Signed up for the 3 pack but received no confirmation e-mail either although when I go to the site I can log in and see my three teams (but not much else).

you guys probably already did this, but check for the confirmation email in your junk email folder. I got my confirmation right away.

I signed up for the 3 pack and got no recognition as well. I got no e-mail confirmation either. I called and they sent me an e-mail which verified my draft times, but when I log in, I still can't find my teams. My first draft is on the 26th. Anyone know when a link is sent for the league or draft?

can;t even do that. when i click on the login link, it gets this:Not FoundThe requested URL /mydiv was not found on this server.

Nice prizes, nice advertising, so far less than impressive with the actual running of the league. You have to sign up for the league before you can go on the message board, so you can't ask questions before you join. Unless you email them, and it seems to be taking quite a while to get answers. If you read their boards it seems like you don't know if your draft is going off until just before the start time. And it doesn't sound like they've got all the bugs worked out of their draft room. They may have lots of money behind them but it doesn't seem to have gotten them a smooth operation - yet.

Just finished drafting......pretty smooth overall....about 1:45 minute total....support so far has been pretty

good, (message board and telephone)....20, 000 plus teams, well thats another story, i guess we'll see.

I'm in for the 3 pack. My first draft is 7/27.

For those with trouble with access, just remember to log off then login again. That seems to fix most situations.

I received my league assignment and draft slot. It's league 12. They have a long way to go but's it's just been a couple of weeks of lots of people don't want to draft this early (although July and August drafts have additional prize pools). I'm cautiously optimistic the event will go off.

So how do you beat 20,000 players? Not by following published ADP, that's for sure.

i bought the ten pack. figure i cant find better odds then 1 in 20,000(??) to win 1mil

then i found this article as I was looking around. im interested to see if anyone agrees with this writers thoughts.

http://ownersedge.fanball.com/article/2008...d-Gets-The-Worm

i keep thinking about last year when i got b. marshall in round 12 in june and he was a much higher pick in sept at wcoff

just wondering what you guys think

Just entered sounds like fun plus cant beat the price.Never played in a high stakes game before or a league where you can start two QBs.Guess I will have to reevaluate my usual draft strategy.

Sorry, to slow. Got a library close to you? Most of them have road runner. ETA- you could input a cheat sheet. I don't think dial up lets you refresh fast enough to follow the draft the way you'd want to.

Am I reading the Waiver/Free Agent rules correctly, because if I am it sounds like if you drop a WR (for example) you can only add a WR, both for the blind bidding waivers and the FCFS free agents. So you can't drop a WR for a RB. Wouldn't that mean that you will never be able to acquire more players at a position than what you have at the end of the draft? So if you only draft, say, 5 RB's, you will never be able to acquire 6 RB's during the season. Or am I missing something?

I thought that too, but no. The rule refers to dropping a player from your starting lineup. For some reason they make a special rule to insure you have a legal lineup. You can drop a bench player and pick up anyone.

Just finished draft.I think the draft room could be a little more user friendly wasn't notified that the league was filled until an hour before draft time and then when I tried to log on kept getting an error message so I called them an too their credit was immediately fixed am not sure everyone made it to draft though so there will probably be some upset folks.I do think they will work out the bugs though.Support seemed very professional

Here is the team I assembled from the 6th hole. With QB also able to be your flex, I wanted to make sure I got two quality ones. I missed defenses I was targetting a few times and finally just decided to go late and hope Oakland, Washington or one of the few left undrafted can workout.

Although I felt like I did steal quite a few players, remember these are 10 player leagues.

Team = Footballguys

QBs: Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers

RBs: Brian Westbrook, LenDale White, Kevin Smith, Ahman Green, Chris Johnson, Chris Brown

WRs: Steve Smith, Roy Williams, Greg Jennings, Kevin Curtis, Nate Burleson, Jabar Gaffney

TEs: Jason Witten, Vernon Davis

PKs: Nick Folk

Defs: Oakland, Washington

QBs: Love getting strong QBs in a flex QB situation. The rules state you can hold a maximum of three QBs which is a little funky. I rolled the dice on Rodgers as I suspect the Packers would have already named Favre the starter if they were keeping him.

