FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (11 Viewers)

For tomorrow I love Villanova -3.5 vs. Syracuse. The Cuse have struggled lately since getting out to a 18-0 start going just 4-6 since, and the biggest issue has been a breakdown in their patented 2-3 zone. Specifically, they can't stop good guards who can penetrate the gaps and either score or find open teammates. Their six losses: @ Louisville by 4, vs. Georgetown by 8, @ Marquette by 6, vs. Seton Hall by 22, vs. Villanova by 11, and @ Pitt by 8. Two things should stand out there: 1. All those teams have great guards, and Villanova's are better than everyone on that list except Georgetown, and 2. Villanova already won by 11 in Syracuse. Yes, Nova beat them on the road already by 11 and are now favored by just 3.5. Also, Nova is 13-2 at home this year with their narrowest win by 4. So to recap:1. Villanova's style of play is the exact style that's killed Syracuse all year2. Syracuse is struggling3. Villanova already beat Syracuse by 11 in Syracuse4. Outside of their two home losses (to Pitt and Georgetown, two final four types), Villanova has won every home game by at least 4.Honestly, I'm scared because this one looks too good to me, but I have made my largest wager of the season on Nova -3.5.
Up to -4 on Sportsbook now :kicksrock:

I can't play this game tonight which should be good for anyone on Nova -3.5. I'm a little gun shy right now and just feel like this game could be ridiculously close but Nova is the side I generally like. Good luck but Im going to wait for a better game.

watch out for a big look-ahead / let down game from Purdue on Wed @ Indiana. Just took down OSU yesterday and has to go to Michigan State this Sunday. Yes, it's a rivalry game but I think Purdue only squeaks this one out and Indiana might even have a shot at winning this one.

Would love to know the line when it comes out.

Board being down hurt. My pal posted his first 4 star play in a while in the form of the Blackhawks u 31.5 shots today. Sorry to not pass it on in time.

Preseason baseball this friday, arizona at SF

normally i wouldn't be excited about this but i'm dying to get thru this CBB season, just been awful.

Anyone else get on the Combine props yesterday? Some are still up... $100 max on

40 Yard

AJ Green over Julio Jones

Jake Locker over Christian Ponder

Bowers over Fairley

Cam Newton over 4.51 sec 40 (now up to 4.60 not sure about that number)

Staying on Vandy tonight vs Tennessee -5.5, illogical and superstitious me buying .5 down to 5. Silly, yes, but that's just me - when I go heavy, I don't mind paying for insurance, and this is a heavy play for me. Vols beat Vandy @ Tenn earlier this Season, overcoming a 17-point deficit in the process, however Commodores committed 21 TO's, very uncharacteristic for the type of Team the Commodores have molded themselves into over the last several weeks...Tenn is looking increasingly like Hopson and no one else, while Vandy is moving away from just being John Jenkins and more into a multiplayer Team. They're shooting almost 50% from 3-point range over their last 5 games. Tennessee has lost 4 of last 5, and haven't beaten a ranked Team on the road since 2008 (6 Games). This is their 3rd straight road Game vs a ranked Team. Commodores home date is sandwiched between 4 road games, they beat @ Georgia and @ Auburn handily, and follow this home game with @ LSU before taking on @ Kentucky, so I don't think they'll be overlooking the Vols. This is the last home game before senior night vs Florida, and it's a rematch vs an in-state rival who won the 1st game @ Tenn, with the turnover factor playing a major role. The likelyhood of a sweep is minimal, and the spread is fair, worth playing at 6 or less.

Good Luck, all!

Think I like Memphis Grizz +1 @ Denver. No melo/billiups. Are former Knicks playing even tonight? Memphis isn't a bad team.

Also on golden state +5. They're good at home and their guards can score. Boston stuck on west coast partying since all-star break.

With you on memphis

Suprised nobody said anything about my sportsbook cashout post. They are telling me 4-6 weeks no matter what option I choose. Anyone think this is an issue?

I guess I am just not that surprised by it, and your situation could be a lot worse. Sure it blows, but every time around this year sportsbook is always hard up for money when it comes to withdraws. I placed my withdraw about 5-7 days before the Super Bowl and got everything real fast. Just be glad they are able to get you the money and you don't have to accept Gift cards that you have to run around and find specific Mac machines so you don't get killed on surcharges. That blew

Stewart Cink at 65-1 to win the Accenture Match Play seems like a good price...Playing that and Matt Kuchar at 35-1
Lots of good 1st round matchups looking at the dogs. The course is generous with its fairways but does have some nice forced carries and how much you want to cut off situations. Nicklaus designed and plays at over 7800 yards. Bunker play and getting the up and downs to halve holes will be crucial. Should be fun. Last week I thought I had 4-1 week wrapped up on my plays but went 3-2. Frost blew a 4 or 5 stroke lead on the last day. He was one of like 15 players out of the field to shoot over par. Everyone was going like 3 or 4 under but he blew up. Anyway, I'll post a few plays tomorrow that I like.edit: oops. forgot it starts tomorrow and not thursday.

Warriors were tied at 60 at half. Down by only 4 with 6 minutes left and then somehow lose by 22. Damn.

And Denver dresses 9 players and crushes. Damn.

Individual plays for today...

1 unit

Francesco Molinari -110 vs Ryan Moore

Ross Fisher -120 vs Robert Allenby

2 units

Ben Crane -105 vs Adam Scott

Geoff Ogilvey -150 vs Padraig Harrington

JB Holmes -135 vs Camilo Villegas

The favorites are way too big imo. No chance I am betting any of the big boys at -220 or more....at least one will lose probably. I fear the most for Lee Westwood and Rory Mcllroy

I hope I get to bet odds to win it all after the first round. Not sure if my book will put out new odds.

:bag: FAIL :bag: After finishing a tightly contested 1st half with a sweet run to take a 4 point lead into the locker room, watching the 2nd Half collapse by the Commodores (up 11 with ~12 minutes to play), was beyond painful. Apologies to any who followed.

I tried to withdrawal the day after the Super Bowl. I faxed them my license and electric bill. They sent me a confirmation email that they received everything and were going to process it, at the same time they sent me a message on the site that they were putting it all back into my account because something wasn't correct. Requested it again on the 12th and just got confirmation last night that it was processed. They didn't say how long the check would take though. Sure hope its not another 4-6 weeks.

It is -5seems about right.

Anyone like Michigan +4 tonight? I kind of do but then again I liked Rutgers a lot last night too.
The other game I like is Nebraska -1.5. Nebraska is 14-1 at home this season. They did get waxed at KState a couple of weeks ago but they turned it over 22 times, they usually take care of the ball much better than that. I think they can reverse the loss but then again Im not seeing it well right now.
