Big bets so far:UNLV -2UNC -4VCU -7Iowa State +1.5Georgetown -13South Dak State +11.5Colorado +2
Don't be afraid to take your Gophers -3, guy. The Bruins are a bunch of frauds and MIN is battle-tested in the rugged B10.
:unsure:I dont know S about college hoops. But I did follow UCLA because of the pac 10 bet that was posted here pre season. I watched 4 different games with this team and all 4 times UCLA looked lost. I can't understand how they won the Pac-10. Needless to say the one game I liked when I saw the schedule as the Gophers.

Frosty NOT being on them makes me a little nervous, though maybe he just superstitiously doesn't bet them in the NCAAs.

I have 2u on the Gophers but they ####### suck.

If you're looking for a small ML parlay for fun, I love all the Big Ten teams to win in the first round. Won't get much flavor going with the ML on some of those teams, but I think all of them win straight up (even Illinois)

Watch the lines on Belmont/AZ, if it climbs to 5 or you can get a solid ML number, take Belmont for the straight up win.

My concern with Florida is that they have fared very poorly in games less than 10 points. And winless in games in less than 5 points I believe. I just don't think they're good enough to smack teams every round (even though they're capable of doing so).
Hate the line, love the OV 140

Pucks tonight:Nucks -125
With all due respect, I realize that you will forget more about hockey than I will ever learn. Can you give me some insight on why you chose this particular lean? I looked at the matchup and my first thought would be to go the other way. When I look at it, I see that Vancouver is 3-6-2 in it's last 11 games and just ended an 0-36 run of power play chances. St Louis is going for their 4th straight victory, and are riding a hot goalie. What am I missing? I am trying to learn how to cap these games for myself instead of blindly following others' leans. I am doing fairly well on totals, but sides have me shuked.Thanks.

I like that the Canucks lost last night and as good as a home team as they usually are, I think this is a nice spot for a bounce back. Canucks are feeling a little pressure now that they've unbderachived and also having their last two home games, I think you'll see the best game from them tonight. Numbers and trend favors St Louis, situation and home ice is enough for me to like the Canucks here.

I've got Duke over IU in the finals. I'm guessing Crean makes some bad substitutions and gets out coached.

As far as the first four games, I'm only betting on James Madison. I liked North Carolina A&T when the lined opened at -2, but not now.

I really need to formulate something for over/under, but I've got nothing figured out yet.

For the non NCAA tourney games today...

George Mason

Rider

Eastern Kentucky

Louisiana Tech

Kentucky

Northern Iowa

Evansville

Alabama

Virginia

Lehigh

So, Tuesday's installment of the First Four, plus 9 NIT, 3 CBI and 6 CIT matchups going tonight.

I bought .5u on St. Mary's on Sunday. I've seen the line move back and forth from 3 to 3.5 and back to 3. I'm standing pat. NC A&T/Liberty I have no interest in.

These "Not Invited" Tournament Games are intriguing, in the sense that a wild card gets thrown into the equation as to how interested a given Team is in playing the games. Major Conference bubble busters have good reason to sulk, while teams looking ahead to a bright future next season are plenty motivated. Strong Teams from one-bid conferences who didn't make the dance are usually motivated as well - they are used to the idea that only one Team from their Conference goes dancing, and their only chance to play more basketball is to go as far as they can in these Tournaments, and they like getting a shot at the majors here. It's good for mid-majors recruiting efforts, too.

Some of these matchups:

NIT Niagara @ Maryland: Maryland's Tourney bubble burst when they couldn't hold a lead @ Virginia and lost in OT in the final Conference game, finishing 8-10 in ACC play, and putting them in position where they had to at least get to the ACC Championship Game through Duke and UNC to receive consideration. Based on how the field shook out, they might have had to beat Miami as well. They beat Duke, and took UNC to the wire, but ultimately fell short. Interesting, in that outside of Junior Pe'shawn Howard, all the key contributors are Freshmen and Juniors, and Maryland is a 2-Seed playing on it's home court. Niagara was the #1 Seed in the MAAC, and the favorite to advance, beaten by Tournament Champ #4 Iona in the semi's. Iona logged in as a 15-Seed in the Dance, Niagara probably would have been a 13, but that's not bad for a lower tier mid major conference champ. They feature Antoine Mason (son of Anthony Mason) and Juan'ya Green, very strong guards, both scorers and solid ballhandlers. I think they come out fired up, and I'm not sure Maryland will take them seriously enough to cover 10.5.

Oh, crap, I don't have time for this...I don't see how Kentucky can be excited for their game vs Robert Morris, played, by the way at a neutral location - Moon Township, PA (wtf?), especially after they sulked after getting the boot from the SEC Tourney. These kids need the offseason to grow up. Robert Morris is no slouch. They were the #1 Seed in the Northeast Conference, knocked out by St. Mary's in the semi's. They play great defense, and are great 3-point shooters, and have a stud in Karvel Anderson, who banged up his wrist late in the year, but scored 23 in the 1st round win over St. Francis, and played 30 minutes in the loss to MSM, and has had time to rest. Another #1 Seed from a 1-bid conference who didn't make it...trouble is, this line is only +3.5, so it's already suspected Kentucky might have already packed it in. Wish it was similar to the MD/Niagara line, but RM could win this game. The ML is +155...

The above write ups are only leans at this time.

I AM betting on Ohio U. +7 @ Denver, Lehigh +6 @ Wyoming, Washington +6.5 @ BYU and Gardner-Webb +2 vs Eastern Kentucky. I'll try to post why when I have more time later.

Looking for some action tonight. I have bets on the following but am looking for a few more suggestions:

Magic (NBA +11)

Kings (NHL -1.5)

That's actually Robert Morris's campus. Moon Township is just outside of Pittsburgh. It'll be a home game for them.

That's very interesting, because it's listed as a neutral site game, and because Robert Morris is an 8-seed, while Kentucky is a 1-seed. I wonder why that is? Jeebus, Kentucky...from the Penthouse to the outhouse: from National Champs to the NIT. Really amazing to think how good some of these Teams would be if kids stayed longer, even if it's just the kids who SHOULD stay, and weren't under the delusion they could actually make it long-term at the next level.

Its because Rupp has tourney games I believe...they are getting ready for it.

There's not much continuity with that team year-to-year, obviously. Almost every year is going to look radically different under Cal.And, Noel.

One of you TV hogs can opine on this for me I'd appreciate it.Justified or The Borgias?
I've never heard of the second one. Justified is pretty damn entertaining, though. Season 2 is just flat out awesome.
You jokers dragged your feet so I went with The Borgias. You would know them by that sur-name but it's the story of Pope Alexander the 6th. It was also the backdrop to the good Assassins Creed Games. It's a showtime production so they can swear and have nudity, plus the Pope is played by J Irons so those two things broke the tie. It's only two seasons so next is Justified.
