Too bad.....that coulda been special.

Coulda woulda shoulda....but that 6'8" dude seemed like a good option with the attention all gone elsewhere.
Yeah, I hear ya.

We move on.

"Those who chose to leave early, and there were many, ..." - Bob Costas

So I have some teasers on Saints -0.5 and +0.5, 3u to win about 12.5u

I want to hedge a little on the Miami ML but my book has it N/A

Anyone have a good ML on Miami and a Pay-Friend account that wouldn't mind placing the bet for me?

Favorite team is Atlanta Braves. Never miss a game. Watch them in the morning at work..when they visit Cincy I go down there and take my boys.

Bet 2 units to win 40 on the Dodgers to win the WS back with the FFA when they were in last place

Never mind they posted it now Miami +255

Hedged so with a Saints win I get 9.5u, Miami wins I get 4.5u

Thought about letting it ride but it's the NFL so I'll take the guaranteed profit

My hockey futures at RB:

Team Points

2U Calgary U73.5 (-115)

2U Chicago O103.5 (-115)

2U Buffalo U83.5 (-115)

1U Anaheim O89.5 (-115)

1U NY Rangers O97.5 (-115)

1U San Jose O95.5 (-115)

1U NY Islanders O87.5 (-115)

Might hedge out of that Rangers bet though. Liking it less given their long road trip to start the season.

Player Matchups

2U Goals Stamkos > Malkin (-160)
1U Goals Neal > Malkin (-115)
1U Goals Perry > Iginla (-125)
1U Goals Moulson > Eriksson (-135)
1U Points Perry > Iginla (-140)
1U Points Eriksson > B.Ryan (+110)
1U Points Marleau > Gaborik (+110)
2U Points M.Koivu > Kesler (-130)

UTEP v La Tech

Last week Colorado State jumped out to a 28-7 halftime lead on UTEP, watched as the Miners tied the score at 28-all in the middle of the third quarter, then scored the next 24 points en route to a 59-42 win. Meanwhile, Army ran for 414 yards and passed for 16 — on three attempts and one completion — in a 35-16 win over Louisiana Tech. nbcsports.com

I went and compared all the stats the NCAA has on UTEP and La Tech for 2013, put them in a table, then sorted them by their strengths/weaknesses. When you compare the two, UTEP is generally stronger on offense, while La Tech is generally stronger on defense. At first glance, UTEP's turnover margin and red zone offense stand out. link

Sent this to a Hockey Krishna friend of mine and he endorsed just about all of these. Wasnt a fan of Koivu > Kesler and said Chicago may have an early season let down after the cup run.

I just checked the Point totals to northbet.com and you are getting 4-7 points of value on every one...... so you got that going for you.

I just tailed most of these - so good luck to us.

Denver opening up at -6.5 @ Dallas

2u please

Until I see someone hang with them I'm gonna ride them...may go ahead and add 2 more
Denver is the only team in the NFL with three home games. I would probably be careful until at least the following week vs. Jacksonville

Word out of vegas is baring a major injury the Denver Jax game will open at 27.5
Could be one of the heaviest (sp?) bet games of the year with all the attention/ thoughts of "free money!" people will pour onto the Broncos. If I can buy up to/the line moves up to +28.5, I'm taking the Jags. Any scoring they could muster would potentially blow the cover for the Broncos.

plus they get the Blackmon back.

what am i missing on these 2? looks like they are both Corey Perry, so is it the same bet at different odds?

Blackhawks division is weak.

Blues are good and the Wild are improving, but they should beat up on the rest.

Kesler's division is tougher than Koivu's, plus Koivu should be on Parise's line while Kesler will be playing with Hansen/Higgins.

I like Tampa tonight despite Price's career troubles v Texas.

Also I don't think one month's worth of run differentials means anything, playoffs is a new season and the Dodgers, Atlanta and Detroit had little to play for all month at their trajectory. Pittsburgh pretty much only plays one run games, I suppose their numbers are more noteworthy. I definitely like the Reds tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm not sure. And you're right, some teams have been in cruise control. At the same time, Cleveland's been eating everyone the past month based on some pretty nice pitching, I'm probably on them against the Sox assuming they're 'dogs.

Fangraphs had a good writeup as to how the Pirates might approach the Reds game. As nutty as a one-game playoff is, there are a lot of interesting strategic implications. And when that's the case, I don't have a lot of faith in Dusty. I looked at the line, I think I'd lay off.

Yeah, Dusty is the great equalizer. I am very sweet on the Reds, but I was a year ago also and they completely melted down after going up 2-0 in a series where the last three were at home. I think they have the most talent and the right parts in the NL, but Dusty is bound to screw it up. Pirates are tough, but I don't like them in a series with ebbs and flows. I'll go Reds tomorrow with a + number, but with no real confidence.

Cleveland probably beats the Rangers but I think Tampa presents some problems for them. Indians running a rookie pitcher out there is an interesting choice, but Francona is the ant-Dusty and knows what buttons to push. A Sox/Indians series would be a fun one, lots of runs going around and they match up somewhat even. If that is the case you would have one high scoring series, and one low one between Oakland and Detroit. Opposite styles and strengths to clash in the ALCS. I think Tampa gets through to Boston though.

Ugh, these 1 game playoffs games are killer for the digestive system.

Let's go rays.

Bet Texas and over 7.5.... Imma get paid if we lose.

Already bet Over and over 1H tonight.

I can't recall too many times betting the over on Home games in New Orleans and coming out of it that bad.