RBs: My entire strategy was to grab 1 quality RB and piece together decent committees on the cheap. I locked up Houston and Tennessee's running game. I also have Kevin Smith who I expect will grab the starting gig at some point. Running back could easily be my top priority on the waiver wire.

WRs: I am very pleased with this group and got virtually everyone below market value.

TEs: I grab the top TE and one with the potential to be great.

PKs: I grabbed a quality kicker before the run on them happened.

Defs: Oakland, Washington - The top defenses went way sooner than I had hoped. This led to virtually all defenses being over-valued in this league (in my opinion). I was a pick away from snagging Buffalo and Chicago and when it went south, I punted until the very end. I like the addition of Taylor to Washington and the additions the Raiders added so maybe I get lucky here.

Here is my entire draft, round by round:

Round 1 : RB Brian Westbrook

Round 2 : QB Tony Romo

Round 3 : WR Steve Smith

Round 4 : QB Ben Roethlisberger

Round 5 : WR Roy Williams

Round 6 : TE Jason Witten

Round 7 : WR Greg Jennings

Round 8 : RB LenDale White

Round 9 : RB Kevin Smith

Round 10 : QB Aaron Rodgers

Round 11 : WR Kevin Curtis

Round 12 : WR Nate Burleson

Round 13 : TE Vernon Davis

Round 14 : RB Ahman Green

Round 15 : K Nick Folk

Round 16 : RB Chris Johnson

Round 17 : RB Chris Brown

Round 18 : TDSP Oakland Raiders

Round 19 : WR Jabar Gaffney

Round 20 : TDSP Washington Redskins

I don't think Booker or Chad Jackson got drafted. The limits really mess up a lot of things (QB=3, RB=6, WR=6, TE=3, PK=3, Def=3)

I think most of us would have drafted more WRs and certainly the QBs would have went deeper. Someone like Warner was not selected in our league because you really need to play 2 of the three QBs each week.

I am likely a lot higher on Lendale than most. But even if he falters, I think Chris Johnson then becomes more valuable. I am not sold on Ahman Green at all, but to get both Green and Chris Brown also feels like a good safety net. I agree that riskier drafting is likely what it will take to win this thing though and I think future drafts I am going to take a whole lot more chances at things.

Nice squad David.....i like the Westbrook/Romo combo...could be a little trouble for you if you make it to

the week 10 Championship game with Dallas on a bye though (Romo, Witten, Folk)...anyhow, the site

and the support look pretty good so we shall see how all this plays out.....I was shocked at how quick the QB's

went, something i'll definitely keep a eye on when i draft my 2nd squad.....here's how my 1st team shaped up

drafting out of the 8 hole.

Round 1 : WR Randy Moss

Round 2 : RB Frank Gore

Round 3 : QB Carson Palmer

Round 4 : WR Anquan Boldin

Round 5 : TE Jason Witten

Round 6 : RB Earnest Graham

Round 7 : TE Tony Gonzalez

Round 8 : WR Bernard Berrian

Round 9 : QB Philip Rivers

Round 10 : RB DeAngelo Williams

Round 11 : TDSP Pittsburgh Steelers

Round 12 : QB Aaron Rodgers

Round 13 : RB Ryan Torain

Round 14 : RB Tatum Bell

Round 15 : TDSP New York Giants

Round 16 : WR Reggie Williams

Round 17 : K Phil Dawson

Round 18 : WR Mark Clayton

Round 19 : WR Ernest Wilford

Round 20 : K Jason Hanson

David - I like that team a lot.

Nicely done.

I did the math and figured out the most teams I can have in this thing is 32. Thinking about skipping WCOFF and going big in this one.

32 shots at $1M or 1 shot (with travel expenses) at $300K?

Here is the team I came up with from the #1 spot. I'm usually in leagues with a minimum of 12 teams that use PPR and only 1 QB so this draft had an unusual feel to it. I assume others will be curious to see how some of these drafts played out. I also continued to miss out on the D's so gave up on those until the end. I felt I only messed up one pick which was Clayton in the 12th. I was all set to take the Chicago D or J Campbell and they both went right before me. I usually grade my drafts not only by looking at my starters, but by looking at the strength of my main backups at each position. E Manning, L White/K Smith (White should be good in nonppr), D Driver and Scheffler form this group so I came away satisfied.

