FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

I really like the 4 loss at home Chicago Bulls as homedogs against anyone even the Miami Heat. I'm taking the Bulls +3 tonight. Anyone betting against them last Thursday vs the Spurs knows how solid they are at home. I'm taking the Bulls +3 tonight fairly big. In the second game, I think with Perkins and Nate both shipped off might be a good night to take the Nuggets at home +4.5. Melo or not, that is still a tough place to play.BOL
I agree, when the bulls lay down, its usually against a weaker foe on the road. Road games against good teams they get up for. I'm in on this with ya.edit: I know they are at home, was just pointing out what i think is their achilles heal, not getting motivated all the time when playing a weaker opponent on the road.

Took Rose Over 8 assists...Paul, Rondo, Nash all had at least 1 over 15 assist games against the Heat...dont see how Rose wouldnt either. Hope this this is a GR approved play...

Three star play wild under 27 -115.

28.5 line would have been four stars for reference, so this only rates a three star play.

How are the Reds 24-1 to win the WS....

Defending NL Central Champs and Wainright is done and Pujols is not signed yet...They are more than likely going to win the division again. Pirates, Cubs, and Astros arent good. St Louis is crippled. Its them and Milwaukee...

They probably dont have anything for the Phils, but you gotta like 24-1 on anyone in the playoffs imo.

OK big night tonight to see if we're actually back or still stuck in reverse:

2u east illinois +13

2u oral roberts -4.5

wisc-gb +8.5

northeastern +16

loyola-chi +9.5

usc pk

nevada -5.5

appalachian st +7

179-151 54.2% +13.35u
surprised this wasn't a multi-unit play, you beat the closing line by 11 points :lmao:
 Oops, -2.5
#### me, that was supposed to be Wisc-Mil. I played Wisc-GB by accident
calm down beavis, you still got a decent shot at covering ;) ETA: if it doesn't cover then you can come in here and complain......i've blown 3k before betting the wrong side of a game, it happens, hopefully you cover

:goodposting: stressful game but gotta love D-Rose

Took the following today...

Kuchar +110 vs Fowler

Watson +115 vs Ogilvy

Day -110 vs Holmes

Considering taking a shot with Mahan to beat Kaymer, but havent made up my mind...

Tonight in the NBA:

Thunder +7 against Orlando. The last time these two teams played Oklahoma won by a small margin at home. There's no reason that can't happen again here in Orlando. Durant and Westbrook almost stole a victory in San Antonio and covered a big spread, I think they do the same in Orlando. Take the Thunder and the points. Kind of fishy this spread is as large as it is.

I took this as well, let's get it done.

Doug Gottlieb LOVES LOVES LOVES Syracuse +1 tomorrow @ Georgetown with Wright being out for the Hoyas. He did everything except call it FREE MONEY and he said this line will move "5 or 6 points" by tipoff. That might be a little :goodposting: but I can't stress enough how much he loves this play.

He also likes Kansas to rout Oklahoma on the road (lay the 14.5), and picked the Buffs at home to beat Texas outright.

Syracuse/Colorado parlay!

Hockey tomorrow:

Two of the better teams in the league matching up in Vancouver. Boston will play this close to the vest and try to mitigate Vancouver's speed by forcing them to the edges. Both teams have elite goalies, and the number is right.

Nucks/Bruins U 5.5 (-115)

Also playing Wings -120. glllllll

Phillies @ Yanks at 1:00 this afternoon!!! :homer:

Like Christmas Eve. I don't care if it's only Spring Training. I don't care if it's 50 players

I've never heard of. It's a bunch of guys in baseball uniforms in the middle of a dreary winter!

Can anyone here help me find a link that shows all the 2010-2011 Men's Basketball Conference Tournament Schedules, leading up to Selection Sunday? I need to start planning my schedule for the next two weeks, and it seriously revolves around the dates and times of all these small Conference Tourneys. I think I might like them better than The Big Dance. The earlier I can start the process, the better...any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Big Saturday, gonna be adding more later:

1u Northeastern -6.5

1u Auburn +3.5

1u LSU +9

1u Colorado +6

1u Georgia St +9.5

1u W. Carolina +4

YTD 186-152 55% +19.25u

bmj, nice work earlier in the week getting back on track, trailed you on 5 of your plays, and went 5-1, which was nice...

...although I was wrong about Vandy the other night, and my leans this Season haven't been as profitable as I would have liked, I'm still pretty confident about my SEC knowledge base, and I can't say I feel all that great about your SEC leans today. Pretty much always when I look into your plays instead of just trailing, and see something I don't like, I just don't play it - going against you and your system is foolish, but today, I'm going to with these 3 plays, just to see how it works out.

I'm an Arkansas homer, so take this with a grain of salt, but coming off the home OT victory vs Kentucky earlier this week, if it was any Team but Auburn, I would be on your side here, but Auburn IS that bad, and Arkansas' euphoria should carry over for this game at least vs a vastly inferior opponent, to cover -3.5.

Vanderbilt tripped up vs Tennessee, they're better than that loss, and they are a Team capable of coming back from that uncharacteristic loss on the road vs the SEC's other doormat and cover a high spread. I'm buying 1 here just to be safe, but Vandy should be focused and torch LSU.

Similarly, Tennessee is scrappy, but that effort against Vandy was not typical of this Tenn Team, and that was a road rivalry game that Tenn should drop off from, especially playing vs a Team that's just as dirty and scrappy as they are, but with a much better Team Offense. Miss St dog should easily cover here.

Good Luck, fellas!

Last additions:

2u E. Washington +7

1u Arkansas St -7

1u Ole Miss -1

1u St. Joe's -1

1u Oklahoma +14

1u Cornell +5

1u St. Louis +4.5

1u Rice -5.5

1u Ga. Southern +4

1u Montana St +3.5

Adding 1: Alabama ML (+105) as a +1.5 road dog @ Ole Miss...historically, 'bama struggles @ the Rebs, er Bears, but this Season, struggling means not winning by double digits. Tide rolls to a straight up road W today.

Good Luck!

PS: bmj, I just saw we're on opposite sides of 'bama/Ole Miss, too. Lovely. Good luck to you, bro.

Would you guys agree that it's more common for a 2:1 favorite to lose in the NBA as opposed to the NHL?

Example:

The Jazz are -200 AT Detroit tonight. (They are a 5-point favorite.)

Meanwhile, the 40-15-6 Flyers are -200 tonight AT the 20-32-9 Senators.

Over the course of a season, I have to think it's more likely that the -200 NBA team loses more often, right?

Because it's on and I have nothing better to do:

Long Beach State -5.5 over UCSB. 9-1 ATS last 10 against the Gauchos.

nope, sport doesn't have any effect on the line

On that Iowa game as well. Any MMA input for tonight?
a lot of stuff, most are in the MMA Wagering thread though. For what is left at this point, the lines are sewt pretty good. you can grab Lytle real quick, and depending on your book get a parlay or 2 in with some other plays. Only dog i am giving a chance that is left is BJ at +170. also have a pinch on Rivera at +350
