First Presidential Debate (1 Viewer)

Ahh, but the strawberries that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox DID exist, and I'd have produced that key if they hadn't of pulled the Caine out of action. I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers...

Where is that on you rlist?

Just as important, on Andy's?

Joe Concha Opinion piece is your support here?

Even Trump said Holt did a good job...then an ok job.  Depends when you ask him I guess.
Right after the debate, Trump said Holt did a good job and was fair.  Meghan Kelly (a former moderator) praised Holt for his work.  Then the Fox News/Breitbart spin got a hold of them.  Suddenly Trump had a rough night because the moderator wasn't fair to Donald and his microphone was defective.  Watching the debate, did anyone think they couldn't adequately hear Trump?  I think most complaints were that people were actually listening to Trump.

Trump says we are third world.

In a way I suppose he is right with the way  him and his supporters have made a mockery of this election.

Not to mention implied assassination threats.

Other than that we are most definitely first world no matter what the blathering idiot says.
As an outsider, I'm surprised he doesn't take more heat for the third world thing. Your country isn't perfect but it's not third world and its not less than great. I guess maybe I just don't get the disillusionment because Canada is ####### awesome (and most places I've visited in the States are very similar but are also largely in the northeast).

How bad was Trump last night?  Clinton wasn't very good, yet came off very well because of how bad he was.
She wasn't great,  I'll admit that.  But she looked absolutely fantastic against the competition.  The best,  believe me.

My complaint was that I could hear him too well.

Meghan Kelly still saying Lester Holt was fair and did a good job.

Sean Hannity just now: "The main challenge for Trump last night was to show the country that he is prepared to be President-and zip think he passed that test with flying colors!"

:lmao:

The polls showing Trump as the winner were online polls.  If we decided stuff based on online polls the Cowboys would win the Super Bowl every year, the Yankees would win the World Series every year, and Ron Paul would be ending his second term as president of the United States.
Was the CNN poll an online poll also?

This does remind me of the primaries where these pundits gossip around a table and pretend they're experts, but I guess we'll see how the next set of polls turn out.

It wasn't supposed to pick up his sniffles after his cocaine binge

26% of the respondents who participated in tonight's survey identified themselves as Republicans,

41% identified themselves as Democrats,

and 33% identified themselves as Independents.

Hmm, wonder in which direction those survey results will slant?
The margin was huge though. 62- 36%.  And in the Public Policy Poll it was 52-40, without the same slant.

I think it's safe to say most people thought Hillary won. We'll see how it's reflected in the polls this weekend.

On energy

“We tried investing in solar once, and it failed big time, so if you think I’m going to let us get swindled by the sun again, you’re wrong. Some people say the sun is the source of life, but not me—to me, the sun is the China of the sky. It’s screwing us. We’ve got a terrible deal with the sun. Sunburn, skin cancer, people going blind by staring at eclipses. It’s awful, Lester. It destroyed our ozone. How do we get our ozone back? Maybe time travel again. The point is, #### the sun.”

Then let's set a proper baseline.  If 100% of Republicans say Trump won, 100% of Democrats say Clinton won, and Independents split 50/50, the poll results would favor Clinton 57.5% to 42.5%.  How did the results compare to that?

She won 62% to 27%  of the  people who declared a winner....  so using that baseline Trump only got  a 1% bump from that Independent vote and Clinton got  a 21% bump....However you wanna look at it, even with the skewed participation,  Trump got his sniffling ### kicked.

   Your'e giving Trump all the undecided votes...  The true number was 62-27%

Nate Silver says it doesn't matter because the goal is to get a number that is accurate to the election result.  Silver says CNN samples heavily from democrats but they are also fairly accurate so it works.

Did you notice pretty much every one of the few times Hillary tried to sneak a word in while he was speaking he would quickly say "excuse me" as if interrupting him was a bad thing?
Interrupting anyone while they are speaking is a bad thing.  They all do it however.