SnakeInTheGrass

Round 1: LaDainian Tomlinson

Round 2: Larry Fitzgerald

Round 3: Ryan Grant

Round 4: Ben Roethlisberger

Round 5: Plaxico Burress

Round 6: Eli Manning

Round 7: Roy Williams

Round 8: LenDale White

Round 9: Donald Driver

Round 10: Todd Heap

Round 11: Kevin Smith

Round 12: Mark Clayton

Round 13: Tony Scheffler

Round 14: Nick Folk

Round 15: Chris Johnson

Round 16: Tarvaris Jackson

Round 17: New York Giants

Round 18: Brandon Jackson

Round 19: Robert Meachem

Round 20: David Akers

David and others- Roster limits ONLY apply to during the draft. After Waivers/Free agents begin you can exceed things like 3 QBs or 6 RBs. Heck moderator there said we could go 5 kickers during the season if we wanted to :o

also I read someone mentioned this but it's very important so worth mentioning again. If you have any trouble like not seeing your teams just log off then log back in. It's a pain but a simple solution to common problem on that site.

David, I'll refrain from quoting your entire post. But for comparison sake, here is the squad I drafted from the 6-hole in Sunday night's draft:

1. (6) Addai (took him after the usual 4 RBs and Brady were gone)

2. (15) Wayne (second WR taken, Romo went right before me at 14 overall)

3. (26) S.Smith (great minds thinks alike)

4. (35) M.Turner (only 5 QBs taken so far, but I passed on Roethlisberger to get a potential breakout RB)

5. (46) Winslow (Witten went 39, but I passed up Gates because of fear of his injury)

6. (55) E.Graham (solid value here IMO)

7. (66) M.Harrison (I like the Colts and their passing game, what can I say?)

8. (75) Schaub (if he can stay healthy . . . )

9. (86) Delhomme (ditto)

10. (95) DeAngelo Williams (I'm not sure if he'll play much or not, but I figured he was sitting there undrafted too long)

11. (106) Bryant Johnson

12. (115) Ike Bruce (somebody has to catch balls in the Martz offense, so I have the two leading candidates)

13. (126) Indy D (see above, plus most of the "name" Ds were gone, plus the Colts open against the Bears and Vikings with Grossman/Orton and T.Jackson at QB)

14. (135) Norwood (locked up Atlanta running game, for whatever that's worth)

15. (146) Heath Miller

16. (155) Rhodes (hopefully he'll beat out Keith and Hart for Indy RB No. 2)

17. (166) Patten (can he beat out Meachem for NO WR No.2?)

18. (175) Donald Lee

19. (186) Rosenfels (in case Schaub goes down)

20. (195) Kris Brown

Self-critique -- I have too many WRs with Week 9 byes (four). I may have waited too long to take my first QB, but so be it. I like that I didn't take a second D. I'll add one from the waiver wire when an unexpected good D emerges. Overall, not horrible, not great. In a 10-team league, every team looks good at first.

i agree about the second team

you have some healthy risks at qb but both have lots of upside

how many teams are you planning on drafting?

If you're referring to me, I've drafted three teams with seven more to go (total of 10).I'll probably stop there, but I've been known to splurge before.

Hey JP, I'm in league 12 as well. How do you see your draft slot? I can't find it!

TexasHeat,

I got the email. You did too, but it's probably in your spam folder. Just because I'm a good guy, I'll tell you your draft slot.

You have the .............

Just a little suspense. I have the 1.

You have the 8.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but did you all see this in the offical rules. They can cancel this whole thing by 8/25 if they don't get enough teams. I think there might be a fair chance this happens.

All contests like this have an out if signups fall below what they want/need. It's part of the law that was passed regarding internet gambling and the carve-out for fantasy sports. In the past the contest could do prety much anything it wanted, such as reduce the prizes, etc. Not any more. There are a limited number of options and there are rules to follow. Could they cancel? I suppose so, but at this point I'd bet they end up running it. With what thye have already spent on marketing, developing the web site, and improving their support systems it looks like they are going to give it a try. And as Beantown points out, what type of bump do they get when they run out the winner of the million dollars? They know how to publicize stuff, based on the people running this. So it comes down to what are they prepared to lose (invest) this year and will they make it back down the road.

