FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (6 Viewers)

New Jack City on VH1
Little known fact: movie is based on the Chambers brothers who pretty much created the template for the distribution of crack cocaine. Where did it happen? Detroit, Michigan, 1983-1988ish.
Nice article here: http://www.nytimes.com/1988/12/18/us/detroit-drug-empire-showed-all-the-traits-of-big-business.html?pagewanted=all&src=pm

"The brothers used discount coupons and two-for-one sales to lure buyers to the highly addictive drug. They had as many as 500 employees, so many that they issued identification cards with snapshots to keep track of them, law-enforcement officials said. To motivate workers, there were sales competitions among the hundreds of crack houses run or franchised by the group."

Coupons and 2-for-1 sales on crack :lmao:

Heat/Rockies ML parlay +133Phillies +130Rangers +128Orioles +140 I'm not a chalk bettor but I don't usually bet this many dogs either so buyer beware. By the numbers the Phillies and Rangers are almost no-brainer plays but that Orioles play is pretty much 100% speculative. It is really hard to hold these guys to one run over two games and I think the O's bust out some tomorrow. I'd probably play the over but the Rays are pretty unpredictable with runs so the O's seem like the better play. Also every time someone writes all this #### the other team wins so just bet the rays and be done with it. Red Sox/Angels should have a lot of runs but 10 was too high for me, I was hoping it was 9 before I went and looked at the lines.
Tailing every damn one of them and adding even more dogsMarlins+165$10 Koehler hasn't been badPirates-130 Edwin Jackson still sucksGiants+115 I don't know why

And there was much rejoicing. Hawks winning the west +1.5 rack. Started bets in February @ 4/1. Bought more at 2/1, and +150. Finals matchups had Pitt/Hawks at 10/1 for a hundo and at 5/1 for 50. Two separte bets on Devils/Hawks at 45/1, 20 bucks each(didn't even make playoffs-- HELLO). Rangers Hawks @ 30/1 for a quarter. And the Bruins/Hawks at 11/1 for a hundo. Just under another rack. If the Hawks win it all, I'll add another rack and a half. Early odds i got were 7/1, but have alot more added at 5/1, 4.5/1, and 4/1. Maybe Doctor and I should work out a hedge between us instead of the books.

3-0, +3.61 yesterday for a nice change of pace.

Now I've never been a big fan of RL faves, but I'm taking a gamble on the Royals. Harrell has given up two more ER per start during the day throughout his career, and over the past week, the Royals pen has a 1.08 ERA with a 96% LOB%, compared with the Astros 6.48 and 65%.

Royals -1.5 +125

Rangers +127

The one thing Detroit has always been good at is innovation. Kid I grew up with had an uncle that was important in that operation, I think he got some bodies put on his charge. Land of Opportunity is the book detailing all their exploits, it's pretty good.

I was a little sick to my stomach during that Detroit series, thinking i had pissssed it all away. Haven't hedged in any series yet and thinking of following Lumpys sound advice. Why hedge if its not a life changing amount. While i'm ecstatic with the win, i almost am disappointed in myself for not wagering more on something i treated like a good stock play.

Yeah, probably why I'll stick with Boston. Just 1u wagered and I already pissed away 2u betting the Pens as a hedge in the ECF. I think I'll just play it game to game and try to come out ahead there regardless of what happens in the end. I have a real hard time rooting for a Boston team though, I think that is my biggest issue.

harder than the Blackhawks?

The wind is blowing out at 12 mph in left/left-center, but the total is only 8.5 with Edwin Jackson on the mound. The Cubs have only scored 2 runs in the first two games.

Leaning Cubs o4 +105

Speed Row 3 Carl Edwards +200. Was a solid 3rd in practice sessions behind JJ and Kyle. JJ to win at +275.
JJ had the best car all day and was pretty much unbeatable. Nice win. Edwards, was running 2nd for the good portion of the early race. then it was either his 2nd or 3rd pit and his car just sucked afterwards. went from 2nd to 8th, and then to 18th. I'd be asking my pit crew WTFMFERS!!~

How we doing in here this weekend? I have way too much going on right now to keep up during weekends but last nights hockey game was awesome.

I had over 2.5 in the Brazil/France Friendly.

Ref awards a PK to Brazil in the 92' and they convert for a 3-0 victory.

Tough break for the sportsbook

Rockies miracle comeback keeps the parlay alive!!! :excited: I have Gregerson in fantasy.
I tailed your parlay and just hedged on StL for a no risk prop.Ditto on Gregerson, but his K put me over the top in K/9. ERA be damned.
I'm 3rd in WHIP and 10th in ERA, that's my team in a nutshell. $100 entry fee and I'd rather Gregerson get a save than win my $100 bet, I have a sickness.

My staff was anchored by Sabathia, Cain, and Dickey to start the season. That will tell you plenty about my starters. I am rolling with Iwakuma, Ubaldo, Travis Wood, Gausman, and Liriano now. My relievers that I started with have maybe 1 healthy ligament in the bunch left.FML.

How is stuckey doing? I stopped following once he wasn't public anymore
No clue. He never posts his record that I've seen.
He posts some of his baseball picks but I'm not sure how often he does it. From what I've seen he treads a lot of water. Nothing wrong with that if you are hitting a few good days a month but I haven't seen a whole lot of that. His hockey run was ridiculous this year but I haven't seen a lot of anything from him outside of that.

He lost on Ottawa, Detroit, San Jose, LAK and the Pens in five of the last six series he's bet in hockey also. He's claimed to have bought out of some of those plays with game plays but that has been after the fact as far as I've seen. Smart guy, he posts some cool baseball factoids on twiter sometimes which I like.
