FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

I am so pissed. This is what I did around noon today:

Since McCarthy joined the D-Backs last season he is 1-6 SU and 0-7 O/U with the roof closed at Chase. The D-Backs scored 2,1,6,1,2,1,2 in those. The opponent scored 4,4,1,4,5,5,5 respectively. He is 1-8 SU at home this season overall with opponent run totals of 9,6,5,2,5,5,5,5,9. The average line in those games was -111.
And then I watched the Giants team total go from o4 +105 to o4 +110. and Their ML was around +100 all day long. I saw the majority of wagers on the Giants and avoided them. Plus they were 0-6 L6 going into tonight. I don't normally vent but damn, man. Why the hell did I take the Padres. Stupid crap.

Played a few quick rounds of PLO8 last night. I don't know what's better than flopping top set, making the nut low on the turn, and then boating the river and having opponent bet into you, but it's gotta be in the "Getting blown by Gisele" range.
Yeah - it happens from time to time. Not nearly enough though. You get to keep it all when you shipped or did he keep a quarter?
Scoop city. He tanked for a long time, so I figured if he called, it wouldn't be with quads or the 2-3.

Rangers/Los Angeles Angels Over 8 +115

Wanted action for the game tonight and the over is 9-2 (6-0 L6) in Yu's starts versus the Angels. The average total in those games was 8.0. And they gave me +115, so I took it. Action junk.

Last year the Rangers suffered a 5-4 11th-inning loss to the Angels in Anaheim on Apr 23. The next night Yu Darvish and the Rangers beat the Angels 11-3.

Real talk, I do pretty much all of my own research and I still don't really know or adhere to what a "unit" should be. Compared to all the other times of the year, such as football season, basketball, hockey, etc.. this seems like a real "down market" since it's just baseball. I would think it would be really hard to be trying to put together an investment strategy right now. It's a down market, you really got to scale it back, brohan.

Especially with soccer and whatnot - and this is just me - but when I start trying to do all the +300s and stuff it doesn't get me as high when I try to go back to baseball and pay 107 to only win 100. Same thing with futures.

I look at it this way. I'm a fat middle aged father with a wife and kid with two professional salaries. I'm not rich by any stretch, but I'm lucky compared to most. Even if "my bankroll" is wiped out I'm either going to bet $100 or I just cant afford to bet it. At the other end of the spectrum if my bankroll is so big that I can up my average bet past $200 then it's time for a withdrawal. I still have a mortgage and I still have a kid to put through college in 11 years so I can't justify betting *THAT* big except on a special occasion.

I look at it the same way at the poker room. I've been well funded enough to play in the "Big" 5-10 game there with the $3K buy in. But I just can't justify losing a mortgage payment when I flop a set and the other guy has a st8 flush draw and we are flipping for mortgage payments.

Tomlin, Bolsinger, and Stults today. gllll
I have Stults +134 and Tomlin +117. I didn't play Bolsinger because of his limited experience, but he would have to be historically putrid for +142 (what it was overnight) not to be a good play.

That being said, Saturday and Sunday are the only two losing days out of the week. I can't yet explain this, could easily be variance. good luck.

562 USA (World Cup) pk,-½ +312 (at 5D)

I played this, but still not sure how these work.
Half of the bet is on pk, half of the bet is on -0.5.

So if there's a draw, you get half of your bet back and lose the other half. If the US wins, you win it all. If they lose, you lose it all.

Is 5'10" 250lbs considered fat?

But a draw was like +280 and US win was like +350If half my bet is on draw AND they draw, don't I wind up ahead?

I gotchoo by 35 lbs and I don't think i'm fat. I'm a lil taller tho.

So guess what happened to me...had $150 bets in on the Tigers -1.5 and over 8.5 last night at sportsbetting...or so I thought. I was trying to tail RNat'. Apparently I ####ed that up cause it was still pending today (should have won $150 and lost the other). I contacted SB, they let me know that I had placed those wagers on todays games - which is odd in that they don't typically offer lines on following days games(this was before last nights games and I swear Verlander was the SP offered) or so I haven't seen. I argued. I lost. The SP showing on my card today was Max. They also cancelled my freeplay bets (which I went 3-1). So I put all the freeplay on US soccer. And anyway Tigers are rolling today...so eff them.