I have to agree with your statements. Considering the fact that you aren't getting your money back from all the USA Todays, Magazine Ads, etc. That's a loss. However, they only need 10-13K to break even so why not just run it?

I tend to believe they are going to run it.

Just drafted my 9th team.

Susan, care to share the highlights (or lowlights) of your latest draft?I'm always eager to hear about these.

I did a draft Friday night. There were some issues drafting, and no supervisor in the draft room. THIS IS A BIG ISSUE IMO. We had some guys who couldn't get their pick through (they claimed it woudln't let them). They seemed to be alright with it. But I think they need a commish present to halt the draft, and make the pick, especially when someone has plunked down $125.

I tried to sign up for tonight but they won't take any more. Drafting in July will end up being far better odds for the bonus from this bracket as the number of teams you are competing against will be much smaller. And it seems like the signups have started to roll now.

I am already committed to 15 individual leagues so I think I am going to be one of them guys that waits a year and see how it pans out. I'll be drafting early and often next year if I see that 1.7 million paid out in Vegas. I plan to be there too next year!

Thanks for shareing. This was good reading and keep it up!

not to be the lead weight holding down this hype train, but what is the big secret about who is behind this? Seems to me that those involved would do everything in their power to market this contest?

I've seen at least a dozen posts in this thread alone along the lines of "they have deep pockets, they're serious, they have a multi year plan, it cant fail, ZOMG!111!, etc..."

Its not that i dont trust the people posting these statements, its that i dont trust anyone. And i especially dont like secrets when it comes to gambling...ahem, i mean Fantasy Football Contests.

So, what gives?

just signed up for 3 teams...anyone else drafting tonight?
In league #3 drafting tonight at 7:00 PM CT. Have the #1 spot.
How do you tell the draft order?I go to the league page and I'm 10th on the list...is that the draft order?
I don't think that is the draft order. I didn't know what pick I had until I got into the draft room 1 hr before. I was listed #8 on the list of teams, but I had the #3 pick.

Just got done with the draft...fairly happy with how it went

From the #1 hole

1.01 - LT - no brainer here for me

2.10 - Jones-Drew - Best RB available...and I just flat out like the guy (Brees, Peyton, Romo all went before 2.10)

3.01 - Roethlisberger - painful to take him but I freaked out at all the QBs going.

4.10 - Torry Holt - best WR available

5.01 - Brandon Marshall - risky but like his upside, be nice goodell

6.10 - Tony Gonzalez - didn't wanna be stuck and TEs were going fast...think this is a good spot for him

7.01 - David Garrard - Qbs going quick wanted the option to use one in the flex...and I like Garrard this year.

8.10 - Marvin Harrision - best WR available on my board...think he'll be good to go

9.01 - Jonathen Stewart - nearly did a backflip when he was still on the board

10.10 - Hines Ward - gets into the redzone and needed some WR depth for Marshall/Marvin

11.01 - Chester Taylor - once agian BACKFLIP

12.10 - Anthony Gonzalez - Harrison insurance...one of them will be a steal

13.01 - Jason Campbell - QBs flyin again has excellent bye week matchups for my other 2

14.10 - Darrell Jackson - Marshall Insurance

15.01 - Dallas D - was going to wait longer but the clock was about to run out on me

16.10 - Ryan Torain - BACKFLIP

17.01 - LJ Smith - good backup for T Gonz

18.10 - Ray Rice - shot in the dark

19.01 - Green Bay D - clock got me again

20.10 - John Kasay - tried to take James Hardy but it wouldn't let me for some reason...clock ran out and I got a Kicker

All in all I like the team couple late round RBs that could make it a real good team.

Quite a bit hinges on Marshall not being out for too long and Harrison being 80% of his old self....we shall see.

Draft Dominator says I'm the best team...thats usually a good sign for me :football:

Hindsight I would probably have waited on TE and my second QB...oh well
