baseball plays for Opening Day and I'll post a little analysis on each tomorrow:

2 Units:

Dodgers/Pirates OVER 8.5 Runs

1 Unit:

Cardinals ML -145

Giants ML -125

i'll take the win, but my God it is hard to be a fan of boxing these days. Fight was just horrible, commentating is simply promoting and nothing else. Both guys were great years ago, and this is just a shame having to watch them still box like this. I hope they both get paid well for this one

I saw it open at -5 at several places and shoot up to -6.5 within a minute or two.
