I don't know man. I capped this game thinking AF would run all over Hawaii. Thats not the sort of thing where all of a sudden they will rush for 250 yards in the 2H.

They tend to throw when they are ahead some but they lost their 4 year starter Tim Jefferson at QB in the offseason. But it's not crazy for a service academy, Army throws like 20 passes a year it seems.

It's right. And a few times a game they hit the TE down the middle for 40.They, like the rest of the world, thought they would run all over the team that gave up 2 miles to Nevada and 3 miles to Fresno.

I think we are just old enough to appreciate the option/wishbone. I know I grew up watching OU/Nebraska and the service academies run it to perfection. Dowis, Holloway and Steve Taylor were the guys I think did it best. All three could break 80 yard runs and hit the TE pop for 10 yards to keep you honest, love it. That's why I hate when this offense is described as "gimmick," it is great football IMO. It's just not 2012 style I suppose but I'm hoping someday some hybrid will come back to college football that is all the rage.
