I'm at sportsbook now, I like that I can just drive down to Kmart and Western Union the money at any time. They have good bonuses, daily promotions, and tons of options. I like it well enough so far, but miss the lines I used to get at matchbook. The instant action is awesome, but I'm not sure if I can keep my head above water here, I was a Matchbook whore for many moons.

SB cut my limits on props but you don't have an account there yet so load up and work on their baseball props. It's the easiest market to beat. Don't play just props, give them action on other bets(sides, totals, etc) it'll help prolong your stay there. They cash out lightning fast especially by bankwire and they also offer nice bonuses in cash. Not a lot of shops today offer cash bonuses.hooter recommends matchbook, no doubt about it they have the best lines for baseball but you have to sacrifice a few cents here and there to play big market lines at the books you're using for props.ETA: and yes i'm mostly a line shopper, i can't beat big markets

Matchbook is a betting exchange, so you're not betting against the book, your betting against other gamblers.You can either accept another gambler's offer or create your own. The lines are always going to be better because matchbook just takes their cut off the top and counts on volume.Example:World CupI can bet up to $500 on Spain to win at +113at sportsbook the line is evenAt lot of times the disparity is much greater, on UFC fights I very often got lines +20 in my favor compared to other books. If you're ever going to take advantage of a huge underdog or play a huge favorite, matchbook offers you a ton of value. Also, you never have to worry about getting the boot.disadvantages are that sometimes you can't get enough action or at the time you need it, also, no parlaying or other exotics under this system. Props are extremely few and far between, hard to create any action on them anyways under this type of system.ETA: back to the World Cup example, say I wanted the play at +115, I could put that out there and hope someone else picks it up before a better offer goes up.

Anytime RN.Correct, the funds are deducted from your account when you put the offer up, you can cancel at any time before someone accepts.They will also do the calculations for you where if you get the opportunity to hedge against yourself. I've booked several fights by getting a plus # on both sides, it automatically booked it as a profit for me before the fight even took place.

You're probably right lump, I've never spent enough time in front of the computer I guess to know for sure. I do know that was able to be on the right side of a lot of RAS totals during the CBB season if I was lucky enough to be on when the plays were released.RAS tended to move every line it picked by at least a point or 2, usually more.

No question that matchbook is going to have the best line 99% of the time if you're betting right before game time. They're great for large markets, terrible for props and derivative markets which is where it's easier to make money. I love matchbook, I'm just not able to make money there yet and not sure if I'll ever be there.

Yeah i was in a rush trying to buy up yankee futures. it was -180 to win the AL East, sportsbook.com now has that at -700 which is ridiculous.

Bodog had the yanks at +333 to win it all which is the best line i could find but they've taken it down already.

For any baseball bettors:

Nats just posted tonight's lineup for their game and it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Josh Willingham and Pudge are both on the bench along with Desmond and Mike Morse and anyone with pop in the lineup not named Dunn or Zimmernman, so you're talking Cristian Guzman in the 5 spot. One of the weakest MLB lineups you'll see all year.

With Strasburg going for the Nats (great but probably a little overrated by the betting public) and Cain going for the Giants (always underrated), it looks like value, especially if the books haven't adjusted to the terrible Nats lineup.

With a quality team in the other dugout, an uber-hyped pitcher on the mound for the Nats, and an underhyped pitcher on the mound for the Giants, it just screams value to me. Like I'm thinking it looks more like the Nats should be barely favored, if at all. Especially when you consider that this will be Strasburg's first outing in which he's not pitching to Pudge. That may dislodge him a bit, who knows. Just another factor to give you value.
