Finless - RIP (1 Viewer)

Sitting in my car drinking a coffee and reading the paper while waiting for my son's hockey game to start...never look at obits but while leafing through the Boston Globe pic of Chris caught my eye, one of the fishing photos, accompanied by a nice write up.
Anyone able to find this online?

I just wanna say that nobody should feel bad for hijacking this thread if it leads to more awareness. Awareness for others to never try it, to inspire us to help a friend or loved one, or even as a reminder to treat people better. Awake up call for some.

Christ I'm getting soft.

Late notice but I don't get on Facebook that regularly

Please join us if you can, to celebrate Chris Holmes life at the Ole Restaurant 11 Springfield Street Cambridge, Massachusetts on Saturday December 6th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The speaking portion of the program will begin at 2:00 PM and we encourage you to bring your favorite "Chris Story".

Chris touched so many lives and we want to be inclusive. Please share this invitation with someone we may have missed.

We have been so grateful and so very touched by the many people not only in Colorado and New England but around the country who have shared their stories, love, generosity and sadness surrounding this tremendous loss.

The entrance to the function room is the side door near the parking lot. Parking is available for a nominal fee. If full, metered parking is available on the street where available.

As it's going on now at this moment, I've said a prayer for him and his family. I knew him less than most of you as I didn't participate in his threads, but the loss of a life so young and at his own hands of despair is heartbreaking. RIP and God bless.

Tell them CSTU from the internet is disappointed that none of us could attend.

I am still upset that we could not save finless after his cry for help.

He wanted help, but he wanted help on his terms. And his terms were incompatible with.... living a happy life. Thus the cycle of substance abuse. Wish I had more answers, but that's all I got.

I wish I had been kinder and more understanding of him. I treated him with skepticism and at times, scorn. I didn't know what or really who he was but recognized he had a respectful following from some of the best minds on this board. I'm sorry I wasn't nicer to you, Fin. I talked to you once and in that moment, I recognized that you were more than a showman on a message board....you were a person. RIP Fin. You are going to be missed.
A lot of lessons to be learned here.
